I brought this not too long ago and i have to say it's great. My wife was always complaining about my practicing considering that i'm a beginner, but since i got this no complaints. The only two draw backs is that it i needed to buy a special adapter to fit my ibanez sr500 bass because the thing wouldn't lock-in due to the design of my bass. Secondly the ear phones that it came with was absolutely garbage. I went and brought the audiotechnica ATH-M50 studio headphones and it sounds perfect especially jamming along with my ipod that i can plug in to the amp line-in jack. Once again an all around great buy

It does not fit the Ibanez SR basses, because the jack connection on the bass is deeply carved in the wood. The amp does work nicely though it would have been nice to have some more amp feats like an eq and enhance on this thing.Noise is not normal, and a noise gate connected to an auto shut down mechanism could possibly increase battery life.A device like this sold for nearly $50 should have these capabilities at least!

Comments about C Tech Pocket Rock-It S1b Standard Bass Headphone Amp:
It works in that it produces sound. The sound isn't too bad, I'm not expecting effects or great tone, just semi-accurate sound reproduction. And that's the problem - I have a hard time telling if I'm playing the right note, the sound reproduction is not at all accurate. It's not an instrument problem, tuning is checked, intonation is good, but at times it sounds as much as a half-step off. The amp just doesn't produce accurate sound. If you just want to play scales or exercises, it's great. But for anything else, you will spend time wondering if you're playing the right note.

Comments about C Tech Pocket Rock-It S1b Standard Bass Headphone Amp:
I've had two of these, and they are noisy and go through batteries quickly. The first one was pretty good for awhile but I learned to disconnect the battery when I wasn't using it. As it got older, it got noisier. Thinking I might have damaged it by dragging it around in my gig bag, I bought another. It was noisy, hissy and crackly right out of the package. I wouldn't get another.
Comments about C Tech Pocket Rock-It S1b Standard Bass Headphone Amp:
I love this little amp! It does exactly what it's suppose to do. Now I can play my bass late at night without disturbing my family and I even bring my bass to work and I'm able to play without disturbing my co-workers. The line in allows me to hook up an Ipod and or my laptop and play along with music and the tone is pretty decent. The headphones are garbage though, so I threw those away and used my Sony stereo headphones and the sound improvement was 100 times better.
Comments about C Tech Pocket Rock-It S1b Standard Bass Headphone Amp:
The space to hold the battery is so tight, there are certain brands of 9V batteries that will not allow you to close the battery cover without breaking it.I have found that the following brands will not fit: Premier Value (generic drugstore brand) and Safeway.Duracell batteries will fit--just barely. You might have to wiggle the battery and/or cover a bit to get it to close. So far I have found that Eveready Gold fits the best. I haven't bought any Energizers yet, so I don't know about those.
Comments about C Tech Pocket Rock-It S1b Standard Bass Headphone Amp:
I have to admit from the start, I just began playing the bass, and barely know what end to hold on to. But I am very happy with this product, it sounds great and is simple to operate.
Comments about C Tech Pocket Rock-It S1b Standard Bass Headphone Amp:
If you really need the most compact way to rehearse silently, this is the way to go. Hooks right into the bass, just connect your headphones and your ipod and you can play along with your music and not bother anyone. It is not a tone monster, but I connected to it via my sansamp BDDI and that helped the tone a lot. Ultimately I decided that a small mixer, for about the same price, was the better route for me to go, so I am selling it.
Comments about C Tech Pocket Rock-It S1b Standard Bass Headphone Amp:
It is exactly what it claims to be. It pretty noisy in both headphones and as a line in source (if you are going directly into a digital recorder, this is not a great solution), but it does a fine job in reproducing the low end. Its a great beginner HA, but next time, think I'll go with V1b series.
