It's well made & I love the wooden angelboard for the pedals, though I do wish thay had use a wee bit thicker wood. Still, the upward angle makes it easier to access the stomp boxes footswitches especially if you place one in front of the other. In my case I removed the 2 screws that secures the angleboard in place, & using a 1.25" hole saw cut one hole on the top of the board, for wires to pass through, and 3 other holes in front for air circulation and put all my wall-warts underneath the slanted angleboard and secured it back down. All incoming wires/cables come in and leave from the top hole, no fuss or mess. The velcro isn't too bad but I also used Ideal brand screw-mount cable ties to secure down all my pedals as well. I slid one cable-tie in the other and thus have a place for two 3/4x10 sheet metal screws to secure my pedals down - 1 screw on each side. I also cut small 3/4" wide strips of the supplied velcro to use as cable guides to help secure down the few guitar cables that need to be run on top. Power cables and cords leaving the pedalboard have been bundled together so at the nights end I simply coil it all up, put the over on and I'm done. With a little planning it is a very convienent pedalboard. Does not slide around when I am stepping on the stompboxes regardless of the surface. I'm very happy with it.

Don't waste your time on this product. I did, and I regret it. I returned the smaller size case after thinking it would be good for my bass pedals set up. The size wasn't the problem. The lack of quality is a problem. I received the product damaged and upon further inspection realized this is not a quality product. The factory used brittle plastic (it cracked off) instead of rubber "feet" on the the rear panel (this you would use when the case is closed and standing on end). Also, there isn't a storage pocket of any kind in the top portion of the cover. This means your extra wires will be flopping around on top of your pedals or you will have to carry another case. That defeats the purpose of having the one pedalboard case. I saw the product in one music store and the hinges were mis-aligned and the case wouldn't close. So, I guess "quality control" isn't high on the list at Core Products. Save your money & get a better quality case that will last and avoid the aggravation.

After investing into the perfect pedal collection I decided to start playing some gigs. I went with 2 of the core boards as I have two different rigs built up. I found the case super lightweight and the velcro worked easy just cut it up to fit each pedal.Ok the real bonus here is that I have some heavy EH pedals that needed to be screwed down - this board is plywood so it worked perfect!
Unbelievable. The plywood interior has to be 1/16" thick. The corners of the interior are allready chipping and spliting... I just layed a loop sta. on it and pressed down on the button and heard it crackle. I can't believe a manufacturer offers a product this poor. There are two "support beams" under the pedal platform, about 4" apart that do not offer any support for your pedals. THIS THING CAN'T TAKE ANY WEIGHT! PLEASE DON'T BUY IT, IT'S JUNK. I AM RETUNING IT ON MONDAY!
I got the smaller version, and overall I'm pleased with it. Its is by no means a case that would hold up to the torture of a roadie in a hurry, the diamond plate is very thin tin or aluminum. and the frame and hardware is equally made lightweight. BUT, This is a great case for the person that handles & transports their own equipment. This is a good case to keep my expensive pedals out of harms way and organised as long as I'm careful. For the price, Its worth it
Being French my review will not be perfect from the way of writting but I wanted to share my experience with other users. I knews that at a such a price I would get a low end product but I would have never expected to get such a low level of quality. While the outside of the case looks ok... the inside is a total mess. The pedal pad is made of 3 pieces of wood which were not cut and adjusted properly in the case. The upper part was detached from their side support and to be quite honest I wonder how this support will bear the plate once the stompboxes will be fixed on it. It is great to have such a product at an affordable price but not if the quality is at such a level. Runaway from this product!
I wanted a case for the pedals I use in my effects loop, and this thing works. I didn't need a pre-powered board, as I use a Visual Sound 1-spot, and I wanted a sturdy case rather than a plank in a gig bag. I bought the small one, and I'm able to fit a Boss CE-5 Chorus, an EH Stereo Pulsar, an EH Small Stone, an MXR Flanger, and a Boss DD-20 GigaDelay (double-sized Boss pedal) with room for the 1-spot and the flanger's 18-volt adapter. I could probably throw some cables in there with no problem. The only downside is that the included velcro doesn't stick to the pedals as well as it sticks to the other velcro. The adhesicve back is really sticky, but it sticks to the velcro on the board REALLY tightly. Maybe I adjusted my pedals too soon, though.
This is a nice pedal board. As others have said, the included velcro is weak -- the problem is with the glue on the supplied "rough" part that you need to put on the bottom of your pedals. The "soft" part of the velcro which is stapled on the actual board works fine...but you are going to want to get some replacement "rough" velcro, as the included stuff failed on me pretty much right away, even with light pedals. My other complaint is that the plywood is pretty thin -- you need to put for instance your wah wah on one of the ends or you can really feel it flex. Those two complaints aside, this is a great board. I actually have two of the "small" size -- one for pedals in my effects loop, and then another one for stuff out front. I find that this is easier to manage and has more space than the large size.
The title says it all. Throw in a power supply (I use a One-Spot in mine), get some velcro for the pedals themselves and you're set to go! Oh, and a word to the wise: Make sure you latch the top and bottom together ALL THE WAY before you pick it up! I've had a few close calls where I almost dumped my pedals all over. Nice board!
I got this pedalboard 5 years ago and it still works great! The only problum I had is that when I opened it, the board fell out. But thats nothing wood glue cant fix. I also tore out the velcro strips and put in one huge strip, so I can fit even more pedals. But when you measure your pedals to see if they will fit, make sure to add room for a power strip. This is the best pedal board I've used. SO BUY THIS ONE!!
I needed a case to house my seven pedals and this item does the trick. I was pleasantly surprised when the case arrive. The quality is really good and the case is sturdy and protects my investment well. My only gripe is the male velcro that comes with the case. The female velcro is already mounted to the pedal platform so you just need to cut the supplied male velcro and stick it to your pedals. The glue side of the male velcro comes off after moving pedals around. I recommend some industrial strength velcro. Other than that this case is a great buy!
This pedal board case is a nice piece of gear...The only issue I have with it is is that I do not believe that this is actually diamond plated metal. It appears to me to be plastic that LOOKS like diamond plate. OTHERWISE I think this case would be substantially heavier that what it actually is.. (I'm a firefighter by profession, trust me, I KNOW diamond plating when I see it)... Perhaps a change in the product description would be a good idea. Mentioning durable plastic with a diamond plate "look".. I think too that it was a little pricey but compared to some other gear of it's type I guess not overly so.. Hope this is helpful. I'm not trying to discourage anyone from buying the gear. JUST trying to help you to know what it is your actually getting..
