Crate

120W of brute force, 18 DSP effects, and much more in an affordable half stack.

Dig if you will the awesome FlexWave120H/FW412 half stack from Crate. If sheer volume combined with tone so outstanding it should be declared illegal is the action you crave, then put this roaring half stack in the cart now.

Producing 120 watts of savage power while sporting three channels and built in effects, it’s the perfect head for the gigging maniac. We guess you could use it in your bedroom too, if you don’t mind re-plastering the walls every week.

The FlexWave120H head's FlexWave Evolution preamp uses Crate's patented Sequential Channel Tracking technology, for a tone with balls so big, it needs a jumbo-sized jockstrap. Variable 3-channel operation allows you to switch between twang-adelic clean, hot-as-hell overdrive, and tortured high-gain channels via the included footswitch.

With 18 stereo DSP effects, Channel Tracking of effects settings, and Crate's proprietary Shape Control circuit for sculpting wicked custom tones, it’s statistically impossible to dial up a lame sound.

The matching FW412A/B speaker cabinet is designed for the next generation of rock players. These 4x12" cabs are available in slanted (FW412A) and straight (FW412B) models, and are guaranteed to produce gale-force movements of air. With 120 watts of power handling capability, the FW412A and FW412B operate in either stereo or mono at 4 or 8 ohms.

Check the drop-down menu to the right to select colors and/or other options.

Features:

The tonal range is impressive. It's loud enough to shake the neighbors walls. The castors make it very top heavy and easy to tip so be careful.

Quality:

seems to be very well built.

Value:

For the money that I paid for it, you could not find a better amp. Don't buy a combo, get this!

Overall:

Very happy with it. It is louder than my drummer, bassist, rhythme guitarist (who plays a Marshall) and our p.a. system put together. Sounds great with my Les Paul and with all of my accoustic guitars. Highly reccomended to any practicing musician.

I bought this amp at my local guitar store.      I got a heck of a deal on it.      Anyways, the half stack sounds great.      Clean is crystal clear and you get so many different dirty sounds out of it you will never get bored with it.      The digital effects rock.      I keep reading that people cannot turn their effects off and all that.      That is not true.      If they would read the manual before they played they might just be able to use the amp in the right way.      Effects stay on for each channel you use.      You simply just have to turn all of the effect nobs down to reset the effects.

I have had my half stack for almost a year now and zero trouble out of her.      Don't buy a combo get this.      Plenty loud and fills any bar just fine.      My buddies couldn't tell if it was tube or not which is a good thing.      The reverb, delay and other effects don't sound cheap like a Line 6 amp, they have a studio quality to them.      I am now a lifetime fan of Crate.
