If you need a bedroom amp or an off-stage amp, this is the amp for you. Plenty of effects and has great tone and sound to it. It's not too loud and the headphone jack is great. Not to mention 5 year waranty. BUY THIS AMP.
Well This is my first amp, and even if you plug a great guitar into it still isnt even good as a practice amp. When I first started playing I always wondered why doesnt it sound right, well now that im better and ive been playing a long time I figured out it wasnt me it was the amp. I found this out by playing a marshall, even a pocket marshall sounds better than this thing. I don't recommend it.
Great little bedroom amp due to huge sound but not over-powering volume.
this was my first electric amp and for the price it is not a bad amp. The clean channel does break up at higher volumes and the ditortion isn't great but it works. Don't be fooled by the 16 or however many effects it has... they aren't good. For a first amp or a nice practice amp this is fine but you will need to improve as you get better.
I own this amp's bigger brother, the gfx-30. I have also tried this amp in the shop and all i can say is crate amps are shocking. The trendy packaging cannot disguise the fact that the effects (if on your model) don't sound great. The clean channel sounds good until it is pushed and creates a noisy annoying sort of distortion to your tones (not a good kind of distortion). The overdrive channel on crate amps is poor at best, the channel is noisy and bassy. forget making sweet tones, all you will have is a flat tone that really doesn't sound very distorted, yet makes playing noisy. This product is not very cheap so i recommend you buy a peavey or a marshall.
