An amp for the tone and feel fanatic.
The Palomino V3212 is an enhanced single channel amplifier for the tone and feel fanatic. It operates in Class A configuration, and generates 30W RMS through two 12" Celestion speakers. The enhanced Class A circuit runs four EL84s at full output at all times to deliver instant response and rich harmonics which are the hallmark of these classic circuit designs.
The V3212 guitar amp has an internal footswitchable spring reverb unit to produce a huge, wet sound, and quite possibly may be the best sounding 30W class A tube amp on the market. Footswitchable boost, too. To complement it's unique sound, the Palomino guitar speaker also shakes off the standard black for a striking cream Tolex covering with gold trim. This is a lot of amp in a unit that still manages to be conveniently portable. Saddle up!

Great! Wonderful! Beautiful! 30-watts RMS? it drowns out my Fender 90-watt Deluxe easily, Great tone, Good Boost, Good Craftsmanship well made, about flawless, Very quiet No Hum No Hiss, Great Blues sound and Country Tones with a Telecaster, the footswitch is just what I need and does the job, Just wish it wasn't so big and heavy.. but the sound makes up for the size.Get it while its on Clearance!
Amazing, thats one word that comes to my mind everytime i play it, out of the box it sounds just great, the foot switch is useless as there is a delay between when you hit the overdrive button as to when it comes on, i have a overdrive pedal so i dont even use the fs.... other than that its a great sounding amp, crisp cleans and with my overdrive pedal it rocks, very very very very loud dont let that 30 watts deceive you, i play in a rock band and i havent yet had it past 10 o'clock on the dial... this is a must buy!!
This is a great Harp Amp. The settings, when overdriven, puts out a great tone for Harp playing. The response when playing a low key harp is fast.
This amp blew me away... I couldnt believe it. I had been trying out fender deville 2x12's for a while and I loved the clean but wasnt crazy about the distortion. This amp had equal clean tone as the fender but the distortion was beautiful- warm, crisp and wonderful. For only 30 watts, this amp is loud too. I can easily play with a drummer, bassist, and another guitarist. Would not recommend this amp for metal or hardcore, but it seems perfect for anything else.
I have played a crate TD50 (hybrid) for many years and recently bought a VOX AD50VT, which was a vast improvement. I have been looking for an affordable tube amp for many years, and when I saw this, I ordered it right away. The reviews I read were right. This amp has an incredible tone and tons of volume. It goes from crisp clear cleans to a really dirty overdrive. I don't even have to use my tube screamer to get this thing howling. Many have complained about scratchy pots, but mine were OK, although a knob was missing right out of the box. Small sacrifice for 30W of beautiful tube tone. Blows away the AD50VT, which I will probably sell! This is a steal!!!
Sound is real bluesy, heavy but worth the price. Just plan on changing all the pots at once so you can save trips to the repair shop.
I purchased this amp honestly not expecting much. I was actually gone to hold it for a couple of months than sell it. I thought their must be a reason they're clearing these out for this low of a price. Boy was I wrong. This amp is full of Creamy sweet CleansThe Good.Nothing but tube sounding bliss...and dang can this thing growl. The Cleans are Rediculously clean and warm. Beats the sound of my buddies Fender Deville by miles.Loud!..You won't need mic'd up with this baby.oh yeah,...Almost absolutely no hum..this baby is quiet! I've played Vox AC30's and seriously, they don't sound this good. The Bad, mine came with a scratchy reverb pot, the top knobs are kinda hard to eye what level you have them turned to so I plan on switching them out to chicken knobs....and the tubes are hard to get to for when you need to replace. But other than that this baby is definitely a phenominal amp for the rediculously low money I paid. You know the saying if it sounds to good to be true it probably is, that's not the case with this thing. One happy customer...and did I mention this was made by Crate. Never in a million years would I think I would be giving Crate a great review...Buy one before they're gone!
DO IT!!! This is my second one. These may be the best value in it's class ever. At this price it's an absolute steal! For the price of a generic solid state you are getting an awesome valve tone machine. I still can't believe how great it sounds and looks. A 45 day return policy and a a five year Crate warranty to boot. What a deal. Nothing else anywhere near this price even compares. I've been playing for over thirty years and this has the potential to become an absolute classic. I have an older Peavey classic 30 that I always thought was great and I've never considered a Crate product before but this thing has made a believer out of me. All the classic tones EL84's are known for are in there and with a little preamp tube customizing it can only get even better. I can't imagine what some custom speakers might do for it. Get one before they're gone! You won't be sorry.
After a long tube amp search, I have found the tone I?ve been looking for. I had a terrible experience with Crate amps back in the 80?s and had promised myself I would not go that way again. So this amp had to work extra hard to win me back to Crate. After owning every pedal know to man I had never found that tone I was looking for. The closest thing I had found was my Line 6 and an Expandora pedal. This was close but something was still missing. After trying practically every amp made I came to this Crate V3212. I said ?no way?. I plugged in and thought this must be some kind of a fluke, Crate doesn?t make amps with tone like this.. For two months I passed on this amp going back and trying it again and again. So after some research and asking around I bit the bullet and took it home. The amp has very crisp cleans and can get real gritty if you want. You?re not going to get heavy metal distortion out of it, but you can get real close. If you want blues tone this is it. When I got the amp home I went over it very closely. I did find some loose screws but that?s it. Footswitch and casters are included. The cream color gives it a real cool look. Don?t let the 30 Watts fool you this thing will rattle the windows? Enjoy.
I have been a crate skeptic since I bought the lower end solid state half stack about a year ago from crate and it didn't hold up as well to a marshall hybrid. I also bought but you get what you pay for sometimes. This amp however you get so much more than you expect. The celestion speakers sound amazing and this amp produces tone that I have been looking for. The clean is perfect and the OD is just right for my sound. And its LOUD. If you are looking for that amazing tube sound and dont want to drop your years salary on it get this amp and you won't be dissapointed. I have compared it to the peavey valve kings and classic 30's and the hot rod devilles and deluxes and this thing blew them away.
Stop thinking..Forget it's a Crate..Buy this or the 50 watt one. The sound and looks are Awesome!! I got mine 3 days ago. Theses will only get better as you upgrade the tubes when they need to be replaced. What a deal.
The V3212 30 watt 2x12" Celestion combo is awesome. Cream tolex with a 50's classic car vibe! Plug in and find a chimey clean channel. Hit the footswitch for a ballsy & warm overdrive. Hit the other switch for a boost for leads! Lush reverb with smooth decay! Get one while you can. A lot of amp for the money!
ok- I was skeptable- read the reviews but could not find one in any music store to try out. Bought it on blind faith. BEST amp I have ever owned, blows away my 80W Trayner and is louder than my Marshall 50W head. This is the best sounding amp I have ever played. If you play blues or classic rock you have will be impressed. Sounds great with P90 and single coil pickups- you don't need any pedals- just plug in for a slice of amp heaven.
For the asking price it doesnt get any better. Grat features at an insanely low price. Crate gets a bad rep, and in most cases deservingly so, they got it right with this model though. I'm not a fan of the looks, but I am a fan of it tone. For those saying the tubes are hard to change....your doin it WRONG! This is one of the easiest amps to retube, dont unscrew the bottom screws, just the top, and the amp flips over and out from the chassis presenting you with a clear unresticted top down acces. No poking around with flashlights and blindly trying to "feel" delicate tubes into the sockets. The only knock I have on the amp is astetics, cream and gold arent my thing, but eveything else is unbeliveable at this price. Your ears will be happy.
Just got mine three days ago. I still smile every time I walk into the living room and see it. It might be the nicest looking amplifier ever...and it sounds incredible. I'd been looking at boutique amps for a while, but none of them "did it" for me. And the price range seemed ridiculous. $2,800 for a 1x12" boutique amp? Why? Because of the nameplate? When I saw this amp here, I couldn't believe you could get this much amp for such a low price! It's an absolute steal!! I probably should buy another one just for the heck of it! It sounds incredible (better than my old pre-CBS Twin)...and it is extremely powerful! Put it past 1-2 on the volume, and your neighbors will be calling the cops! Remember that a tube 30-watts is the approximate equivalent of 100-watt solid state. If you don't buy one, you're crazy. It's worth at least $1,400...and sounds as good as any of the high-end boutique amps I've played. Mine's perfect. Quiet as can be. The labels are on the little brass plate on the back of the amp. You'll regret it if you don't get one. I'm sure they're almost gone, so don't wait. You won't be sorry I promise!
