First one Bad! Second one Good!

    By Anonymous

    from Undisclosed

I played one of these that a buddy of mine had.Liked it. Ordered it here. Got it. Plugged it in and it didn't work! BUMMER!!!!Sent it back and received the replacment in about 2 weeks. This second one works great!Built like a tank w/ a fairly big foot print, but looks cool, with simple contols and gives me the Chorus effect I need for my tunes.

    A great chorus pedal

    By Bill 'n Gracie

    from San Francisco

This is just a great chorus pedal. I has a really sweet sound. Acutally, a beautiful sound. I've played many others, and there is an artificial quality to most chorus pedals. Not this one. I wasn't expecting to be so satisfied with this pedal. I expected to try it and return it. The opposite has happened. I sold all my other chorus pedals. They just don't sound as good.

    Great basic chorus

    By BooDaddy

    from Alabama

As people have already stated, this is not a tweaker's pedal. What it is is a solid, well-built, and great sounding chorus pedal. Of course, it can be adjusted to taste. The beauty of this pedal is that it is not complicated. It has just enough of what you need to add some depth or texture to your sound without sounding too digital or cheap. A word to the wise: get the power supply or you will go broke buying batteries. If you need something simple yet elegant this is your pedal. I'm very pleased with mine and would replace it with another just like it if something happened to it.

    Fabulous sound!

    By MXR/ ModTone lover

I picked up this pedal used at GC. As soon as I got home I hooked it up. I was blown away by the high quality sound of this pedal. It sounds much better than any other chorus pedal I've ever heard. This thing is constructed very well and doesn't look like it's going to fall apart any time soon. The only concern I have for this pedal is its size. Its around 50% Bigger than your average boss pedal so take that into consideration if your planning to fit it on your pedal board. Over all it's the only chorus I'll use.

    Smooth

The Cool Cat is a very smooth sounding, well-mannered chorus. Stick a dummy plug in the stereo out, and it becomes a pitch vibrato effect. It's not the best, nor the worst, but it sounds nice, and it looks very cool.

    Warm

    By The Jester

    from West Virginia

This is a good chorus pedal. I've played many that just sound too... digital. Even analog stompboxes. The Cool Cat has a warm, full tone to it. It doesn't have a ton of features, but in I personally don't need my chorus pedal to do much more than this one does. The price is decent. When it comes to tone, it's great. If huge amounts of tweak-ability is what you're looking for, pass on this one. It's a great tone, period. And if you're not great at turning knobs, it's perfect for you as well, not much to mess with.Great tone, decent value, good pedal. Nuff said.

    Best Sounding Chorus

    By kash

    from MD

I've had this pedal for, probably almost 10 years and still use it for every gig and it still works like the day I got it. It's the smoothest and best sounding chorus I've ever used and I probably will never purchase a different one. It's simple to use (two knobs, speed and chill (depth)) and very reliable. The only thing that's bad about it is the fact that it eats batteries, and it's an 18V pedal, so it eats them two at a time! An AC adapter fixed that problem. Make sure you get one.

    Cool Cat

    By Mack Von Oberhiem

    from Barrie, ON

This is honestly one of the best cheap chorus pedals you can get. I used to have an old Boss CE-2 and when the A/B the two pedals this pedal had a much more richer sound over the thin sounding CE-2. Why spend more on so called analog chorus pedals when this one will give you the sound for a fraction of the price.

    Get The Adapter

    By Willie-7B4vc

    from Ontario

I absolutely love the sound of the pedal. It has a great warm chorus sound better than any I have ever owned. The only drawback to the unit is that it really does eat batteries. If I used batteries I would have to change both 9V batteries every single gig. There is an 18v adapter that you can get, get it! Most power supplies/pedal boards I have seen don't have an 18v supply.

I'll Have Some More Syrup On My Pancakes, Please

By Wish I Had A Tele

    from Mt. Gilead, OH

If you're looking for an icy, almost harsh-sounding chorus, look elsewhere. The Cool Cat oozes the warm, syrupy stuff. I see icy choruses (such as the DOD Ice Box) in "digital" terms, whereas this chorus pedal seems more "analog" to me. One feels almost sterile while the other is a gooey mess. There's two knobs: Speed and Chill (depth?). Doesn't get much simpler than that. They turn smoothly and are pretty firm, so there should be no worries about accidental bumps shifting your knob placement. The case construction is sturdy, but I wouldn't be jumping up and down on the switch--it's not a Carling, y'know! The switch as well as the jacks are plastic. If you care for your equipment you should have no problems with them. And I don't need to say what's already been said about this thing's battery consumption. This pedal is worth every cent you spend on it, as long as you know it's the type of chorus you want to include in your sound. Demo it and find out.
