I got it, tried it, thought, 'it's a joke toy echo', meant to return it, missed the deadline, felt bad about wasting the money, put it in a drawer for months. Took it out one day, wired it up, noticed that on low settings it added a nice subtle 'air flare' to the guitar- not a reverb or an echo, just a little something. Later, was unsatisfied with my reverbs and echoes, ie, the Damage Control Glass Nexus and others, all very hi-fi but never delightful, reverb/echo you hear but don't feel. Hooked this thing into the effects loop - vocals and acoustic guitar- instant arrival. That's it, the sound I wanted, just leave it on, tweak it sometimes but really, there it is, the cheapest pedal of all giving a hybrid reverb/echo sound that just sounds...perf. Thing was, I didn't suss it till I used it in context, live as a splash of space rounding out the vocals and guitar. Try it out of the box, doink, doink, you think, 'that's not a reverb, it's joke toy echo'. Like Dan's Flanger, echoes, BLT, the Corned Beef just does it right somehow. I think it's great. Hail, Danelectro!

I just play as a hobby, maybe occasionally a small concert, so i don't need a really high end pedal. I saw this and decided to give it a try. Not good. First, it's not a reverb pedal at all. It's more of a cheesy, featureless, bad sounding slapback delay. I'll be surprised if i ever find a song that this effect fits. There's a reason good reverb pedals cost as much as they do.

Affordable and Very Playable

By Tyrell Appleton

from Elk Point, Alberta

I was looking for a pedal for my soloing for sometime now and I came across this specific one. After reading many reviews, I decided to give it a try. And I've gotta say, it's not bad, not what I expected. Made from plastic, got me kinda thinking, but as soon as I plugged it in, I was stunned that is sounded good for a cheap pedal. It's has a nice, warm echo sound to it and it is worth checking out!

It does the job.

By Phat Man in Eureka

from Eureka, California

After reading such mixed reviews, I began to wonder if I made the right purchase. With skepicism, I plugged in into my polytone and strat and yes! It worked just fine with both controls at about 11. Because the reverb on my polytone is broken, all that was needed was a bit of depth, nothing fancy and nothing distracting from basically good amp/guitar tone. Worth the money but not worth the drama of such adament reviews. Exactly adequate for the job at hand.Enjoy!

Slapback Reverb

By Sratman

from Warren, MA

This pedal is amazing. I originaly bought this pedal for my vocals because I dont have PA system. But when I tryied my guitar with it I was amazed. It gave you that old bluesy tone. Very Buddy Guy or Eric Clapton. I recently bought the blues pedal kit i think i will take the BLT echo out and use that for my vocals and use this is the pedal board. This is a great old style reverb.

Delay not a Reverb

By Stratman34

from Mass

This is a great pedal it just is more of a delay not a reverb. I have the Holy Grail. I bought this to put for my vocals because I love the Holy Grail to much not to use on the guitar. This is great for vocal it really fattens up your sound.

More Like A Delay

By Timmy The Surf Drummer

from Pittsburgh,Pa.

I received this pedal not long ago and hooked it up to my practice amp. I expected spring-type reverb ,but this unit produced an effect more like a delay. Some of you may like it-try it and see. But if you are looking for a spring-type reverb sound, look elsewhere. It is inexpensive enough to make it worth a try, though.

Not what I Expected

By Timmy The Surf Drummer

from Pittsburgh,Pa.

It was advertised as a reverb pedal, but it is more like a delay effect. It worked well at that, but if you are looking for surf-type reverb, I would suggest an E-H Holy Grail or Boss product. It would be a decent low-cost delay effect, if that is what you like. It is worth a try for that. But it does NOT produce any reverb.

Simple, Warm Reverb

By Strat/SG Lover

from Reno, NV

This pedal does one thing. It gives you simple, warm reverb effect. It does not give you delay, spacey echo, or any other nonsense. Just straight forward reverb. My amp has no reverb so I just wanted the effect. This baby gets the job done. It's not flexible in terms of different kinds of reverb like Plate, Room, Hall, Spring, or anything like that. My guess is that it approximates the Fender Spring Reverb of old. The Mix knob lets you dial in how much and the Hi-cut knob lets you dictate the tone. I find it works best for me with both knobs at 11 o'clock. If you want reverb for a bargain price then this is the way to go. Simple, Warm Reverb.
