OVERVIEW

Danelectro's modern-vintage take on the mini amp.

From Danelectro, comes the Hodad II DH-2 mini amp. This sweet mini amp packs some serious punch, in a compact but powerful amplifier design. With a battery, you can take it on the road or plug in wherever and whenever inspiration strikes. It's housed in a cool aqua/cream mini cabinet, and featuring all the vintage looks you've become accustomed to from a leader in modern retro design and sound.

The Danelectro amp offers 1.5W with a power adaptor, and 1W with a battery. It features two ceramic 2" round speakers running in parallel, for surprising punch and definition, for such a compact amplifier. The controls are Tone, Gain, and Off-On / Volume. Weighing in at 1 lb., this portable amplifier can be taken anywhere. At home, on the road, or wherever you feel inspired, the Danelectro Hodad II mini amp is an outstanding amplifier with excellent sound for its small size.

This thing is small I have the honeytone and I figured at the price it would be about the size of two honeytones is not a lil' smaller. But this thing is small it doesn't have as nice tone as the honeytone (but, you can't expect too much from these types of amps). It looks nice on my cd rack had to glue it down to keep it from falling over when I plugged a cable into it. But it's fun and let's me practice late at night without headphones.

Having owned several Dan-O products, I thought this mocro amp would do the absolute minimum of delivering sound at a usable level for rehearsing with unamplified vocals. It turns out the level the amp delivers is just a tad above the acoustic level delivered by a strummed Strat. When I saw the pictures in the ads, I thought the amp was somewhat larger, but it's really too small - although very cute - in fact, it just does collapse under the weight of the jack!

Comments about Danelectro Hodad II DH-2 Mini Amp:

I collect mini amps. I don't care about their sound, durability or playability. This one is GREAT for my collection.

This little amp is so small... who knew you could get this kind of sound out of such a little thing... I love it. I run my guitar and my small Roland through it for practice when I don't want to set everything up .. or go to my studio... love it.

                NO 9v PS included, really?

Not much on distortion but got this for those times when I want to hear it, looks good as furniture on desk.

Louder than I thought it would be
