I'm admittedly not an experienced wah user. I like the effect so I've been trying diff ones. Morley? Didn't do what I needed. Ibanez Weeping Demon? Cool name, but didn't do what I wanted. I got this Dano Trip L Wah (part because I wanted an inexpensive wah, partially because I like Danelectro products). Very first try and with an inexperienced user guestimating settitngs, it did exactly what I was looking for.

This pedal has three different wah sounds, so it seems versatile, but it is actually not so. The bass wah doesn't change it's sound for most of the sweep, and when it does it changes very quickly. The middle wah is better, since it has a little more sweep and a little less "dead" area than the bass wah. The treble wah is the 'best' of them. It has a decent sweep and an alright sound, maybe. Thankfully, the treble wah is the one that is activated with the pedal, making it the only one good for any practical use (the other two are activated by small, hard-to-hit buttons above the pedal, which are all but impossible to use with any reliability). Speaking of which, THIS PEDAL IS NOT GOOD FOR LIVE USE!! The pedals design extremely limits it's versatility for anything other than just playing around with it. The treble is the only one that can be used live/recorded/anything because it's activated by the pedal, but even that one is difficult to press and is easy to accidentaly not press hard enough. Luckily, I only bought this for messing around. Don't buy this if you want a versatile live pedal. The construction is sturdy enough. And I expect this pedal to last a while. The animal skin paint looks alright, and it's certainly distinctive, so no one will mistake your pedal for theirs again. I wish there was a plain colored one though, that maybe could be a little cheaper. The sound quality is also lacking. It often feels like some of the high end of the wah is missing, like it should go farther than it does. The sweep is kind of slow on the ends and fast in the middle, too.Overall, I'm disappointed in this pedal for the price I paid (of which, I'm sure half is for the fancy paint job). I was expecting more. Luckily I only want it for messing around. If you're looking to use a wah pedal often during live shows or on recordings, DON'T buy this one, save up and get a better one.

I have read the reviews this pedal has gotten & all I can say is for those that were unnhappy with it must have junk amps. This little pedal is great. I'm playing with a Fender strat thru a Fender blues deluxe amp and the tripl wah sounds great. Depending on the sound you want, this pedal got it. I like the mid on overdrive and the bass on clean. still playing with the treble. I liked it better than my Bad Horsie from Morley.

The Truth About This Wah

By lespaulbro1

from Undisclosed

I bought this pedal just to see if i could find an unknown master tone out of it and funny thing was the first step i took on it, it broke. Cheap plastic toy is best discription for this wah. I soon fixed it but once i started to use it i couldnt bare the annoying fuzz that came along with it. overall bad wah, avoid buying!

      Disappointing

      By Anonymous

I was disappointed with this pedal. First was when I took it out of the box and saw the pedal was made of plastic. As far as the sound goes, it was very thin and hollow sounding. The treble wah was shrill and distorted. The mid and bass wahs were better, but still thin and hollow sounding. The only two I would use would be the mid and bass, but the buttons were so difficult to press it would be useless in a live environment. This was my first Danelectro purchase and I must say I will certainly think twice before buying something else from them.

Forget the CryBaby give me the Triple L

      By fenderbender1967

The triple L is a great wah pedal,I use it in conjuction with the digitech RP50 and get great results. The only downside would be the treble wah;which seemed to be less dynamic.Besides that,it is a very functional product.

      Don'y Buy It

This is the worst guitar effects pedal I have ever owned. As soon as you switch to one the three available wahs it makes a terrible scratchy sound. Dunlop makes amazing products, but the best thing you can do with this pedal is take it outside and shoot it.

My friend let me borrow this pedal from him so that i would have something to practice on. As soon as i turned it on it had great sound.I wasn't too crazy about the limited sweep but it sounds great!

      Don't be ignorant...

      By Alex-Mkjj-

I bought this pedal in trust of the danelectro name. I've had a couple of friends who owned danelectro pedals and they ensured me that this was a good buy for a wah. So I did, and two weeks into owning it, it has failed me. Every feature now makes this weird wabble sound. It hasn't worked right since then. If you plan on buying a wah, please take this advice and go with something better, cause you will regret buying this.

      buy it

I bought the trip l wah about seven years ago. there are three wah settings, only one of which I truly used-- but it was a gorgeous wah sound that I haven't been able to find anywhere else.. sadly the construction leaves a lot to be desired.. the pedal broke a while back. but the price of the wah versus the time I got out of it with its very excellent and unique sound makes it a must buy. seriously.
