This fantastic pedal is on CLEARANCE people. That means you had best secure yours NOW. I have had mine two weeks and I have found tone heaven. I love the EQ settings and the thickness and richness of the OD is so dang satisfying it's hard to put my guitar down. Keeping it simple, I am using my new Keen Green Danelectro 59 into my Wasabi Overdrive before a Dano FAB Chorus and into my amp and WHAZAM! Killer tone! This thing is SOLID too. It's no mini pedal. It's made of metal and like 2lbs I'm guessing! It's going to last a long long time. Dano is just too underpriced for what they offer. It blows my mind every time I plug in. Can you say, "Boutique?" Fellow musicians, you want thick, meaty OD? Don't let this slip by. It's not a metal pedal, it's overdrive. If you rock, you will have a use for these tones. May the best man/woman get the last one. I already have mine. Good luck.

The different eqs sound very alike they amount of sustain just changes a little bit except for number 2. It wasn't versatile enough to meet my needs. It was a litte bit too heavy for classic rock, but I couldn't get it nearly heavy enough for when I wanted to play metal. I think the wasabi distortion is a much better choice.

    Excellent

    By Will-51f-E

First of all, it's rock-solid. I doubt it would break if I threw it out the window. It's a big pedal though, much larger than your average pedal...As for it's sound, it has great variety-very use-able for driving amps in general. It has a warm tube-like overdrive when driven on clean sounds. Plus, it's dirt cheap! Don't miss out on the distortion either-far better than some cheap boss distortion/overdrive pedals that cost the same.

    Get one while you can!

This unit actually emulates POWER TUBE overdrive well. Other units which claim to sound like power tube breakup sounds more like preamp gain, which isn't as responsive or rich as power tube overdrive. The Wasabi OD has a very nice crunch over the clean channel, and the boost is nice for boosting your tube amp's gain (sounds bad with solid state). Sadly, the overdrive which this pedal provides is slightly buzzy (like most overdrives). But, it's a transistor overdrive, and there has to be a little bit of buzz. Overall... This pedal is best into a clean amp, you'd be better off getting a tubescreamer for a boost. Excellent pedal, but by no means perfect.

    Big Pedal

Ok, It's HUGE, consider yourself warned. I love the sounds on the 2nd EQ preset, very old school, you can almost get some "telephone" sounds out of it. The rest of the settings are great, I don't like the pickup selector thing but the boost is super handy and the sounds thing makes are awesome. I got it when it was on sale so I bought 2 lol. WARNING: it doesn't like 90 degree (right angle) patch cables, they don't go in all the way due to the design, so be careful, I plugged my pedalboards in and the signal was cutting out, traced it to this...

This has got to be THE best value on a truly AMAZING overdrive pedal of all time! I don't know what planet the other reviewers are from, save one. If you are needing/wanting an overdrive pedal then this is a NO BRAINER.The harmonics and subtle overtones to an experienced ear are beautiful to behold.

    sweet

    By ziggy stardust-pPZgH

This is a great pedal. I like the 4 preset voices for it and the extra boost. The 5db is PLENTY the 10db will knock your socks off! First off this pedal is huge! In the picture on here I pictured it to be small. But its like two boss pedals wide and about half the length of my crybaby wah. The buttons are small and hard to push with your feet..although I haven't tried it with shoes yet, just socks haha. Seems sturdy. Haven't gotten a chance to gig with it yet though. The boost is very helpful and it produces a good punchy overdrive tone. I would not pay $100 for this... I got it was only on sale. So you might want to pay full price because the boost is a great feature and so are the voices, but if you want cheaper the danelectro fab over drive will work also. But this pedal is great and I like having it in my arsenal.

    Pretty Cool...

I've got one of these, and I must say, it is fairly good. I use this along with my Digitech Grunge, and get an awesome metal tone. By itself you kan do some killer blues and classic rock. I don't think that it is worth a hundred bux though. It is still retty good.

    Wasabi Rocks

    By Greymire

This is a very nice overdrive. It has tons of features including 4 eq settings, tone control, gain etc. It also has a 3 or 10 db boost via stomp button for solos and such (selectable back panel). With a little playing, I was able to get sound very similar to my Keeley mod pedals. The only thing I did not care for was the switch for selecting single coil or humbucker. Luckily this has a center off pedal as well, because I thought it really colored the tone on my LP with it on. This is a super overdrive. Price wise, it is a bit high, but it is close to boutique quality.
