Nice, basic chorus that enhances your sound without taking too much away from it. Adds a nice classic shimmer and modulation. Nice hefty metal case with tool-less battery access, exhibiting respectable quality. This is an 'average'unit; better than many, but lacking in the overall sound quality of the more spendy pedals. Not a true-bypass effect, it does suck a little of your tone when not engaged, but not too badly. It is a little noisy in operation, adding a little hiss that varies in conjunction with the 'Rate' setting. Quiet enough for practice or stage use. The pulsating blue LED is a little distracting; I would prefer just a simple on-off indicator. I find this chorus to perform as I expected and hoped, and find it to be particularly effective when actually using the stereo chorus IN STEREO. Note: This device performs much better and is far quieter in operation with a fresh battery or AC adapter.

I bought this because I had been using a digitech multi voice chorus on my blues rig, but I wasn't getting the shimmer that I wanted from it. I just happened to be at a music store with a buddy and checked one of these out. I thought is sounded ok in the store - deff better than my digitech - but when I got it home, I was blown away. I put this on my pedal board along with my deltalab delay, boss guitar compressor/sustainer, GFS fat tube and my Carl Martin red repeat - I plugged in my Heritage S-20 and turned on my Crate V18 and WOW! I was intoxicated by the clarity and the excitement that it gave my tone. I couldn't stop playing through it, I loved everything I was hearing coming out of my amp. I plan to get another one so I can set it up to be more like a Leslie vibrato. Way cool piece for any working musician's pedal array.
nice, clean shimmering tone, felxible settings
metal case, heavy duty vaccuum switch
alll the way around - affordable, flexible and effective

This is a warm, mild chorus. I think it sounds great. In fact I loudly jammed Message In A Bottle for about an hour after I got it. I power it with a onespot and I get no noises or hissing. It does indeed appear to have true bypass, as I lose some highend unless I put a buffered pedal out in front (using a Morley wah for that, working great). With the wah out in front, it feels extremely transparent when off. Great small size, great price. If this lasts, I'll be very happy.

Delta Lab Stereo chorus

By Uproar Rocks

I bought this for my "B" rig pedalboard trying to save a few bucks. A decent bargain priced chorus. I like the flashing blue rate light. Makes it easy to get rate set where you want it without even playing your ax. Good Leslie like vibrato with all knobs maxed for that spacey tone. I lost a bit of Low end out of my rig when this is hooked up. And it definitely raises your noise floor a little higher than normal when in use even when powered with a voodoo labs pedal power unit. Good pedal for the money though...Good on acoustics also...UproarRocks!

nice try, Deltalab, but ultimately not a good pedal

I'd go for the slightly cheaper Rogue pedal here on Musician's Friend in this case. I just think it sounds better, and it hasn't broken on me yet. Boss and EH are certaintly good options as well for chorus. The MXR micro chorus is also attractive in this price range.
average amount of features for a chorus pedal
Sound quality is "OK" but not on par with slightly more expensive units like the Small Clone. I'd go for the Rogue chorus, even. It's just a little cheesy sounding. The real dealbreaker is the footswitch..I had heard rumors, but now I've seen it myself, the switch went bad in my barely used chorus. I tried to replace it and the pedal died a valiant death under my tools. These are NOT easy to work on, and replacing the footswitch is going to be an onerous task, unless perhaps you have a fancy desoldering tool like a Hakko, which I don't. The reason is everything is PCB mounted, and the silver bearing RoHS compliant solder requires very high heat to work with
not too "nice for the price"

For the price, you can't beat it.

It has all the features you need, but it's still simple. That's a plus for me. I don't like difficult to dial in effects.Everything is pcb mounted, and the battery cover won't stay on (right out of the box). Those are quality issues, but you have to expect it in this price range. Doesn't hurt the playability. The price is great on these. I wasn't really expecting to see a 3205/3102 analog bbd/clock chip set in these, but it's there. No trimmers, but it sounds good so no need. Their r and d was pretty good on this.Has a little hiss or white noise. That's to be expected in an analog pedal. It's listed as true bypass. It's Fet switched if it is. The switch is dpdt. That's cool. It sounds right when it's off.Well worth the money. I wanted a chorus that sounded as good as my Ibanez CS9, but didn't have the intermittent switching problems that all the Ibanez pedals have. I found it. Buy it.

Just What I Was Looking For

By bcwarlock

I was looking for a chorus pedal that was subtle enough as to not get in my way. I own a Line 6 75w Spider III amp, and the chorus was great for the obnoxious Zakk Wylde sounds but couldn't do the subtle Alex Lifeson and Jerry Cantrell type chorus. This pedal is exactly what I was looking for (and can even do a Black Hole Sun type leslie effect). It sounds much better than a lot of the other pedals (ie EH small clone, Boss chorus, etc.) and it is very affordable. True bypass is also an amazing feature. Everything about this pedal is great, from the light that flashes the rate, to the easy controls. This chorus adds a new dimension to my tele and makes my Washburn's VCC knob an amazing tool! Lastly, this goes great with my Boss super overdrive and Deltalab Rock Distortion. I'm extremely impressed with Delta lab. If you are considering this pedal, GO FOR IT!!!

Good Deal!

Not just "good for the money" ... that's a given. but very good sound and very quiet. Works well in FX loop or before amp. I am impressed. Finally an alternative to higher priced pedals. I like it!

What I Was Looking For

By Bumbo

from Chicago

I was looking for something cheap and simple to add a little bit of character to my sound. I've recently started adding to my setup a number of pedals I've acquired over the years and I needed something to add a subtle shimmer without breaking the bank. This was it. Solid construction, simple use, perfect for what I wanted. The flashing light was a surprise to me, but it's useful in that you can time the effect without having to play. Good buy, I'll try Deltalab again in the future.

Great Buy!

This pedal is simply a great buy. I think it is just as good as most pedals that are double the price. It is also very durable, mine seems to be built like a tank. Great sounds and easy to adjust and use. I use it often and couldn't be more pleased with this pedal.
