OVERVIEW

A modern interpretation of the classic effect designed specifically for our 4- and 5-string friends.

The next generation Bass Whammy uses the most advanced pitch detection and polyphonic note-tracking technology to create the world's best pitch-shifting effect pedal optimized for bass. The Bass Whammy maintains the classic settings from the original with many modern upgrades. With two different tracking modes, Classic and Chord, the Bass Whammy gives players the ability to recreate the shift glitch effects from the original or get the smooth pitch-shift effect. Chord mode uses advanced polyphonic tracking algorithms for a more exact and smooth pitch shift effect while Classic maintains the tracking artifacts of the original Whammy. The Bass Whammy is true bypass, MIDI controllable, and uses a 9V DC power supply to easily integrate into your existing pedal board.

Comments about DigiTech Bass Whammy Effects Pedal:

I own the original and this exceeds my expectations. I'm A little disappointed that digitech eliiminated the gain dial from the original model as it does drop your signal down a little. I also miss the push button selection, but this thing is way more sturdy. I love that they retained all the original settings and added a few more. Tracking is significantly improved over the original. 9 volt input is a welcome change. :D.

Comments about DigiTech Bass Whammy Effects Pedal:

Very good bass pedal for the price. Nice tracking a lot of intervals and harmony options and sub lows and chours adds more sounds. The classic and chord switch is a nice feature also the chord mode gives you a smooth tracking and clear sound. if your looking for a bass harmony pedal try this one out.

Comments about DigiTech Bass Whammy Effects Pedal:

I've had my eye on this pedal for the past 11 years. I finally got it and I can say without a doubt that it delivers. Being able to spend hours on messing with a pedal isn't abnormal, especially when you're trying to dial in your sound. But this experience was enjoyable the entire way through. I can find a use for about 90% of the settings and then I can have fun with another 9. Dropping it down as low as it will go just kind of makes your sound stop. Yeah, it goes low and is cool to mess around with, but it's not highly practical. Depends on what you want it for. The action on the pedal is smooth. I feel like I have complete control the entire time. No problems with damages yet and I've been able to mess with the knob to change the setting on the fly. I built this pedal up in my head and it definitely came through.

Comments about DigiTech Bass Whammy Effects Pedal:

I treat my gear good, this has been on a pedal train and kept in the flight case it's whole life. Exactly 1 month out of warranty the LED's flaked out while trying to re-calibrate. Digitech support was nice, but they refused to fix it, instead referring me to a local company that can "repair" at my cost. They charge 80 an hour plus parts. At that rate, I'd be better off buying a new one... Here I come EHX Pitchfork. This will be the last product I buy from Digitech.
