Makes switching your sounds on stage easy so you can focus more on playing rather than switching on and off pedals. Built to last. Quality controller.
Works with the Digitech GSP1101. Easy to read HUD stating the preset your using or if you have the tuner turned on it shows the pitch and note being played. Has a separate effect pedal port for volumes and wahs.
This thing is built like a rock. Solid metal construction that I don't see breaking anytime soon. Crowd spilt beer on it, still works like a charm.
Comments about DigiTech Control2 Foot Controller:
You only need ONE CABLE to connect this to your GSP. That's what sold me on this. A single CAT 5 cable provides both power and control information. That means you don't need to worry about spare power cables, or the inherent noise problems of running power, signal and control cables next to each other. There are NO extra cables and the CAT 5 cable is robust, reliable, lightweight and skinny enough to pack away neatly. DEAL!About the GSP 1101...Although many of the GSP patches sound great, I don't use it for that. I use it only for effects because I prefer an all analog front-end. I get my basic tone from a Carl Martin plexitone or the Sansamp PSA1.1. I mention this just to let you know that if you don't like digital preamps ( because they usually suck) but need the versatility and convenience of digital effects, you CAN still use the GSP 1101 with this foot-control. The effects in the GSP are fine, especially the reverbs, which are world-class Lexicon quality.ALSO...the Control 2 WILL send midi CC messages from the GSP to other midi capable devices. In my case, that includes a TC G-major, the Sansamp PSA, and a few peculiar pedals. The design of this control pedal is the most logical and convenient I have seen. Although it is large, it is as small as it can be while being so versatile and easy-to-use. It can be operated in two modes, which allows you to change between patches within banks, or between banks, depending on your needs.I use the dedicated foot-switches (upper-row) that are clearly labeled for effects. Then I use the bottom-row for the five basic tones I usually need. On those peculiar "trick" songs where I need several special sounds for dramatic tone or effect changes, I'll use the other mode to instantly change not only effects, but also external preamp and controller data. This pedal does all that easily and set-ups take only seconds. Entire songs can be programmed hands-free and stored instantly. Although I rarely need it, I bought an extra continuous controller to use as a dedicated volume pedal. For those who want both a wah and a volume, this is a crucial bonus feature of the GSP when combined with this controller. The whole thing is so easy to set up, you won't even need the manual.Of course, part of that ease is the intuitive design of the GSP, but this foot-controller makes it super FAST and EASY. It literally took me about five seconds to figure it out. I like that a lot!The manual for this is the clearest, most concise manual for any controller I have ever read... and I've read dozens. However, as I pointed out for basic functions, you do not even need to read the manual if you use it with the GSP 1101. You just plug it in, and it works. For that feature alone, it is worth the dough.

I'm so glad I bought this for my GSP 1101. It's built like a tank and it's BIG. My size 12 fits between the switches easy, no more stepping on the wrong switch! If you don't have a midi controller for your 1101 try this one out you won't be sorry. Compare it's price to similiar items and you'll see it's well worth the money to.
