overall, this thing is great. i have nothing to complain about. if i could add one thing, i would give it the capability to make banks, so then i don't have to change the settings half way through a set if i wanted something different. but for the price, i didn't really expect that it would have banks.
the digiverb has 7 different kinds of reverb, which all sound pretty nice. i really like the sound of the room and church reverb. then it also has: a decay setting to adjust how long you want the reverb to last, an eq to adjust the tone of it, and also a level to adjust how much of the original signal you get, and how much of the reverb you get---this right here is awesome because sometimes you might want more or less of your reverb, and it really comes in handy---one thing i do with it is i turn the level all of the way up so i get none of my original signal, and it makes my volume swells sound pretty sweet. also it has a stereo output, which is really nice to have. also when i'm soloing it helps my guitar pierce through the other instruments so it can be heard instead of drowned out by everything else.

compared to other reverbs i've seen, i definitely would choose this one over the others.
the pedal is made of nice material. i've had it for only a few months, but it doesn't seem like i'm going to be having any problems with it.
for the price you get this thing, it is very good. most reverbs will only have one reverb and won't have a level, and you get the digiverb for the price of an average pedal. i would probably pay up to twice as much as it's worth for it.

To be honest I've had this effect for 2 1/2 years and it did what it was intended to do. It sounded ok if somewhat fake. But it's been a pain in the rear for all 2 1/2 years. It drains the batteries at an insane rate, it's near impossible to change the battery, and after said 2 1/2 years it died. I would strongly suggest avoiding this unit.

Comments about DigiTech DigiVerb Digital Reverb Pedal:

I looked all over the place for a versatile reverb pedal that was in my price range. It really took me some time to find the DigiVerb, because nobody advertises the DigiTech pedals as much as the Boss and TC Electronicas and MXR brands. My review of this nice box will not get the secret out any way. DigiTech has a full range of single function pedals including lots of overdrive and distortion units, which I don't own. (I do own a Jam Man express XT.) Maybe they are geared more to the Millennium generation guitar players (seems like), but this Boomer gen dude appreciates a nice effects pedal that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

I like the Room, Hall, and Plate settings the best. That is a combination that I discovered in my research was hard to find in one pedal. I leave one or the other ON all the time at a low LEVEL setting unless I am using my Vox AC 15 amp's rich spring reverb. The DigiVerb also has Church and Spring reverb which swirl around forever (according to the DECAY setting) if you want.

The last two modes, Gated type and a Reverse reverb mode, are like Digitech's versions of 'shimmer verb'.

This unit is well made; you can feel the heft. I have to say in all honesty that there is one weakness and that is where the rocking pedal hinges on the pivot pins. The metal is thin, and if it ever breaks there, you are done.

This is a true bypass pedal with no inherent noise either on or off. With the 7 modes and LEVEL and DECAY settings, you can get any reverb feeling you want. Personally, I leave LEVEL way down most of the time.

Yes, and the paint color is more of a green than a blue, slightly metalflaked, very similar to a 1970 Chevy pickup I once knew. So I like it.

Now go ahead and buy this pedal, and save some money, and have lots of reverb fun.

Great reverb box for the money... Does nice range of reverb, and even has a "surf" setting. Made me do "Pipeline" right away. Pretty cool...

Has 4 knobs for many settings such as room and church. DigiVerb can get the same sound for a lot less money than others.

          Great Reverb

Comments about DigiTech DigiVerb Digital Reverb Pedal:

This will be to the point. There are endless settings. If you can't find something you like then you can't be satisfied. I have the Boss '63 Fender Reverb pedal and the DigiVerb can get the same sound for a lot less. Plus almost any other Reverb sound you want. After I set the DigiVerb to my favorite surf sound I switched it off and turned on my '63 Reverb pedal to compare and the sound was almost identical. Actually better. I was inspired to play some "Walk Don't Run" and nailed it, then on to "Pipeline".....and that was just the "Spring" setting. There is a lot to play around with, tons of settings to play with..If I had bought this before I purchased the Boss pedal...oh well, the Boss will make an alright backup.

          Beautiful Reverb Sounds

          By Cody Newberger

Comments about DigiTech DigiVerb Digital Reverb Pedal:

This pedal is great. I bought it last week and have played alone and with my band and this pedal is perfect if you want that Good Ole' 60's/70's reverb sound. I would reccomend this for anyone who is using a head with a very weak reverb. I have a new Fender head that lacks this quality, that is why I purchased this item. It very versitile and optional. Buy this pedal if you want reverb, you will not be dissapointed.www.myspace.com/psychedelickoolaid

          decent pedal, use sparingly.

Comments about DigiTech DigiVerb Digital Reverb Pedal:

First off, I play surf guitar, so I need copious amounts of reverb. I play a strat and a jazzmaster and epiphone dot through a vox da10 and a bugera v55. I always saturate my reverb on my amps, but I want reverb that has some depth and color to it, so I bought this pedal to add some "color" to my tone. The spring setting sounds like absolute garbage. I leave it on "church" and keep the settings at noon. Tweaking the level and decay settings does change its tonallity considerably. A great pedal, I wouldn't use it by itself, but is a great addition to any pedalboard. Just don't crank it, keep it mellow and it adds nice color. Definitely deserves a test drive if you're interested. With a little tweaking it will give you some nice tones. Does have some volume/tone suck when turned off, not a true bypass pedal. I leave it on so it doesn't bother me.

          Lots of Pros and Cons

          By Zero the Hero

          from Salem, OR

Comments about DigiTech DigiVerb Digital Reverb Pedal:

Since I perform with Fender tube amps, which have the greatest sounding reverb of all time, I never thought I would buy a reverb pedal. However, for home practicing I bought into the fad for little 5-watt tube amps, which of course have no reverb, so I picked up the Digiverb. For home use this thing works fine. Some settings are better than others. "Room" sounds very realistic, and the "Hall" setting is also very musical at lower settings. The "Church" setting is pretty cavernous but it sounds really beautiful. Shoegazers, goths, and others into ambient sounds would love this setting since it is quite lovely. Somebody will find the reverse reverb settings useful but they are not my cup of tea.The settings that sound horribly fake and digital are the "Plate" setting, and the horrible "Spring" simulation which is over-the-top stupid. Then again, if you want great spring reverb get a Fender amp; there is no substitute. In all, the Digiverb is a mixed bag tonally but is a great value for the money. I would say it is better than the overpriced Boss pedal but soncially not as good as the Marshall Reflector, which is the most natural digital reverb without going for a $300 boutique job. However the Digiverb is a worthy pedal. It is not junk as some others have said, and using strats and teles I have never had a problem with muddy sounds. In fact, I think the pedal has good clarity even layered with a distortion and chorus pedal. If you are recording or plan on gigging a lot with a reverb pedal than get the Marshall. But if you just need something to give your reverb-less amp some ambience, or if your amp's reverb is no good than the Digiverb is just fine.

          DigiVerb

Comments about DigiTech DigiVerb Digital Reverb Pedal:

Well yeah it drains batteries fast but who cares? get a power plug for it, all digital effects do so that, I bought mine used for half the price and I would buy it again for the new price without a second thought, I also have a DigiDelay that is really nice too. I highly recommend this pedal for anyone that is not happy with their stock reverb or for a amp that does not have reverb, it has 7 differnt reverbs which is more than enough unless your VerbCarzy or something, simple to use and heavey duty, never had a issue with anything from Digitech, I run this thru my Vox AC15 tube amp and it sounds great, never cared for the Vox reverb, even replaced the tank. It's nice to run a cord to a 2nd amp too, wow now your talkin some space. For the price it is hard to beat, overall nice unit, happy customer
