Don't let the name Digitech fool you. This is a very warm analog sounding pedal. I use this for so many songs that it never gets old.
Many different chorus possibilities with this pedal from warbly George Harrison/Beatles lead guitar to early 1980s King Crimson full studio chorus sounds. Unlike other chorus pedals, which will only have two to three knobs/settings, this pedal is really versatile.
Built like it can survive a drop from a building. This pedal has been tripped on, flipped over, trampled on and it still goes on strong.
The sound quality is very suprisingly warm. I was in the market for a chorus pedal and found this. It beat out all of the others that I tried.
Not too expensive and very high quality.

I have 3 tube amps(EVH 5150III, Fender Supersonic, Champ 600) and high quality cable set... I won't have noisy pedals in my chain. It's a nice chorus because of the many voices but it adds noise even in bypass! Not good, It was really noticeable when I put it in the chain. "True Bypass" ??? - I think that's the marketing guys talking, not the engineers. It's going back. I think I'm just going to pony up and buy a Red Witch.

one of the best chorus pedals i've ever used
Comments about DigiTech HardWire Series CR-7 Stereo Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:
Given the cost and what it represents perhaps i was expecting too much. Stad alone in a practice room it is a nice low cost chorus pedal but I don't think it is suitable for band play
It has a wide variety of chorus options but they sound too digitized to my esar. That isn't too much ofan issue as you can always find the tone that suits, however i played at rehearsal with it last night for the first time and the chorus effect when kicked in sucked my sound away. I couldn't hesar mysefl over the other instruments which wasn't a problem when it wasn't on. I shall keep experimenting to see if that is something I can fix before I try some other chrous pedal
Solid build, looks ok, should take reasonable use withut a problem
Comments about DigiTech HardWire Series CR-7 Stereo Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:
No other stand-alone pedal can match the features, construction, and quality of the Digitech Hardwire line of pedals.
The multiple selection of chorus types sets the bar at a high level. The ultra quiet true bypass feature of the Digitech Hardwire line pedals is a must-have on any pedal, especially if used between the guitar and amp rather than in the effects loop.
No other pedals come close the quality of the Digitech Hardwire line of pedals. My favorite pedals of all time were the non-defunct USA-made DOD pedals made in Sandy Park, Utah. Although the Digitech Hardwire pedals are made in China, the engineering design is out of Sandy Park, Utah. Same smooth micro-switch action as the USA-made DOD pedals versus the cumbersome and noisy "click-click" of the push-push switch on most other brand pedals. Machined billet aluminum control knobs versus cheap plastic knobs found on other brands. Same built like a tank cast body as the USA-made DOD pedals. The construction quality is second to none.
Best pedal on the market for the money. Definitely not cheap, but well worth the expense if you are in the market for a quality product.
Comments about DigiTech HardWire Series CR-7 Stereo Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:
I like a slow elegant chorus...understated and smooth...thats what you can get here...as well as other effects...I like it.. Have been through many, many chorus pedals....this one just about does it. A little trebly, but that can be EQ'd elswhere in the chain; and chorus is often go weird treble and bass issues. All in all this may be the one I keep, not perfect...but what is??
Nicely built
a bit pricey, i got mine used, so it was less so...if you got the $$ for it, i would pull the trigger

Comments about DigiTech HardWire Series CR-7 Stereo Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:
This is a pretty good pedal and is worth the coin if you can pick one up on sale. It's a bit bass heavy and thick sounding, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. A couple settings sound more like a flanger than a chorus, but that's not bad either: all of the settings are pretty good and offer their own distinct tone. Being digital, it's not as sweet sounding as say an MXR but it does sound pretty good regardless. A solid box.

i recently bought this pedal at guitar center. this thing has manny differnt modes and sounds great. i use it on modern, sounds great with my compression. i use this with my clean channel and also for sweeping. Overall, this pedal has the chorus sound your looking for.

Comments about DigiTech HardWire Series CR-7 Stereo Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:
I played this pedal in Guitar Center awhile back and i tell ya fellow guitarist if your looking for a chorus pedal look no further. This pedal offers great control of your sound and a chorus of any desire i myself play mainly metal, but i do progressive stuff on the side and this chorus is definately on my wishlist. Great quality on all the options. Multi and Studio was amoung my favorite and the true bypass is a plus to. Comes with a stomplock so you dont knock your settings out live and has a glow in the dark stick to increase the visibility on stage. Also stereo output is a plus. Must have for anyone looking at buying a chorus pedal you'll never need to upgrade. I recommend power supply tho. I'm a big DigiTech fan own 5 DigiTech pedals now this one will make 6, but they all eat batteries like crazy. So get that power supply and add this to your board with no regrets.
Comments about DigiTech HardWire Series CR-7 Stereo Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:
I bought the chorus to add texture to my single channel 100w tube head through a full stack. Before buying I read about the features of Digitech Hardwire series stomp pedals. Its all true. The true bypass is helpfull. I think you can find about any type of Chorus you can imagine in it. I went and bought the Metal Distortion, and the Stereo Reverb and my Effects are dialed in exacly how I want to sound. I think they are the best made stomp box on the market. They are very tough. You get a Stomplock with it and if you kick your box hard it will not mess up the settings that you made. I use the glow in the dark pad that came with them. If the lighting goes dim or your just in a crazy light show you can still see them glowing in the dark. The downside to this pedal is that I recommend also buying the PS200-R power supply because the battery life to the stereo chorus is 4 or 5 hours and it is a battery vampire! Killer sounds though, yours is in there.
