One strum is all it takes to get in tune.

Plucking sucks. Every single string you pluck on stage to tune between songs kills the vibe, driving a dagger through the heart of your show. The momentum of everything you've built up to since stepping on stage crumbles all around you as the crowds' excitement dies.

The HT-6 Polyphonic Tuner takes you from tuning to tuned, faster by showing you the status of each individual string after one strum. With the HardWire HT-6, one strum and you are on to do what you came to, play.

HardWire Pedals include the following stage accessories:

Pedal Switch Glow Sticker helps you locate the pedal in adverse stage lighting

  • Custom-cut Hook and Loop Pedalboard Pad to attach and lock your pedals to your pedalboard

Comments about DigiTech Hardwire Series HT-6 Polyphonic Pedal Tuner:

This tuner from Hardwire/DigiTech is top notch, and rivals the TC Electronic Polytune. The technology used and display on the HT-6 resembles that of the Polytune. You can strum and tune all 6 strings at once (using multiple tunings) or tune one single string at a time as normal tuners function. The only con is it's larger footprint COMPARED to the Polytune Mini. However, this pedal can actually power another pedal if desired (or needed). For example, I power the HT-6 from 1 of my 8 isolated outputs on the Voodoo Pedal Power 2+ and then run a separate power cable from the HT-6 to a low mA pedal (such as a loop switcher or A/B).
There are many LEDs and multiple tunings available. True ByPass as well.
    I definitely recommend!

Comments about DigiTech Hardwire Series HT-6 Polyphonic Pedal Tuner:

I had never considered buying a pedal tuner until I was recently introduced to the Digitech Hardwire series. The tuner was the first of the series I tried. Needless to say, I was pleased enough that I quickly purchased the Hardwire Delay/Looper and Hardwire Chorus pedals. The polyphonic tuner has the ability to check your guitar's tuning with a simple strum. I had to get used to the display at first, but once I did, I fell in love with this device. Because it's one of the Hardwire pedals it is just built to take abuse. It's sturdy and appears to be solidly built. I will keep one for as long as I play guitar.

I do not write reviews, but feel compelled to make a comment.

This is the best tuner I have ever used. It tracks quickly and more accurately than ANY other poly tuner hands down. And yes , I've used a bunch of them. If you are picky about your tuning, and need a poly, just get this one and be done with it. That is all.

Comments about DigiTech Hardwire Series HT-6 Polyphonic Pedal Tuner:

I'll start by making sure you know the purpose of a polyphonic tuner, as I've seen it used incorrectly to a fault:

The best purpose of a tuner's polyphonic tuning mode is in between songs, or for a quick spot-check of tuning. During a gig, I will just give it a quick strum and let the polyphonic mode let me know if there are any glaring mistakes, which the HT-6 does correctly and accurately. If something sounds awry during a song, I'll do a quick-click of it (I use the mute mode, not the thru-mode), and a quick strum check to see if something is obviously out of whack.

What the polyphonic mode ISN'T intended to do is for tuning before a gig or when you have time. The reason being is that the accuracy of polyphonic tuning is not as accurate as the single-string tuning mode. No polyphonic tuner is. I can have polyphonic mode tell me I'm right on, but single string tuning could have me half a cent flat or sharp, but poly doesn't notice. This is intended. You won't notice close inaccuracies in performances and it gets you close to in tune on the go. If you find a string is way off, the easiest way to get it back is to single string tune it.

I love the detection mode in this tuner. It gives you full display tuning of a single string if you just play a single string.

Very intuitive, very accurate, and if you know what a polyphonic tuner is intended to be used for, it can save you a bad sounding song or two! :) (ask me how I know)

Comments about DigiTech Hardwire Series HT-6 Polyphonic Pedal Tuner:

I've only had this tuner a few weeks now but it is built solid, easy to use both in the poly and single string mode. Not sure how well it will do in sunlight but it may be fine.

They include a battery AND a piece of velcro for attaching to the pedal board which is a nice touch.

Comments about DigiTech Hardwire Series HT-6 Polyphonic Pedal Tuner:

I've bought 3 units, not because a failure or something but because when I first bought mine, we realiced how great this tuner is!. Our vocalist saw it and fell in love with it, so we ordered his unit, and months later our bass player also liked it so he ordered one too. Now, the three of us use this tuner in each one's pedalboard. We do not want anythng else, since this pedal resulted to be amazing!

I personally have tried many other tuners, and no other was this efficient, i mean, you can play all your strings and get a pretty accurate (almost perfect) overall tunning, perfect for checking little tunning details between songs, or in little pauses while playing. AND if you want to be more sure about your notes, you can easily tune string by string.

Here's how we use it, FIRST: when you finish a song, you just press the pedal, play all strings in one strum, and you can see how the led lights tell you, in a very easy and friendly way (WAY BETTER THAN POLYTUNE), if you are in tune. NEXT, tune the strings you needs; you'll note that when you just play one string, you will see only one led, and qhen you play all strings, you'll see all leds, each one for each string.

          IT'S AMAZING!

Comments about DigiTech Hardwire Series HT-6 Polyphonic Pedal Tuner:

After checking out many other top brandname pedal tuners, I settled on this one because of it's obvious differences from the "other guys". Which is the fact they ALL tune ONE string at a time chromatically.

The HT-6 can accurately, inventively and interestingly tune ALL six strings at ONE time.

Completely mutes signal when in use, and does not suck volume.

I couldn't recommend this any more, fantastic tuner.

If you get tired of strumming them all to tune, it also does traditional chromatic tuning one string at a time, so you get the features from the other guys, plus the awesome Polyphonic feature all in one box for the price of just the one featured "other guy".

Comments about DigiTech Hardwire Series HT-6 Polyphonic Pedal Tuner:

Reading the display took a little getting used to, and it still feels awkward to stand on stage and strum all my strings while tuning (I play acoustic guitar and people can hear it) but this thing really does work as advertised. It tracks quickly and accurately either when strumming all strings or a single string.

The display changes depending on how many strings you strum, so you can instantly switch between polyphonic and monophonic tuning if you want to. This has been helpful while adjusting to the new tuning style.

For a while I thought it wasn't reading my low E string, then I realized it was in drop D mode. This might be because I bought an open box unit and the previous buyer had left it like that. Once I changed to standard mode it worked perfectly.

Best tuner pedal out there for the money. This thing is accurate and saves so much time tuning between sets. I prefer to tune once but we all know that never really works out. Thanks to hardwire and digitech I don't have to go through each string, cutting down that awkward time where the singer has to pretend to be a people person haha. Two thumbs up!

Way better than the TC polytuner. The TC gets a little confusing having to switch between vertical and horizontal views when tuning single vs poly. It's easier to understand and more accurate in my opinion. It's as intuitive as reading tab. Plus the build on this thing is SOLID. Tank. I love my HT-6 and I've owned a lot of tuners. The capo/drop tune function is awesome which means I can capo up or tune to E flat or lower and set the tuner to follow my guitar's tuning. Amazing. Don't know how they do it but I'm glad they do.
