World-class Lexicon reverbs and innovative features.

The DigiTech RV-7 is a reverb pedal with innovative features like Liveliness Control. Add world-class Lexicon reverbs like room, plate, reverse, spring, modulated, gated, and hall, and this HardWire Series DigiTech pedal is in a class all its own.

The DigiTech HardWire pedal series represents DigiTech's commitment to quality and attention to subtle details. In addition to technical enhancements like true bypass and high-voltage operation, all DigiTech HardWire effects pedals feature rugged, all-metal construction, a wide, stage-stable footprint, durable, custom-machined metal knobs for a sure grip, and precision potentiometers that guarantee knob positions will stay intact.

The rugged, durable construction of DigiTech Extreme Performance pedals is just the beginning. Inside each HardWire pedal are technological features that serious players require—all updated and improved to their utmost capacity. True bypass preserves the purity of your original tone as signal passes through the pedal, and high-voltage operation further protects your sound by eliminating clipping and other signal degradation caused by power drain.

With the high-output pickups found on some electric guitars, it's not unusual to hear clipping when playing through an effects pedal. This occurs when the voltage range produced by a guitar's pickup is greater than the operating voltage of the effects pedal—normally limited to the voltage supplied by the effect's battery or power supply. DigiTech HardWire pedals incorporate circuitry that increases the operating voltage headroom above that of the typical effects pedal. As such, DigiTech HardWire pedals benefit a wider range of guitars and are also at home in an amplifier's effects loop.

HardWire Pedals include the following stage accessories:
Stomplock™ knob guard locks your tone in place and prevent tampering or accidental knob adjustments onstage
Pedal Switch Glow Sticker helps you locate the pedal in adverse stage lighting
Custom-cut Hook and Loop Pedalboard Pad to attach and lock your pedals to your pedalboard

This unit has your basic reverb & advanced sounds as well.

Quality:

The unit made in a solid metal box. Nice.

Value:

Better than average value.

Overall:

I have high expectations from all of my gear. I tried many different reverb pedals and this was the most versatile & best sounding. In general I find the Hardwire series pedals to be high quality and good sounding, rugged work horses.

Killer Spring Emulation!!!

Overall:
I bough this pedal because I really liked the spring reverb emulation. Sure it's got all kinds of cool halls and modulated and reverse reverbs (Reverse is a pretty cool toy), but when it comes down to it, if you mount this to a pedalboard, you're only going to use one setting. (stomplock device ROCKS for this BTW!!!) For me I like spring reverbs and have been disappointed with newer amps running digital reverbs that sound like $#!*. So I went to my local shop and was able to demo the RV-7 in the FX loop of a Fender Hot Rod Deville. Basically I did an A/B comparison of the built-in reverb tank vs. the pedal. I actually managed to get the pedal to sound just like the real reverb on the amp!! This thing sounds just as lively and drippy and wet as a real accutronics reverb tank. I was blown away! So I bought it right then and there (no offense to Musician's Friend). I got it home and installed the included velcro pad (You DO have to REMOVE THE RUBBER PAD FIRST!!) and stuck it to my board. I think it is awesome the Hardwire (or is it digitech???) thought to include these accessories for the gigging musician. It also comes with a glow-in-the-dark sticker for the face of the stomp switch (if you've ever played gigs where it gets dark between songs you'll appreciate this, trust me!) Bottom line = great sounding pedal, top notch reverbs. Excellent Spring Reverb Emulation. Excellent Buy.

I picked up this pedal used for 110 at guitar center on the day i had a show...i had sold my dd7 to get a nova repeater BUT apparently no one around columbus sells em, gotta order them..  So i've been wanting a nice reverb pedal for quite some time, i always missed having good reverb when i played live but the reverb on almost every amp i've played gets lost in the mix OR it makes your tone muddy for recording. So i played this pedal at GC thru a DRRi and a PRS semi-hollow and i was in heaven!  I only use the Hall reverb to get a super spacey room filling sound and it works perfectly live as well.  I play a fender strat thru a fender deville 212 and they mic'd the amp at the show.  Even with it mic'd it filled the whole venue spacious wonder.  Overall, i suggest you play it but after you do, youll probably buy it.  And the guy at GC told me about the pedal having actual Lexicon reverb in it and that sold me even more on it.  Lots of options with this pedal, wont get lost in the mix, sounds superb!   Happy camper right here.

hardwire RV-7 for bass also

I saw a video on youtube that mentioned the hardwire series was designed so the hottest guitar pickups would work with their pedals so I thought they might work well with bass. Reverb works well with bass especially for soloing high on the neck on the D, G, and high C strings where the tone tends to fall a bit. I decided to check it out at a local music store and loved it. Not only are the reverb sounds great but the modulated reverb setting made my old chorus pedal into a paperwieght. Great unit. I highly recommend it for any bassist who plays high solos for jazz or also to thicken up a piccolo bass.

When I tried out this digitech hardwire RV-7 I was amazed and knew I had to have it. It sounds so awesome! It's not over-the-top or fake sounding. It sounds like a reverb tank in a vintage amp...at least it does with my Orange Rocker 30. I am so pleased with it and so stoked that such an awesome reverb sound can be had for such a great price. It also produces NO noise. It is seriously flawless and I can't stop playing with it! If you need reverb I would recommend this one!
