Effects Pedal

| Review By: Justin Nichols | 2 weeks, 5 days ago

1 people out of 1 found this review helpful

Features:

It has a great vast of effects to choose from. If you can't find the right sound then you aren't trying hard enough or don't know how to use the pedal. It has great customization, and is easy to use. Just about any sound is possible using this pedal. I like how the buttons do not make loud clicking noises when you use them. The expression pedal's movement is just right; not too hard, yet not too soft. The looper is really fun to mess around with. The built in tuner is a great thing to have and works great. It has two outputs with I havent really gotten the chance to use but it seems like it would be good. The ability to change the sound output to be safe for an amp or mixer is great. Sound people love that because it wont mess up their boards. The pedal has great features.

Quality:

When you hold it you can tell it's constructed from sturdy materials, not because it's heavy but because it feels solid. The knobs don't fall apart after a little usage, nor does any other part. I'm only giving it a 9 because I've only had it for about 5 months or so, though I have used it A LOT in that time period, but I havent had it quite long enough for a great test in my opinion. But I think it will last.

Value:

Compared to other pedals with the same capability, it's is DIRT CHEAP.

Overall:

I am worship leader in the band I'm in, and I sing and play acoustic and electric. For what I do the pedal is AMAZING!! I probably wouldn't suggest it for someone who is constantly changing effects, such as a lead guitarist, because of there only being two buttons, but if you only use about 3 or so effects in one song then its great.

With me playing both acoustic and electric I had to find a pedal that sounded great with both instruments, which was a challenge, but this one is great. It has a plethora of effects for electric and what makes me extremely happy about the pedal is that it has an AWESOME sounding acoustic setting. The factory setting is great, but with just a few tweaks then you can take a cheaper guitar and make it sound like a Taylor or Martin(such is my case).

If you are looking for a great pedal for an even better price then this is definitely the one!! Unless you just want to look all big and bad or you are someone that uses several effects in one song then I wouldn't suggest wasting money on a bigger pedal. I've had lots of people come up to me and ask several questions about my pedal and say they wish they had it. This pedal is great!!

Features:

Well I was do for a new pedal, and by reading the reviews and listning to samples on youtube sounded pretty good. Well I received it and it was like Christmas for me all over again, was a little confused at first but after reading the manual and doing a little twicking around actually it is simple to operate. Sunds good, feels right good peadal for the price....

Quality:

Well construction seems to be sturdy, expression pedal seems to work fine, the overall quality of this pedal is very well built and the sound quality is great. There was thought when they created this pedal....

Value:

149.99 ??? is a know brainer

Overall:

Well havn't got the opportunity to test the water only had it for a few weeks but I have faith in this pedal I did have a Zoom 505II but this blows it a way, the only dislike I have is the UPS delivered it to wrong place so they had to resend it... but rather then that I like this pedal.

Buyers Beware

Features:

This was my first guitar pedal and my second effects machine. I am still blown away by its features, and I am very satisfied with it. Limitless possiblilities, forms to my needs.

Quality:

The quality couls be worse, but not a very durable pedal. I was very good with it, but the pedal (actual pedal) just stopped working: no more wah or volume change. Everything else still works great.

Value:

Rather expensive, but my dollars were well spent until it broke.

Overall:

A good starters pedal, EXELLENT effects machine, but not very durable, and don't ever depend on the actual pedal mechanism, as it is very likely to break.

RP 255 Rocks

| Review By: Tony Ocello | 5 months, 3 weeks ago

4 people out of 4 found this review helpful

Features:

So here's a my review. I've been playing on and off proffessionally for 27 years.

This thing has every single feature you will ever need to get everything from melodic metal distortions,to shimmering glassy cleans. I found out setting it up into the clean channel of my peavey transtube 2x12 what I liked eq wise was the mixer/amp switch should always be set to mixer!!! Then you'll need to crank your bottom end on your amp and on the unit becareful with the mids ands highs on the 255's eq section because they're hotter then blazes. I would recomend for guitar using the twin reverb it's a very accurate repesentation of an old spring twin reverb. Getting clean and dirty patches balanced out after you write them will require somewhat of a learning curve, but all these units do. For the price the only reason I'm not giving Digitech a 10 on this one is the things so sweet I think they shoud have put it in a sheet meatal case.

tonyo.

Quality:

Sheet metal case please.

Value:

This is all you'll need live and in the studio.Read the manual ignore the naysayers.

Overall:

Like I said before it's such a good unit it needs the old sheetmetal case.
