I borrowed this from a good friend. Planned to use it on 3 songs during a 3 hour set. The night before, I changed the battery to a new Duracel to insure that I wouldn't lose power - the battery connection pad broke, so I had to solder it back. I never really use any pedals with the exception of a Radial Bassbone, so I am no expert, clean bass is the best bass. Even with the new battery in the box, it went dead after using it one time. And of course, it died in the middle of a song, luckily I had good PA support but it did suck out a lot of tone. As far as sound goes, it does the job; you can dial in a few different usable sounds. Bass notes will not pick up very well and are not very usable. Will bring the life out of some of your chords that may get lost in a mix, or a delicate part that needs to be a little more presence. All in all, you get what you pay for, and buy the AC adapter to prevent tone suck-age... I would give the boss pedal a try also, they make good stuff...

Comments about DigiTech XBC Bass Multi Chorus Pedal:
This is a great bass pedal, I have no complaints about its workability or sound. I would appreciate it if the pedal came with its own power adapter, as batteries do not last long, and I had to purchase one anyway.
Comments about DigiTech XBC Bass Multi Chorus Pedal:
This is the best single effect chorus pedal I could find, and if memory serves me right the least expensive. There needs to be some more low end response for those use a low B string, but some distortion or wah wah can really help with that.
Great features, gives you a lot of control over the effect. Takes 9 volts, and battery replacement is easy.
The effect is good and clear, but it doesn't come through as much on the lower notes (low B string). The about of voices you can get is awesome. This pedal sounds great with dstortion if you want to cut through, but can hang back if you use it by itself and turn the voices down.
Even though its harder to distinguish if your playing note lower than open A the effect is still there, the low end gets more effect than a lot of other chorus pedals I looked at. The value is one of the best things about this product.
Comments about DigiTech XBC Bass Multi Chorus Pedal:
The effect of this pedal is great for filling in space during quieter parts of music. Not to mention when your playing in a room with small amounts of light it adds a great feel to the music. Turn all the knobs up, you it sounds out of tune. otherwise this is a great pedal
Comments about DigiTech XBC Bass Multi Chorus Pedal:
I'd buy something else.
The multi voice option is very cool, it gives you more control over the sound and can boost the effect when needed. The pedal sings on the high notes but low notes get about 10% of the effect.
Well built, doesn't feel cheap or anything. The problem is, this thing burns through batteries very fast. This wouldn't be a problem normally, but the unit I got was defective. The 9 volt output was broken. Oh well.
Not impressed.
Comments about DigiTech XBC Bass Multi Chorus Pedal:
I'm not a big into effects as far as my bass is concerned, but this pedal has a good tone and is pretty quiet. However....a brand new alkaline 9 volt does NOT last long!! Starting a 3 set gig without first changing to a new battery would be risky. I would STRONGLY urge buying the AC adapter!

Just purchased this unit to use on a dean active bass going to an acoustic bass amp. Does everything it claims to do and does it well. Happy with my purchase and expect to buy other digitech pedals to try out
Comments about DigiTech XBC Bass Multi Chorus Pedal:
This little pedal is a must have I would say. Just that interesting sound that it produces is a great thing to have on hand and this pedal does it perfectly. The options of different voices are endless and it really gives that expert modulated tone that a lot of us seek after. Don't look any further and buy this. Especially if you have a fretless because at a low level it just ads to the sound. I LOVE DIGITECH!
Comments about DigiTech XBC Bass Multi Chorus Pedal:
I used this pedal at the local store, and I was pleasantly surprised with it. I then used it in conjuncton with Digitech's Bass Squeeze, and I was very impressed with the results. I found that I liked it around the middle (8 voice chorus). When used with high end compression, it simply sings.
Comments about DigiTech XBC Bass Multi Chorus Pedal:
I've had this pedal for about six months and I think it is one of the best chours pedals on the market. Aside from its over sensitive controls it provides a crisp chours and adds so much more to the bass sound I use it in most of the stuff my band plays and they enjoy it just as much as I do. I highly recommend this pedal to any bass player it's a must have.
