I bought this switch because I added a TC Telecon VocalLive GTX pedal to my pedal board and needed to route the signal from both my Taylor 510 and my SG through this that pedal to get the harmony to work right. I added the 270 to switch between guitars.

The best things about this pedal is that it is quiet, is built really solid and needs no power. I have used A/B switches in the past that are noisy, or cheaply made and didn't last. This one is all steel and has a beefy foot switch. Don't they realize that foot pedals sit on the floor and we step on them? I only bought this pedal two weeks ago, but burned it in on the re-configured pedal board for 48 hours straight then rehearsed with it for about 8 hours, (primarily to get used to the VocalLive) and played it at four gigs, about 12 hours during the last week. I used it last Friday and Saturday night and will use it this coming Wednesday and Friday nights.
It dosen't have a light indicating which output you are using but this is not a problem because
I always strum a chord or bust a riff after I switch guitars before we start the next song just to make sure the guitar settings are right anyway.

The switch stopped working after 6 months of perfect working order right in the middle of a set and I had to stop playing reach down and unplug it and plug it in by hand. It was kind of upsetting.

This is a great tool if you want to change instruments quickly during a performance! No power needed, quiet during switching and isolates the other instrument. What else needs to be said. Try it you'll like it!

My Voice Live 3 only has a single input. I wanted to connect my digital piano and acoustic guitar to the Voice Live 3 so I could switch between the two instruments quickly. This pedal did the trick, with no deterioration in sound quality. Excellent.

Comments about DOD VAC270 A/B Box:

I've only rated this 4 stars because I've only had the chance to use it a handful of times so far...

I picked it up because I need to be able to switch quickly and easily between an acoustic (to the PA) and an electric (to an amp), while using my same pedal setup for both. So far this has worked perfectly.

It's more basically like a mute for one channel at a time; when one is selected, the other is off, obviously. I haven't noticed any major differences between the two "channels" in terms of signal, and my favorite part is that it doesn't have any require a battery/power source (and therefore no LED lights or anything).

A/B boxes can be tricky in walking the line of being useful but still unobtrusive. I think for my purposes this is perfect. Absolutely minimal and practical, which is exactly what I wanted.

It works and splits my instrument between two amps, so there's no volume adjustment and I keep on jamming, not missing a lick.

I am quite pleased with this box. I was looking for something to switch between 2 guitars to a single amplifier. I also wanted one that did not require external power.
Minimal features - just the inputs and the switch.
                  Seems solid and well built.
It isn't cheap but this cost a lot less money than other devices that have indicators.

Comments about DOD VAC270 A/B Box:

Compared to other a/b switch pedals (e.g., Behringer, Boss, etc.) out there, this is arguably the best product on the market. Channel A does have a stronger tone than channel B. That however can easily be corrected using a generic mixer, volume control, or booster. Other downsides: no fancy LEDs. Upsides: no batteries, and it works as advertised, that is for the most part. Rock on left-handed bros.

There's not much to say about an A/B switch box that works. No major loss of volume or note.No loud popping noises upon switching. No bleeding of signal. One problem: ground loop leads to really bad humming noises in both amps. I'm currently trying to find a solution. If none, the switch is going back to the store (even though it's not really its fault).
