Tame those transients!
Sticking with the medical motif of their pedal line, here is Ashdown's Aspirin Compressor for bass. Made to keep things tight for those of us who like control over the attack of our tones, this pedal uses a simple 3-pot configuration, the Aspirin thins the blood, so to speak making sure the flow of the SPL is consistent whilst engaged.
Using the Input to drive the amount of signal, the pedal automatically processes the compression after you set the ratio. A simple output pot then allows you to set the level of signal coming from the pedal to your amp.
• Input - Adjust input gain level
• Ratio - This dictates how much the volume is reduced versus how far above the threshold the signal is
• Output - Adjust output gain level

Comments about Dr. Green The Aspirin Compressor Guitar Effects Pedal:
First compression I've had, it sounds great, is easy to use. Used with a one spot dunlop wah and boss digital delay produced no noise unless all the dials are cranked and even then it was barley noticeable, when on it's own 9v supply it was perfectly quiet. It seemed like this pedal was discontinued, if you can pick it up for significantly less than msrp don't hesitate, it is worth paying full. It's a great simple first compression pedal.
