I bought this amp when i first started playing bass. i had no moeny and this was all i could afford i have had it for about a year now still works jsut as good as new. its definately not for playing in a band if you wanna play with a guitarist that has a 60w amp your barely going to be heard but if its just you jamming, for me it satisfied my loudness meter. it does have some high pitched buzzing but once you start to play it can't even be heard. the eq on this is very decent u can't get thousands of different tons but enough to get close enough to wat you need. overall if your a beginner not sure abouyt abss or just need a cheap amp this amp is definately worth its money

I've had this amp for about three months now. It is a good value for $40, but I would recommend saving up a few extra dollars to get a slightly more expensive amp instead of this one. After about 2 months of playing, the amp suddenly had a short in it. It will go out often, and I have to bang on it a little to get it to work again. Needless to say, I don't use it much anymore. It is a sufficient amp for home playing and practicing, but nothing else. The volume cannot go very loud without it sounding terrible and doing nothing but vibrating the unit. Overall, I would pass this one over. If you are very short on cash, though, this might work for you.

Great Practice Amp

By Chain Lizard

from McMinnville, OR

If you are looking for an affordable practice amp for around the house, this will do the job. Has a bit of a buzz at higher volumes, but when kept at 5 or lower the sound isn't have half bad (nothing to right home about either). Nice compact size makes it easy to carry around to other rooms. Don't fool yourself, this is a "practice amp."

This amp really doesn't cut it. It isn't that loud, and it buzzes and crackles way too much. Definitely save up for something better.

a nice lil combo...

I have never really used Drive equipment, and wasn't sure of the sound capabilities or quality at first, but it's my first amp, so I'm not complaining, this amp has turned out to have a good sound, and just right for my needs. I encourage that new bassists, or even older bassists that need a new practice amp buy this product. and the price was right, too.

Practice amp for...well...practice

By KaptainKarl

This little amp is good for first starting out, and for practice. Ive had it for about a year, after 4 months of hard play (until I got a half stack) it started buzzing a little. Now it buzzes so much its like having a distortion pedal hooked up to it. However, for 40 bucks, if youre looking for a little amp to get started on, or not sure if bass is for you but wanna give it a try, its great. Both of my basses have active electronics, and that seemed to make a difference in sound quality, because when I tried an inexpensive passive bass it actually sounded better than my nice actives. Nice PRACTICE amp.

Super Value Practice Amp

By Joe L.-DCsNC

from Honesdale, PA

This is one well made little amp. Not for gigging but just great around the house to learn your songs and keep your chops up. The headphone jack is also a great option so you don't annoy your housemates. Sensational value at 40 bucks. Highly recommended.

Great little amp

By A Dude-FLuyR

from Sewell, NJ

I got this as my first amp because i was on a budget. I just wanted anything to play on. This little dude was way more then i expected. It rattles a bit when u turn it up all the way but what do u expect. I play with my cousins and i can keep up with their 30watts jsut fine (as long they dont go above 5).I love the little guy.

Good amp, Great price!

By Travis Grungemaster

from Palm Bay, FL

I got this combo about 2 weeks ago, and was impressed with what I got for having paid nearly nothing. The small 6 1/2 inch speaker puts out amazing, ear-numbing depth. The only flaws I've noticed are a bit of natural distortion above 1/2 volume (which I don't mind) and lack of change in the equilization controls, which I also dont mind.

This is a great practice amp. I bought it because it was the cheapest and it has not blown out on me even though I use it for long periods on maximum volume.
