I bought this amp when i first started playing bass. i had no moeny and this was all i could afford i have had it for about a year now still works jsut as good as new. its definately not for playing in a band if you wanna play with a guitarist that has a 60w amp your barely going to be heard but if its just you jamming, for me it satisfied my loudness meter. it does have some high pitched buzzing but once you start to play it can't even be heard. the eq on this is very decent u can't get thousands of different tons but enough to get close enough to wat you need. overall if your a beginner not sure abouyt abss or just need a cheap amp this amp is definately worth its money

I've had this amp for about three months now. It is a good value for $40, but I would recommend saving up a few extra dollars to get a slightly more expensive amp instead of this one. After about 2 months of playing, the amp suddenly had a short in it. It will go out often, and I have to bang on it a little to get it to work again. Needless to say, I don't use it much anymore. It is a sufficient amp for home playing and practicing, but nothing else. The volume cannot go very loud without it sounding terrible and doing nothing but vibrating the unit. Overall, I would pass this one over. If you are very short on cash, though, this might work for you.

wow

This amp really doesn't cut it. It isn't that loud, and it buzzes and crackles way too much. Definitely save up for something better.

Does its job pretty well.

I'm extremely pleased. I have owned this amp for about two years and it's great for at home practice. It definitely has served its purpose very well and continues to do so. It's loud enough to shake the walls. Sure when you turn it up all the way it crackles and sounds horrible, but for practice volumes it's crystal clear. I'm even considering buying another one for a different room in my house.. that's what a great value it is. Well worth the money, go for it.

Okay amp

By Jesus-VO3pg

I got this amp with the rouge combo it was great at first. It could barley make it through my bands practice. Our last practice I blew the speaker so I put one from a car in it. Now it sounds even better. If you have a 6.5" car speaker I suggest putting it in it. It sounds great

This is a bass amp?

By Dan the Man-qYav0

I can't believe they let people make and sell this crappy amp. I borrowed this from a friend who got it with a rogue bass amp package, and this amp's really not all that great. The only real strong point is that it's really cheap, but that's about it. I can't play my Peavey bass through the thing without the speaker sounding like it's going to bust because it crackles every time you play a string on your bass. It's not half that bad for beginners I guess, but if you want something that's going to hold up longer than a few years, get a Fender bass amp.

Good 4 starters

By Basspaul4

I just learned to play the bass and I?m in a band with some of my best friends and while it's not the best 4 bands it's still really good the only reason why it's not perfect 4 bands is that it's hard to hear with drums and the guitar but I really recommend it for a beginner.

Really Good

By lolbears

I bought this amp of a friend, but even used its really good, and he used it non stop and so do I. We normally have the volume up all the way and it hasn't messed up yet. I find that for such a small amp it works really well with guitar and mics as well. It will give you deeper sound on your guitar and gives very little feedback. I think its a great amp and amazing for a starter.

pick for penny

For the price you can't beat this convenient amp. Has an annoying buzz when you are over 50% but for starter bassists w/ close quarter neighbors this is the choice to make.

good buy

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

I bought this amp a little over a year ago and i have had no problems with it. I would recomend this for practicing and traveling, but it will not compete with ANYTHING. If your getting this to play in a band- don't. Your drummer WILL BLOW YOU AWAY, but for practice, it's a good buy. One last comment, this amp needs more tone controll, I end up doing most of that with my bass itself.

Practice amp for...well...practice

By KaptainKarl

from Hutchinson Kansas

This little amp is good for first starting out, and for practice. Ive had it for about a year, after 4 months of hard play (until I got a half stack) it started buzzing a little. Now it buzzes so much its like having a distortion pedal hooked up to it. However, for 40 bucks, if youre looking for a little amp to get started on, or not sure if bass is for you but wanna give it a try, its great. Both of my basses have active electronics, and that seemed to make a difference in sound quality, because when I tried an inexpensive passive bass it actually sounded better than my nice actives. Nice PRACTICE amp.
