This is a good basic amp for the money which is all I expected. All the features work well except for the headphone. I have to turn the volume up to maximum just to achieve minimal level. I contacted MF and they said that my headphones probably don't work well on the bass's low frequency notes, but this seems like BS because my headphones amplify the bass well enough when I'm listening to recordings. The amp is solid and well made and I'm glad I went with a practice amp with at least a 10" speaker. Overall volume doesn't seem like 30W, but its high enough for practicing in the basement, though definitely not for a gig (maybe Holiday Inn lounge). If you don't care about low headphone volume this is a good buy, and it probably is anyway. I'm happy, but my less than 10 score is totally due to the headphone issue.

I've owned this amp for about 2 years or so, and I liked it for practice and stuff such as that. however this is NOT a gigging amp what so ever. You cannot get a very loud sound from this at all and it gets a horrible muddy sound when turned up over half-way. It's a good starter amp but if ur lookin for a giggin amp then i suggest you look elsewhere.

This Drive CD 300B 30W Bass Combo is great for practice, thats about it. No buzzes or anything of the sort when im using my zoom multi-effects. It has ok features, it could use quite a few things, but the simplicity of it is alright. It sounds pretty good for its price. A good value. Its built like a tank!!! i dropped it probably four feet and the wood of the cab broke on the one side, but i beat it back together, and put a couple screws in it to fix it, and it STILL WORKS GREAT. Like i stated, its generally a good amp, good if you want an ok amp that will last you, and i recommend it absolutely, but i personally wouldnt buy it again.
I purchased this amp about a year ago and have been very pleased with it. I have had no problems with it and it is a very reliable. This amp is perfect for practicing at home or in a small studio but if you plan on playing with a group of guys you need to step up to something more powerful. It is what it is. A home practice amp that will give you many hours of practicing pleasures without draining your wallet $$$. What more could you want for the price. Go get one...you won't be disappointed.
I bought one of these used from a local store. I got it because it made my handmade archtop sound like a handmade archtop. Most of the top-of-the-line modeling amps can't even do that! After a year with it at college, I'm really glad I got it. It has been through a lot of travel, including many bus rides out in the cold and it hasn't let me down. It makes my guitar sound fantastic and has more than enough power to hang with any big band. It also sounds great with upright bass pickups. My professor keeps telling me he wants to buy it off me because it makes his upright sound really nice. Something about this amp brings out the acoustic quality of instruments. If you're looking for something to help you hang with a big band or swing in a combo, I'd recommend this amp for guitar and bass.
I got this amp about six months ago and I have been very happy with it. I have to admit though that the speaker has not gotten much of a workout as I live in an apartment building and I play mostly through my headphones. Nonetheless, the sound is very clear and as loud as I want. I play the Rogue VB-100 through it. Of course the price of this amplifier is really a tremendous plus. For so little cash this little fellow is all that I could ask for. I would certainly recommend this amp to anyone who is looking for a small, inexpensive amp to practise with.
i just recently bought this amp. It's good but it starts to buzz right away. It got annoying! It's good for the price though.
This amp is great for starting out and practicing by yourself. Basically, it's cheap and it makes sound. And it's surprisingly well-built and will last for many years of practice. What more could you possibly ask for in this price range?
This amp makes random buzzing sounds on the fifth fret of my E, and now at any loud volume buzzes when I play. This is not a quiet buzz, but a loud, quite persistant one. I have had this amp for only one month. With a previous amp I had no problems. I was not pleased with the product.
good value overall. great for beginners who need an amp to jam out with friends or a quick practice before a show.
I just bought this amp today from my local music store. It rocks! It has a really deep sound. The volume is incredible! I turned it up all the way and I could feel the pounding of the subwoofer throughout the room. I give this amp an A+++++++ rating. It's a little heavy, but I'm not sure how heavy other 10" amps are because my last amp had one 8" driver. I decided to buy a new one because my old amp was terrible and I'm glad I did. If you buy this amp, you will get your money's worth.
This amp has great tone, and nice volume controls. I've had it for 2 years and it has stood up pretty good against all of the use. This is a good amp for beginners and i highly recommend it for the value. The price is amazing and can't be beat.
