got this amp as a practice amp and, to my suprise, was delighted at its sound. great clean channel I can use as a base to color my sound with various effects. The gain channel is not conventially what most guitar players would rave over, but it gives a interesting, almost unique, lead sound that, when mixed with a compressor, sings sweeter than almost anything I have ever heard (think Trey Anastasio sustain, but more). I am seriously debating making it a full time gig amp. However, as a stand-alone amp it will not give the sound most people are looking for. Also it is very noisy, a problem I still have not been able to get around. It might be your diamond in the rough, only you can decide.

This amp is the worst i have ever played on. I played on it for 1 hour and the sound started cutting out every 30 or so seconds at level 5. Then about 15 minutes later I had to turn it up to see how much volume it had. I set it at 8 and it cut out every 5 seconds. I couldn't even play a song. Do not buy this amp you will get what you pay for!!! The effects aren't that bad but the overdrive sounds weak and cheesy. If you don't need a lot of volume and are ok with sending it back after a week by all means, buy this amp. But it is not high quality and i would advise anyone against buying this amp.

I have been playing guitar for 2 years now, and i have gotten pretty good with this amp's delay and chorus features. it so far hasn't let me down, although it could be a little louder. it's a smart buy

Nice amp. One of the best I've played with backstage.

Suprisingly Good

When I bought this combo, I was looking for somehting with a lot of volume. This baby pumps out 120 Watts of power, so that handled that situation. I was surprised when I bought it because it has a sweet twangy clean sound to it, then the overdrive is pretty good too. Only downfall is the noise the speakers make under high stress. Noise Gate should do the trick.

this amp gives a great clean sound when you play it down for slow songs or for jazz. and the distortion is great. but when playin it high and pushing it watch our for a buzz, especially in the older ones. but other than that, drive is a good solid company.

Not bad.. Not bad

By Ron-W2qyu

First off, for the price, you can't beat that. It's not the best amp out there but it's pretty good for home use. Not a good band amp, just not loud enough. Sound does change for the worst when up in the higher levels, in the lower to mid level it does have good sound. A big negative is its constant hum, and nothing will stop it. Others had the same to say about that.

Great Amp, great price....just plain Great!

Just got the amp yesterday, and played with it all night. It has incredible sounds, especially when i plug my digitech effects pedal into it. Awesome sound and very powerful. Perfect for any gig in a small club setting our house party.

Really nice amp

By Nickwh2

I got this amp a few days ago and it is a really great amp. I was a little worried because a lot of the other reviews said that the sound goes in and out when played at a high volume. But I played it at the highest volume setting and it didn't go out at all. The effects are nice but I do wish that you could adjust the different effects more in depth. The lead channel is good but it does sound very muffled. The clean channel sounds amazing. This amp is definitely worth the money paid for it. Highly recommended!
