OVERVIEW

This weeping Crybaby wah gets the nod from a Seattle grunge legend.

The Dunlop JC95 Jerry Cantrell Signature Cry Baby Wah pedal offers the kind of wide dark response favored by Jerry. The Cantrell signature wah is custom-voiced for a tight, punchy heel-down guitar tone.

One of the most influential guitarists to come out of the Seattle rock scene, Jerry Cantrell's epic riffs and searing tone have been the driving force behind Alice in Chains since the late '80s. His melancholy wah-drenched melodies in modern classics like "Man in the Box" and "The Rooster" left an indelible mark on a generation of guitarists.

A rugged side-control knob lets you fine-tune the toe-down frequency. And with its antique, oxidized "road worn" brass casting and custom Alice in Chains tread, the Jerry Cantrell Signature Cry Baby is a wah pedal that looks as great as it sounds.

Power the Dunlop Jerry Cantrell Signature Cry Baby Wah with a single 9V battery (accessed via the pedal bottom), a Dunlop EC8003 AC adapter, or a Dunlop DCB10 DC Brick power supply (not included).

FEATURES
  • Adjustable fine-tune knob
  • Heavy-duty bypass switch
  • Top-quality input and output jacks
  • Road-worn brass casting

A great version of a classic pedal. Order today.

Very nice control knob to adjust to your personal wah setting. Very well built heavy wah pedal. Bypass works! Will not suck your guitar tone when turned off. A very small amount of distortion when used on a clean amp setting. This is when the knob is at half way. This adds a very nice color the to my sound on clean. When added with distorion this slight color adds a sweet sound. The only thing I would change is the battery cover. It does not screw in to the pedal but it clips in and out. The color is very nice when seen in person. I use an American stratocaster with humbumbers installed. I use a Marshall JMC 900 dual channel all tube amp along with a Genz Benz 2 12 speaker cabient. I only use this wah with no other guitar effects when playing live. The little extra more money you spend on this wah is well worth it.

I'm a huge Cantrell fan and own an American made Cantrell Rampage. I bought this pedal and it was great for a little over a year and the circut board died. Sent it to Dunlop and they 'repaired' it. It never sounded the same. No sweep and no vocal. It wasn't worth sending it back to Dunlop for another repair which costs. I've since thrown it in my junk pedal box and bought a regular Cry Baby. Hate to be a party pooper but it's the truth.

Comments about Dunlop JC95 Jerry Cantrell Signature Cry Baby Wah Guitar Effects Pedal:

What a wonderful wah pedal. I have gone through two Dunlop Crybaby wahs over the last 20 years. The first pedal was great; the second, something was off on the sound. I tried adjusting it several times, but it never sounded as good as the first. I did some research and decided to give the Jerry Cantrell wah a whirl. I've always though he has a classic wah sound. It was well worth the money. I love the option of having the knob to change the tone from a deep throaty growl to a more trebly response. Looking forward to playing some shows with this in the near future. I am not disappointed in the least.

Comments about Dunlop JC95 Jerry Cantrell Signature Cry Baby Wah Guitar Effects Pedal:

I have a few Crybaby wahs and this is at the top of the list,so far... They all have great construction and sound, and have stood the test of time and use. For the price(with MF DISCOUNT)it really can't be beat!I have an original Hendrix, custom Dime, and now the Cantrell. They all share the same good qualities, and have each an individual voice and sweep. The Cantrell is a heel-down style, which I find to be easy to create Cream style swells with.It does not bottom out or get mushy, like some wahs I've played. It is also tunable with a treble pot essentially. Excellent build quality and most importantly sound! I would recommend if you are looking for something a lil bit different than a standard Crybay.

Comments about Dunlop JC95 Jerry Cantrell Signature Cry Baby Wah Guitar Effects Pedal:

The pedal is the best I have played with. It nails the AIC tone, yet you can use it for other songs as well. My only complaint is you cannot tell if it is on just by looking at it. Not too big of a deal I guess for home use...but if you are a professional on stage, I would hate to guess and be wrong.

Comments about Dunlop JC95 Jerry Cantrell Signature Cry Baby Wah Guitar Effects Pedal:

After a long, long search for the perfect Wah pedal I finally found it! The JC95 Wah has been on my board for about a year now and that's where it's going to stay. The sound is very mid-rangy without the sharp earsplitting frequencies you get from most Wah sweeps. If you've ever listened to Alice in Chains then you know exactly what this pedal sounds like. Dunlop did a fantastic job nailing Jerry Cantrell's tone. On a side note, it also nails Tool's Adam Jones' wah tone.

The worn brass enclosure looks amazing and the pedal is built like a tank. I highly recommend!

Comments about Dunlop JC95 Jerry Cantrell Signature Cry Baby Wah Guitar Effects Pedal:

I hate thin sounding, trebley wahs. I originally ordered a Buddy Guy wah, primarily for the Deep setting - looking for that thick tone. When it came the pot was shot, so I shopped around, took a chance, and bought the Jerry Cantrell without playing it first, based on the reviews. It's really great. As other reviewers said, the tone is adjustable, but I think starts at a classic wah and gets heavier from there. With the adjustment knob at about 12:00 it's the wah sound from Doyle Bramhall's solo in the Arc Angels' live version of Dimples, and it gets darker from there. Perfect for blues, in my opinion. As other reviewers said, an LED might be nice, but not essential. Wish this (and every other wah I've tried) had better RFI shielding but it is what it is, I guess. I'm very happy with this pedal
