A good octave fuzz. Sounds odd on it's own as do all such pedals. To make them work well they need to be followed by another fuzz/distortion to smooth them out and blend the sound. That's what Hendrix did/Neil Young does.
If you want hendrix, he's in the box. And he'll always jump right out every time you step on the pedal.
With the volume and tone knobs turned all the way up, this makes some pretty severe overdrive, and with it a little quieter, you can hear the octavia, which sounds pretty cool. The fuzz is nice, too. If you like Hendrix style guitar, you will like this pedal.
If you want to capture the sound of Jimi Hendrix this pedal is not the way to go. I've worked with it for about a year now and I got it to sound better than when I first bought it, but it still sucks. It especially sounds bad when you play anywhere before the 12th fret of your guitar. I'm still trying to get a Jimmy Page or David Gilmour sound on my guitar. I'm thinking about buying the Tweak Fuzz pedal but im going to try out a few pedals before buying.
Very simple Pedal. Does the Hendrix thing perfectly!
I am a huge Hendrix fan and I think this pedal makes me sound like Hendrix ( though not nwearly as good ). If you would like a nice sounding pedal this is a nice one to get. When the volume and tone is all the way up it is really in your face.
