I am a big 15 inch speaker guy and have finally found something better. The 12 s have the nice punch and quickness of 10s but bottom close to a 15. This cab is sweet sounds just like your amp and bass, has a very warm smoothe sound.I think I will get another one and sell my 8x10 and 15s.Pricey but worth every penny.I power this with an Eden wt400 if I get another I will use an Eden wt800 to power them.Dont waste your time with cheap stuff get these!!!!!!!!!!!!
I purchased this cabinet a year ago and I am very happy that I did. I play 5 & 6 string basses and I use a SWR SM-400s head. I parted ways with my Henry 8X8 and was looking to replace it. The EBS Proline 212 is more portable , has greater frequency range and is less expensive! I use this cab as a stand alone when I play with my Blues and R&B projects (which tend to be in smaller venues anyway.) I stack my 212 on a 15" sub to use the full power of my Sm 400s @ my metal gigs. This cab. reproduces the color and texture of my basses and SWR so wonderfully. From clear powerfull lows to crisp and poppy highs this cab does it all. There were 2 reasons I didn't give 5's across the board. First; There are no wheels even though the description says there are, and second; The tweeter was miswired upon arrival. Mike at EBS U.S. was very professional and helpful and this issue was resolved quickly here in town.I love this cab. so much I'm thinking of buying another and doing away with my Sub. as the EBS has a lower frequency response then most of the subs out there and @ 4 Ohms it uses the full power available from my Amp!!
