Ebtech

No buzz, no hum, no signal loss, no filtering, no noise gates.

The Ebtech Hum Eliminator™ is designed to eliminate 60 cycle hum (60Hz AC signal) caused by Ground Loops. It is also designed to convert unbalanced lines to a true balanced lines.

Do you hear a hum or buzz in your audio signal? Are long unbalanced lines across stage creating noise problems? Cancel unwanted noise with the Hum Eliminator™ from Ebtech®.

Almost all AC hum (60Hz in the US, 50 Hz in most other countries), is caused by ground loops. These ground loops act like radio antennae picking up hum and noise. The Hum Eliminator™ completely suppresses this by breaking the ground loop, making it impossible for the signal lines to pick up the AC hum and noise in the first place.

Just plug the Hum Eliminator™ in the signal lines between the offending pieces of equipment and you're done! Quick and easy.

No buzz, no hum. No signal degradation. No filtering. No noise gates. No dangerous ground lifts.

Features

  • Eliminates AC hum / 60Hz buzz and noise, quickly and easily
  • Breaks ground loop safely, while leaving all signal grounds intact
  • Automatically translates signal voltages to match differences in ground potentials, avoiding clipping

This is well worth the $$$ if your looking to keep your recordings pristine clean. I purchased a 300 dollar power conditioner for my home studio hoping to kill all the humming and buzzing while I'm trying to record. However, while the conditioner helped to keep AC interference from screwing up a good recording, my keyboard was still buzzing. I purchased one of these as well as (2) TRS1/4 inch balanced cables for stereo input and TOTAL SILENCE! My multitrack recorder has 1/4 inch balanced inputs as well as 3 pin so the Hum Eliminator converted my unbalanced 1/4 inch output on my keyboard to a 1/4 inch balanced input into my recorder. Very handy to be able to choose a conversion to a balanced 3pin or TRS1/4 inch. Between the power conditioner and this unit the signal is absolutely silent. I will be purchasing more soon to convert all unbalanced outputs to a balanced input. Their kinda pricey but well worth it.

The noises from my effects pedals were driving me crazy.  I run two chains, one for the electric side and one for acoustic.  This thing Killed the noise...I am selling my hush pedal because I do not need it now.  Great product that does exactly what is says...Kills Hum!

Truly a great piece of gear.  No muss, no fuss and about as straight forward as it gets.  Easy to use and I love the option of XLR or TRS 1/4. We've been using this for the mains at our church (an all metal building) and it completely KILLED the hum..."total freakin' silence".  We've been using for about 6 months with no issue.  Just today I purchased a second unit for the run to our monitors.
