Comments about Eden E300 300W Bass Amp Head:
At this price you cant go wrong as the E300 deliver great over all Tube bass tone, yes she growls like SVT. I dont care for the noisy fans but easy fix. Eden needs to offer rack mount ears for this model but again easy fix. Compared to my WT550 I love the tone this amp delivers!
the 3 band tone with Enhance control are great easy to get the tone I looking for!
built like tank in steel chassis.
The fans are noise but its easy fix, will relace with noiseless fans later!
For bass amp that has in your face pure bass tone, that Eden is know for! this may be import, but the E300 delivers!
Comments about Eden E300 300W Bass Amp Head:
Someone must have bumped their head. I wanted a cheap back up that I could use in the practice room. It has a CD input and Headphone out and was very inexpensive for a Condition 1 used unit so I got one. I thought I can always return it if it's junk. I got it in a few days, plugged it in and was amazed. I've played a Fender Bassman 250 1X15 for a few years now and was completely satisfied... until I hit the first note with the Eden. The Bassman just became my practice amp. With all the controls set flat and the Enhance set at the mid-point it's got a GREAT tone using either my MIM Jazz or my MIM P Bass. There are only 3 tone controls but believe me, that's enough. They are extremely responsive and will dial in your tone quite nicely. I cannot say enough good things about this little amp. I've paired it with a Carvin 2X10 cabinet and get more stage volume than I need. I run to the board through the direct out and fill the house with low end. I rated at the mid-point on features because there is no adjustable compressor or mute/tuner out. My Bassman has me spoiled here with a ton of usable features. I rated quality a 4 only because the Master volume pot is a little tight. Not enough concern for me to do anything about it. Just a very slight oversight by the QA dept. There is NO WAY you'll do better than this for the money. Nothing in this price range even comes close. Don't wait, get one before someone comes to their senses and puts the price in the $400-$600 range where it belongs.
Comments about Eden E300 300W Bass Amp Head:
I had almost quit playing bass all together, sold off most of my equipment except for my basses, a 4x10 cab, and an Ampeg combo amp. But recently I began playing bass for a cover band and decided I needed to build a rig back up. I have always heard good things about Eden products so when I saw this amp in used condition, I had to pick it up. I figured it would just get me by until I really found a bass rig I wanted to invest in.As far as amps go, I doubt that I will ever be investing! I was shocked! This amp is so small, compact compared to most bass amps. The reviewer that said it weighs a lot obviously hasn't dealt with a lot of amp heads because i was shocked at how light it is. I was concerned it would be cheaply made but from what I can tell its rugged and going to last a long time. Good high quality jacks and knobs. Cooling fans do make noise, but nothing worse than other amps or rack fans, so that should be of no concern to anyone. 300 watts is more than enough power. I'm so sick of playing shows and guys rolling in with 16 8s and 3400 watts of power and then running direct out of their amp, thats crazy. The E300 has an enormous amount of power, doesn't sound like a 300 watt amp at all. Massive walls of tone. Plenty of stage volume. Now for my favorite part- the sound. Comparing this amp to my friend's Behringer Ultrabass head, his Workingpro 400 head, my Ampeg combo, and my previous processor/Crown power amp set up, the Eden is BOSS! I plugged it in, set my gain and volume, turned the enhancer to a certain spot and bingo, I was nearly at my tone. A little tweaking with the mid, treb, and bass controls polished it off. Sounds amazing with my Traben Array running into it. Seriously, I've seen a lot of bass amps in my time, played on some nice gear, and while I wouldn't say this is THE best bass head out there, it is sure up there. I was totally expecting a decent sounding little amp that I would upgrade from but I wouldn't trade this thing for the world. It is simply incredible! A lot of punch, a nice thick responsive low end, and very versatile.I wish I could say more about this amp, for the price you are already getting a deal. I can't think of another 300 watt head this cheap. You are also getting a beast! Stripped down controls, small and lightweight, huge sound, just an all-around A+. If you have any urge at all to get this amp, go with it.
Comments about Eden E300 300W Bass Amp Head:
Love my Eden. I was almost scared to buy it since no one else seems to have one. But I'm glad I did. EXTREMELY clean sound, it doesn't have many features only master, gain, bass mid treble and enhance but when you tune those knobs you get IMMEDIATE results! You can really mold your sound without 20 someodd knobs. Also it has headphone and MP3 in. However I do wish for a mute or foot switch but at this price, I feel I got a premium amp for peanuts that encourages me to play cleaner and become a better musician.
