This amp is incredible: it sounds great, it doesn't need tweaking to achieve great sound, it's got more power than you could need, and it's composed of two separate 400w amps. You can hook up to four 8ohm cabs to it, or two 4 ohm cabs, or bridge one 8 ohm cab (mono bridge). It is much lighter than many amps, like ampeg svts (26 pounds vs 80 pounds). It is a hybrid amp, so the tube preamp creates a great sound. The D.I works GREAT in studio, and if wou play live, and overheat the amp, it will automatically shut down, while still remain "on" so the crowd still hears you even if you don't hear yourself, but that's just if you play too loud. The only reason why some people don't like this amp is that some of them have had issues for repairing, but mine never had any problems yet in 5 years.

I bought this head about 10 years ago. You can't get a much better sound... when it works. When I first got it it would shut itself down, at the gig. I guess they're was some type of manufacturing defect. Anyway that was fixed and everything from then was fine until a few years ago it started screaming when you touch an eq knob. It's a great sounding head- But it's so temperamental and sensititive. Plenty of power. I used it with a eden 2x10 and a 4x10 bi-amped. It involved a lot of tweaking but when finally got it all dialed in... oh mama. Just hope they've worked out all the bugs.

Eden WT800C, Best Hybrid Amp

Ask me a question

Comments about Eden WT800 World Tour Bass Amp Head:

I was one of the first to own this amp ("C" version) in '06 and have been very pleased with it. The set-up may take some getting used to but with the Enhance control, you'll be up and playing in no time. I have used it with several speaker set-ups in bridged and biamp modes with good results. It has great tone and punch and is very well made. I had some issues with the power supply a year or so ago but was able to get it serviced with out any hassles. I own several Eden products and the service has been good so far.

5 stars night after night!

Comments about Eden WT800 World Tour Bass Amp Head:

Been gigging this amp for over a year now and it hasn't let me or anyone else down. It caters to all sized gigs and even supports personal practicing. The EQ section is off the handle giving you more control than most people know what to do with! Enhance knob.. what else really needs to be said. A little goes a long way and it adds to the amazing versatility of this amp. For anyone who's ever used one of these monsters you know what I'm talking about. I personally run mine through the Eden D610XLT bridged and I can't ever see the need for anything bigger to be honest. Recording with the WT800 is nothing short of a dream as well. Almost completely flat and use just a dash of enhance and presto, instant recordable tones to satisfy even the worst critics. It's simply the touring standard for a reason, bar none.

Bass Excellence

Comments about Eden WT800 World Tour Bass Amp Head:

I had an SWR SM 900 and I now have the WT800. There is no comparison in the sound of the two amps. The Eden is by far the best amp for any sytle of bass playing. I am now selling my SWR to purchase an additional Eden WT 800.

Best bass amp head ever!

By who cares...

from New Jersey

Comments about Eden WT800 World Tour Bass Amp Head:

Hooked up to the Hartke cabinets I got with it, this head is the best amp head I've ever had. I've used Hartke's, Carvins, and even Line s with their good yet pathetically unreal tone, this thing gives you 100 percent real tone. Eden knows how to make the best bass amps, and after having an Eden combo amp I finally worked up the money to get this thing, it was worth the buy.

Simply the Best

By HillCountryBottomDweller

Comments about Eden WT800 World Tour Bass Amp Head:

I've been playing bass for over 30 years, and without a doubt, this is the best amp I've ever owned. This goes beyond volume (it has plenty of volume, if you need it, though). I work with several different groups, playing old and new country, old and new rock, old school R&B, and occasionally some jazz. I've yet to have a situation where I couldn't get the sound I want at the level needed.I use mine in bridge mode into a 8-ohm Eden 410XLT. The "warmth" of the sound is incredible, even at low volume.

I've played

By Cgents

from Green Island, NY

Comments about Eden WT800 World Tour Bass Amp Head:

I've played through a lot of bass heads in 24 years, and I have finally found THE one. I have owned this head for 6 years. Never had a problem, and I gig 3 days a week. What truly amazes me about the head is the clarity, punch, and reliability. Also, if you've never experienced the parametric EQ on this baby, you are in for a complete "Tonal" suprise. And the power...even running it bridged mono into 8 ohms "almost maxed out" at an outdoor concert, the low end was still full and never distorted. When I stood too close to the speakers, it blurred my vision with a slight flick of the finger. This amp has so much headroom, it is the Dodge Viper of bass amps. Eden just simply builds a quality product. Period. Many pros have this bad-boy hand-delivered to them on stage. I have always been happy with this head. I run it through one Eden 4x10 horned cab usually, with a Fender Deluxe P-bass.

Roscoe 5 tru production

By Foundation5

from Nashville

Comments about Eden WT800 World Tour Bass Amp Head:

I use the 80 head in conjuction with a double 210 XLT set up and the true sound reproduction of my bass is always very clean and powerful. Even with the lows at max, the amp is clear and articulate. Tweeking is needed because the amp can be a bit abrasive in tone at high volume, but is easily tamed by playing with the semi-parametric EQ. Wonderful in my ten years of ownership with only two repairs!!

Simple, Powerful, Pure......Awesome

By Stubbrnmule-7_DXo

from Brookings, OR

Comments about Eden WT800 World Tour Bass Amp Head:

I purchased this head new about 6 months ago, and have been playing it through two Bergantino HT 322 cabs. I am constantly amazed at the tone I achieve through with this rig. No doubt that these Bergies have a lot to do with it, but the combination has given me the tone I've sought. No more looking for gear. I can just sit back, pratice and play. This head will give you everyting you want, and then some. I run it nearly flat on the EQ with just a slight bump in the low mid. Tweek the enhance knob a little depending on the style of music, and forget about it after that. I primarily play a Fender American Deluxe J Bass, but also use a 79 Music Man Stingray, Fender Roscoe Beck 5 string, and of course the timeless P bass with flats for thick bottom end on blues numbers. This head does it all with ease. My favorite aspect of the head is that it is actually two 400W amps that you can drive separately. I push one into each of the 4ohm Bergantino's. The sound is crisp, full, plenty of bottom end, lots of midrange punch, and nice full round sound. I couldn't be happier. My search for the perfect rig ended with this head and the Bergantino cabs. Costly? Yep. But you get what you pay for. Very solidly built, and not packed full of a bunch of nonsense frills, bells and whistles. Highly recommended! Between this Eden head, and Bergantino cabs, I'll never go back to the mainstream gear. A name is just a name. Let your ear be the judge.
