Comments about Eden WTX500 Bass Amp Head:
This is the second of my two "mini" bass rigs consisting of a 500w head and a 1x12 cabs. Its an outstanding setup for someone who just doesnt play really big gigs. I always use one cab when practicing, jamming, or doing small bar gigs. The 250w into a single Eden cab is sufficient for most stuff actually. The tone is a big reason to get this amp. Theres only a few amps on the market in this price range including this one, the Markbass, and the Aguilar Tonehammer that sound really good, the differences come down to personal preference.
Comments about Eden WTX500 Bass Amp Head:
It's a nice little amp. Powerful enough to push two SWR Goliaths, and sounds good. My only beef as of now is, the awful snap/pop you get when the "mute" switch is engaged. I havn't had a chance to use the "direct out" yet. I have an Eden D210XST also, but the head is too powerful for it. Other than that, it's great for portabilty! Beats the heck out of lugging my racked SWR-750x!
Comments about Eden WTX500 Bass Amp Head:
for the gig I do, small clubs, private parties, even hotel conventions, this bass amp can handle even more. what i like about it is it's size, features, weight & very compact, plus the tone is better. I also own a GK500 micro amp which is similar, but Eden has more "fat sound"
Comments about Eden WTX500 Bass Amp Head:
Just got it early July and just might give my LMK-II a little rest. The mute & pre/post D.I. with volume control puts it over the top. I think I forgot to mention TONE,POWER,PORTA...WINNER!!Have not played with it enough yet for a 5 Quality rate.
Comments about Eden WTX500 Bass Amp Head:
Pros: Loved the weight. Very nice electronics. Good feel to all the controls. Great bass tones. Nice overall piece of gig worthy equipment. Nice user friendly manual. Cons: Crooked, hand painted lines on control knobs. Never could find "my tone" that I'm used to from my Peavey and Hartke amps. Main gripe: Willing to work with finding my tone issue but couldn't get the volume I needed. Maxed out volume controls but did not achieved normally LOUD stage levels. Final results: I would love to try this amp for awhile to see if it could make the corporate gig scene but side by side with my Hartke out in the garage, well...it just didn't compare well.
Comments about Eden WTX500 Bass Amp Head:
I just picked this thing up a week ago...and haven't been able to turn it past 1 1/2 in our small rehearsal space! Can't wait for upcoming gigs. I have it paired with an Ampeg SVT 8x10 and Line 6 Bass pod for effects and more tones on the way. You should use a pedal if you want anything more than basic...this thing delivers for any style of music probably...I play rock and roll.
