Egnater

A combo amp with a whole new level of flexibility and tone-shaping power.

The Egnater Rebel-30 Tube Combo Guitar Amp features Egnater's unique TUBE MIX knob. You get access to an incredible variety of tones, from American to British and all points in between. The Egnater Rebel-30 amp's Channel 1 delivers rich cleans with controls for volume, treble and bass. Channel 2 dishes out powerful, touch-responsive overdrive with treble, middle and bass EQ, as well as a wide-range gain knob that takes you from growl to scream. Both channels feature Egnater's signature BRIGHT and TIGHT switches and each channel has its own WATTS knob so you can access both low-wattage crunch and serious clean headroom—or any combination you choose.

The Egnater Rebel-30 amp's specially designed and easily accessible back panel holds more welcome surprises—such as independent REVERB controls for each channel and a tone-preserving series effects loop. A speaker-emulated line out lets you go directly to the board live or in the studio. Set the standby switch to 'Silent Record' for great direct-recorded tones that spare both your ears and your neighbors'. And the easy-access chassis makes swapping tubes quick and painless. The Egnater Rebel-30 is available as a 1x12" combo with the same dimensions as the Rebel-112x cab and as a 2x12" combo. Both include a dual-function footswitch for channel selection and reverb on/off.

Comments about Egnater Rebel-30 212 2x12" 30W Tube Combo Guitar Amp:

I loved this amp. It was the only combo amp that I tried that beat out Fender amps for that great clean sound. The clean sound almost made my Fender Strat sound like a jumbo acoustic guitar. Unbelievable tone. I had decided it would be the amp for me. The 1-30 watt control and choice between 6L6 and El34 tubes actually turned out to not be as impressive as I thought it maybe. Not bad but just not that impressive. But on the first gig I played with it the gain channel cut out during the 2nd set. I finished the set using the clean channel. During the break I powered down and all was good again during the last set. When I looked at the reviews here I saw 3 other people here report the same problem with no resolution because the problem would not repeat when it was in the service center. At that point I decided to return it to Guitar Center before the 30 days was up. So sad cos I loved that clean sound so much. But the gain channel didn't react as well to pedals as my Fender Hotrod Deluxe. I ended up getting the latest version of the Hotrod to replace it. I did try some of the other Egnaters first but I didn't like them nearly as much as the Rebel 30.

Comments about Egnater Rebel-30 212 2x12" 30W Tube Combo Guitar Amp:

Got my amp and was really liking the tone. After a couple of days the amp just quit. All internal fuses and tunes good. Called Egnater and was told the amp had a bad transformer. They advised to send it in and get the tranny and fan upgrade at my cost. Looks like I'm out of luck. This amp is really budget and no where near boutique. I should have read the forums first, lots of reliability issues.

Comments about Egnater Rebel-30 212 2x12" 30W Tube Combo Guitar Amp:

I purchased this amp in February. Last month, the volume pot stopped working and the volume for this channel is set constantly at about 60%. This defect should be covered by warranty.
I've attempted to contact Egnater several times by filling out the "Request for Service" form on their website, but to no avail. I called their customer service number, but an answering machine answers and the mailbox is full. I even attempted to contact Bruce Egnater, the namesake of the company, using an email from an internet forum. Needless to say I've received no response. I get the impression that this company is no longer a going concern and they are merely selling off remaining stock. Check online and you'll see many similar complaints.
Although the amp is great when working, don't expect any customer support or warranty repairs. Ive had the amp 7 months and I'm going to have to spend money out-of-pocket for repairs that should (1) not happen and (2) be covered by warranty.

    Avoid this manufacturer!!!!

If you want to treat your Ears to some sublime tones - the REBEL 30-212 is an E-ticket ride. The combination of the two different kinds of speakers (Celestion Vintage 30 & Celestion 80,voiced for Egnater) brings sounds to your noggin' that are sweeter than candy. All of the other extras (6V6 & EL84 Tube Mix/1-30 watts per channel/Reverb with spillover/etc.) are icing on the cake. ENJOY!

Comments about Egnater Rebel-30 212 2x12" 30W Tube Combo Guitar Amp:

this amp needs a little break in time to free up the speakers after about 20 hrs those speakers loosen up and and sound much crisper you wont be disappointed buy one!!!! the only problem was the foot switch failed on the first day but Egnaters tech guys were on it and a new pedal is on the way.
traded up from rebel 20 to the rebel 30 2x12 .the 20 is a fantastic amp the 30 ,even better! you will find the settings on the 30 differ from the 20 with the tone pots at different settings to get your sound. the clean channel is superb! you like gain? you will love this amp.

      Amazing

      By ILikemusic

Comments about Egnater Rebel-30 212 2x12" 30W Tube Combo Guitar Amp:

This is a amazing amp. It is extremely versatile. It sounds better then most amps that are twice the price. The tube mixing and wattage dials are great. I have read some reviews saying that they don't do much but those people either don't know how to use the feature or are deaf. It's like having a high quality Fender and a Marshall amp. If you put the wattage down you can hit the amps sweet spot at lower volumes. The build quality is solid. I can't see any part of the amp or foot switch breaking. The only negative things I have to say about it is it's kinda heavy for a 2x12. The caster wheels are great but BE CAREFUL! When the wheels are on it does not take much to knock the amp over. The wheels are easy to get on and off so whenever you get the amp where it needs to go take off the wheels. Otherwise this amp is perfect. If this was ever stolen I would definitely replace it... even if the price doubled.

      An Amp for it All!!!

      By Deadbatteries33

      from Undisclosed

Comments about Egnater Rebel-30 212 2x12" 30W Tube Combo Guitar Amp:

I have had this amp for about 1 year and I don't think I could live a day without it. I had been looking at the rebel line and as soon as they came out with the combo, I had my dreams set. When I finally got it, I was blown away. It is my first tube amp and I was very particular about the features I wanted. Egnater supplied 2 footswitchable channels with wattage knobs for each and the epic tube mix knob. I love the way I can shape my tone and get a little more british bite with the EL84s. This amp can supply everything I need from pristine clean tones to bluesy overdrive to near-facemelting grind. While it cannot supply full out metal, it is extremely versitile AND it looks beautiful. All in all, if you have the dough, get one or any other Egnater. They really know what they are doing.

      awesome amp

      By tandm3

      from NW Florida

Comments about Egnater Rebel-30 212 2x12" 30W Tube Combo Guitar Amp:

I've had this amp for about 6 months now. I finally feel obliged to comment. This amp rocks. Everyone has read the reviews of the rebel line. I won't repeat them here. Features that I think are great are the direct record out, tube mix, watts mix, individual reverb levels for both channels, mismatched speakers, The knobs on this amp actually do stuff. The tone knobs are not kidding around. bright and tight switches are souped up versions of the bright and deep switches you're familiar with. A little twist of any knob makes a big difference. Really. Clean tones are top notch and pristine. Dirty goes as far as you like it. Down side: It's really heavy. It's almost as heavy as a Musicman 410 or Fender Super Reverb. I get a glassy vibration sometimes on the clean channel that I can't isolate. Something is vibrating in there that is a bit annoying at the house, but at stage volume completely disappears (duh). Overall a terrific amp for the price. 30 watts is plenty if not too much for any bar or club I've ever played. The weight of this thing is a small concern, but its also built like a tank. It's got great handles and removable heavy duty castors. It looks pretty, but was built to be taken on the road. The included heavy duty embroidered canvas cover is also very deluxe.
