Speaking as Blues Guitarist; you just won't find a better built or better sounding amp than the Tourmaster.
I've had this amp for 3 years now and had a problem with blown fuses after 1st year.
I was told the factory installed fuses were of incorrect value and the authorized service center corrected the problem free of charge. Since then absolutely the best amp I've ever owned in 30+ years of playing. I stacked the combo on top of an EgnaterTourmaster 412 slant cabinet and the tone just blows me away.
I'm a blues guitarist and I usually keep the amp on the vintage 2 channel with gain turned almost all the way up.
I would put this amp up against any vintage or reproduction amp anytime when it comes to playing the Blues. No need to turn it up full blast to get great tube tone. I usually have it on 10 watt setting which is very loud.
I also have the Tourmaster 4100 head and cabinet which has the same great tone.
Just had to do an updated review to let musicians know what a great amp this really is.
Rock Solid Construction and Amazing Tone!
You can't put a value on great tone!

Maybe I had bad luck with my Egnater 4212 combo. I've owned it for less than two years,
and has been in the shop twice for a burnt power rectifier. The fuse would blow, and then it would not turn on. I would replace the fuse and it would blow again. I was told by repairman that internal parts are all made in China, and not built to last. I guess that's par for the course with most products these days anyway. Anyway, on my second time in the shop, I noticed someone else had dropped off theirs for repair too! Coincidence?
Also, this amp is a back-breaker, weighing in at 95 pounds. If you gig regularly, it gets old lugging this beast around.
Anyway, I'm selling mine as soon as it gets out of the shop. Let someone with more time lug this thing into the repair shop.
Also I live in Boston, and surprised at the lack of Authorized Service Techs that cover Egnater warranties. I had to drive a long way for service.
To Egnater's credit, the customer service is decent(they actually answer the phone when you call), and they backup the lifetime warranty.
And to support the other reviews here, this is a great sounding amp.
The tone shaping options on each channgel is great. Having four channels to tweak is certainly valuable.
I could have just had bad luck with my amp, but something tells me this particular amp is not going to last as long as your old Fender Twin.
Four different channels to tweak. Two cleans/ two overdrives, each with a Modern/Classic option. Four foot-switchable sounds, 8 configurable overall. It's hard NOT to find a great tone with this amp.
Beware, not all parts made in USA.
This is an excellent price for what you get. Four-channel tube amp: a great idea for a great price.

Comments about Egnater Tourmaster Series 4212 All-Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
Ive played this amp before at a store and like it a lot. I found a great deal on MF for a restock and received a B-Stock amp and out of the box, it looked like an amp that was filthy and poorly cleaned, and it was clearly evident that the back covers were removed several times for servicing (screw heads chewed up). Only the clean channel worked out of 4 and upon opening up and checking the tubes revealed that leaning on the chasis or wiggling the tubes made channel 2, 3 and 4 work, but faded quickly. Upon further inspection, I noticed the tubes were all different with w mix of Egnater (Grove tubes) brand labled, actual Groove Tubes and Ruby tubes, so this thing was clearly repaired and probably several times. Im hoping that the replacement will fair well, MF was awesome in helping me get a new replacement ordered and sent out ASAP, I am pleased with their Customer Service.
Pros
- Excellent Sound
- Good Warmth
Cons
- Weighs About 100 Pounds

Comments about Egnater Tourmaster Series 4212 All-Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
The Tourmaster is a gem of an amplifier. It is heavy in weight, however, probably because of it all-tube electronics. I marvel at the tone...it is hypnotizing once you find your sound. In no other amp have I found so detailed tone controls which allows you to play effectively with different guitars. It has an excellent and warm jazz sound as well as heavy rock or biting blues. I am a happy customer though I have had to send the unit back to the factory as it was on the floor of the store for one year. I can't wait to get it back home.

Comments about Egnater Tourmaster Series 4212 All-Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
Overall, I will dissent from the others and say this amp is so-so in sound. I was expecting much better when I ordered it, but ended up returning it after a few hours of playing around.
Lots of features, especially the ability to dial down each channel's power.
Solid, well built
Not that great of a sound. The first and second channel and very close. The third channel is a crunch that can be obtained through most good pedals. The lead channel screams, that's the best one. But overall, the sound is no better than a Fender DeVille with a few choice pedals. I am comparing it to the Blackstar HT-60 which I have and the Bogner Shiva. Shiva is quite a bit more money but blows this amp away. Blackstar is about even with it, but costs a lot less.
Comments about Egnater Tourmaster Series 4212 All-Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
Excellent. I am planning to get another smaller Egnateror 2-channel head and cab for gigs and leaving my combo at home for practice since it weighs a ton.
Amazing amp. So versatile and can fit any genre of music and is LOUD!
Excellent. Great tone! The lows sound great the highs are crisp, from the cleanest channel to the dirtiest. Wattage grid on the back helps immensely. You can't really tell the difference until you turn the volume past approximate the 10 o'clock mark. The record out feature is great too. Only a little bit of the tone is lost, but it is miniscule and when recording, you add anything that's lacking. Footpedal is solid enough and the lights are bright enough to see in bright light. FX works great and I love the controls for the FX loops in the back of the amp. Of course, the tube mix knobs as well as the Classic and Modern selectors is what really makes this amp shine.
The bad thing about this amp is that it weighs what seems to be as much as a house! Of course, when you have 12 tubes, what do you expect. I should have thought a little long about it and gotten the head and a 2x12 cab. Luckily it comes with wheels, which aren't the best. I'd advise replacing them with more rubbery wheels to make it smoother.
Handles are made well and heavy duty. The inputs and outputs seem to be pretty durable too.
I'd say, for the price, it's a great value as you're getting a few amps in one.
Comments about Egnater Tourmaster Series 4212 All-Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
Great amp for anything but death metal. It is crazy loud if you set it on half power/half output. Forget about it set to full power/output. You really have to enjoy playing with your sound to get this combo. You have so many chioces for each channel it's hard to dial in a sound and keep it set. It has a high and low input which is cool. The only draw back is it is heavy and the foot pedal is long. I do like the loop and reverb on the pedal. The reverb sounds great too. The modern/vintage switch does make a difference in the tone. The modern can get muddy. But like i said you can play with your tone for days on this thing. It has pictures in the owners book of settings to get certain tones. They work well to help dial you in or atleast get you close. I've been playin for 22 years and have owned alot of amps. This is the most versatile of all. It has the British and California sound all in one combo. You wont regret it.

Yes, that's right, Throw away your pedals because you won't be needing them anymore with The Tourmaster 4212. It's that good!Actually, I gave all of my pedals away after playing this amp.Egnater also has the best Technical Support. You can call and actually speak to a person that builds and tests the amps. By the way, I also own The Tourmaster 4100 Head and 412 Cabinet.
Comments about Egnater Tourmaster Series 4212 All-Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
I bought this amp to replace my undependable piece-o-krap Marshall DSL401. I gbought it for band practice mainly. After 6 months ownership I finally have it properly broken in. The sound has gotten smoother and more pleasant to my ears. I can make it sustain like crazy on the overdrive channels at rediculously low volume levels! The thing will absolutely "talk" to me. This amp has been rock solid in reliability. Believe it or not I allways run it at only 10 watts output (switches on back pannel). That may sound rather weak but 10 watts is loud enough to overpower my drummer at times. Oh yeah. When I take it to gigs I mic-it up and let the PA do the work. the way, at that lower power setting the tone is absolutely unaffected. I don't know how Mr.Egnater does that but he certainly knows his stuff. Happy Tourmaster owner here.
Comments about Egnater Tourmaster Series 4212 All-Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
Well i had been trying to find a good amp to suit my needs, and this thing definitely did it. I play mainly hard rock and blues and this amp covered those and everything in between. The cleans can be basically compared to a Fender, and the distortion can definitely keep up with a Mesa. The Tourmaster also contains a lot of cool features like the 10-100 watt power grid. This makes the amp very versatile for recording, gigs, etc. All in all, this is an incredible amp for a ridiculously good price.
