Comments about Egnater Vengeance 120W Tube Guitar Amp Head:
I have read reviews all over the internet and i see some bad and some good, well let me tell you, the people who voted this head down, are either not experienced are shouldn't have this amp in the first place. This head has metal chug, classic rock tones, blues, clean and whatever you want. The toggles on each channel are actually all very helpful and serve some purpose. The clean is fantastic, its clean not no 6505 clean here, the reverb gets really wet past around 10 or 9 so keep it low. I have no idea what the guy is talking about above me where the reverb is always on. When i turn it off, its off. someone tell him to get out of the church. Anyway, the gain channel, all i have to say is i have gotten the best metal tone out of all the amps i've played. It is exactly how i like my women, thick and juicy. It has all of the low end girth that you need for "that chug". If it matters i play through a H&K CC412B cabinet, which is also a 1,200 cabinet, but this head sounds great regardless. The cabinet does make a huge difference though. Needless to say i like my sound, wouldn't have a problem gigging, seems very well built, the knobs are sturdy and eq is sensitive. Overall this amp really does kill, if you know what your doing and an experienced player you will have no trouble finding a good sound for whatever you play.

i could not wait to get this egnater vengeance head,i sold my mesa boogie triple rec to get it,as soon as i plug it up to my 4x12 v30 cab it was tiny sounding, but i tryed to set it up and use it for recording and live and practice,i tryed for 3 months,it sounds like a solid state head,no power,no punch, the eq is trash,it sounds like thers reverb on all the time, never dry at all,the clean channel is great, with the same reverby sound as the high gain channel,i was turning this thing up to 6 and 7 at practice, not enough power,i tryed to record this with a mic and direct out,no good, this thing killed my ears in a way i cant take, compared to other amps iv owned, mesa, krank, line 6 bogner sv,kustom double cross,i sent the vengeance back and just got the peavey 6534+ head, its the best iv owned out of the the amps iv listed, more gain, more lows, and just perfect for metal..i put this on 3 at pratice and it kills, not 7,,,,its,,weak,,,i did boost it and use a mxr eq,delay in the loop,,

I stopped buy at the local guitar shopp today (Axe music) and I ws testing out the new Schecter SLS C1 (which I have been coveting for ever and bought) and got a chance to plug it in to this gem of an amp. As soon as i started playing it I new it would be the head I'm going to ge. It has beautiful, crisp cleans with excellent reverb to heavy metal, thrash distortion. You can also change the mids which is great and a switch between 60 watt output for home use and 120 watt output for shows/gigs. Go try it for yourself and you will see what this great am can to for you!!!!

I bought this Amp after checking out an Orange and a Marshall and was blown away !
The clean channel is very pristine. The crunch channel is great !
I love the fact that I can use the effects loop thats built in to the back of the amp that I use with my pedal board.
I also love the fact that it comes with switchable mids !
I also bought the slant cab 350 watt handling power !!!
Great amp
a must buy !
