Comments about Electro-Harmonix Graphic Fuzz XO Fuzz Guitar Effects Pedal:
I have had my friend over for almost a week just playing around with this getting different tones out of it and just having a blast seeing how far we can push the tones.
First off I play out of a Fender HotRod Delux amp and a Fender American Strat and I love how well this pedal compliments my rig, if I really want to rock out I can turn the EQ up and flip the fuzz switch while I'm in my fenders distortion channel and it actually sounds pretty damn good, most of the time you get a tinny feel to the sound but I can just really fatten up because of that EQ and it sounds great!
Sturdy build pedal, big though but well worth it.
A little steep on the price but well worth it if you want a good sound.

.
I didnt expect the big warm bottom end,its a big sounding pedal, its excelent but big in size compared too 4"x6" pedals !Its the best pick attack sencitive pedal ive played ever !The basic EQ leaving the sliders strait across flat, sounds good too start, then the good stuff, tweaking it to that sweet spot !I drove a Way huge Green Rhino OD into it,with the fuzz on low gain and it broke into this fantastic rock distortion and the chord crunch blew me away !The key is push it low gain and go up until your there, too far and it gets too creamy! The EH fuzz makes a punk outta a TS-9,the TS-9 just compresses too much,it cant get the BIG as heck OD fuzz sound this graphic fuzz gets .EH found something here,i gotta see what chip there using in there?A great versitile pedal like this is rare !I didnt give a 10 because its big, pricey factored in ! oops

To put it simply, the Graphic Fuzz pedal allowed me to finally find the distortion I have been looking for and then some. This pedal is as complex as you want it to be. With all of the control options, you can easily find the sound you are looking for... I know I did. It easily allows you to balance lows, mids and highs with it's 6 band EQ, which houses more utility than I thought it would. If EQ isn't your thing, it will be after you flip the fuzz switch. As I said, flipping the fuzz switch on this pedal gives you an amazing distortion. Adjusting the EQ will let you shape the fuzz even more. On top of that, you have 3 fuzz-only controls; overdrive and the dynamics & sustain sliders for the envelope. These allow you to go from gravely to sandy when you need it without having to change anything (aside from how hard you're playing). The one thing to point out about the fuzz is that it doesn't really get "face melting," but that's why I love it. It gets really warm though. My only complaint is that it makes a popping noise when engaged... not a big deal until you throw in a delay and end up with 7 popping noises... but this can be fixed with a little tinkering.Overall, I love this pedal. If you want a warm, fuzzy, creamy, crunchy aural experiment, get it.

I got lucky enough to find someone willing to swap this for my ts9. Man did i get the great end of a trade. I was planning on using this mainly as a clean EQ but once i flipped on the fuzz I fell in love. Through my fender deville 212 this thing kills. I use a telecaster deluxe with humbuckers and you can really get a nice thick sound out of this pedal. The distortion is capable of such amazing tones from ts-9 to big muff pi to RAT to metal. And with the 6 band EQ you can emulate just about any sound well. This is even going to replace my EHX metal muff because no matter how much you play with the tone controls on the muff the sound is always going to be muddy to a degree and after playing the graphic fuzz for a few hours the metal muff just sounds cheap.Everything about this pedal's construction seems solid, although I will have to be careful not to miss the bypass switch and stomp on the sliders. This thing is loaded with a bunch of extra features. The sustain is there and is very helpful, but not nearly as powerful/noticeable as a standalone unit. If you use sustain heavily you'll want a compressor in front of this. Dynamics works really well though, i like to keep mine about halfway with sustain most of the way up. Also since it has a volume control it can be used as a booster for leads. A stomp control for the fuzz/distortion would be nice, but since there is not one you basically have to choose if you're going to use it just for shaping clean tone or as your dirty channel.Overall what makes this such a standout unit is the quality and tone of the fuzz drive channel. It is a fuzz distortion but the fuzz is subtle and comes through more as a gritty drive that 6 bands of EQ can shape into almost any sound. This tone machine is going to be my main drive pedal for a long long time.

Here's a combination that might be interesting to a few. I use the EH Fuzz/EQ with a Fender Pro Junior Amp along with a Lawrence humbucking soundhole pickup with a built in volume control and let me tell ya it's a monster of a rig. My preference are tube amps without a master volume (Marshall's fall from grace with me)and with all four elements (guitar, amp, pickup, and e.h. fuzz/eq)this gives a great blues setup (ala Jim Schwall of Seigel Schwall Blues Band). The feedback issue is easily control by judicious muting techniques with both hands. By the way I use D'Addario custom light strings 11-52 I believe. This gives a little bit more of a electric guitar feel.

This is one of those pedals you never heard about but wish you had, and much sooner. The EQ alone is worth the price of admission, as it doesn't color you sound but rather adjusts the frequencies accordingly, which is exactly what it should do and nothing more. As for the fuzz...it's not as fuzzy as you would expect, but instead adds just the right amount of grit to the mix to make things interesting. The envelope section in my opinion is where the magic is; it adds a fair amount of articulation and quite a bit of touch sensitivity, depending on your amp and the other petals you might add to the mix. Under the right conditions you can go from a scream to a whisper just by backing off a bit on your attack, making for some really sweet dynamics and overall tonal bliss. I like to run it through the "plexi" crunch channel of my JVM head with a Keeley modded Blues Driver for just the right amount of push. The result is a classic rock tone that is thick, articulate and classic in every sense of the word. It's "that" tone and it is to die for. Sweet, sweet stuff. Dial it it now.
Comments about Electro-Harmonix Graphic Fuzz XO Fuzz Guitar Effects Pedal:
this pedal is amazing because you can dial up whatever sound you want. it can go from Jimmi fuzz to a quiet 6 band EQ. the Fuzz can be turned off with the flick of a switch turning this pedal into a EQ that just enhances the sound of your guitar and amp. but overdrive your tubes and flick the fuzz on and you find a dreamland of sustain and distortion.this is a great investment!p.s. don't step on the sliders because they break and cant be replaced.
Comments about Electro-Harmonix Graphic Fuzz XO Fuzz Guitar Effects Pedal:
one of the most flexible pedals i have ever used. it's closer to an overdrive than a distortion in my opinion and the range of tone you can get on this is amazing. i run it before a little big muff to help sculpt the tone and give the muff some mids and added bite. plus this thing is super quite, no hum whatsoever. it can work for everything from a nice, slightly dirty tone to a heavy, scooped tone. note: it doesn't have, in my opinion, enough gain for metal but as mentioned before i run a big muff after it and use that for more gain.
Comments about Electro-Harmonix Graphic Fuzz XO Fuzz Guitar Effects Pedal:
Excellent sound!! I really like this pedal, I was planning to get the Big Muff, but saw this and I gave it a try. well, I guess I was right!! There are so many possibilities with the EQ. you can make it sound a lot different just by tweaking all the buttons. Also the dynamics and sustain work really well. It is really quiet and doesn?t suck any tone. The quality of the sound is really good. If you are very orthodox, go with the big muff. But come on, don?t be like everyone else!! I definitely recommend this over the common muff.
