More Mutron-ish than the real Mutron!

High-quality, smooth-sounding auto wah designed to react precisely to even the fastest of playing, while still being able to deal with strong signals such as chords. In addition, the DB-1 will retain the full spectrum of tone present in the original signal without the volume peaks and dips common to other filters. Its multiple controls (Sensitivity, Up/Down Drive, Width and Attack) allow precise adjustment to the responsiveness and degree of the effect, while it's proprietary circuitry allows the DB-1 to be used for guitar, bass, or keyboards with equal effectiveness and dead-on tracking.

If digital modelers have left you flat, the DiscumBOBulator is sure to put the swing back in your strings!

  • Reacts precisely to fast playing, while still being able to deal with strong signals
  • Retains the full spectrum of tone present in the original signal without volume peaks and dips
  • Multiple controls (Sensitivity, Up/Down Drive, Width & Attack)

It's got just the right amount of squiggle and squawk. Order today!

Jerry Sound

If you are looking for that Jerry sound, this is the box for you...unless of course you want to pay huge bucks for an original Mutron III.
I bought this primarily for that Jerry G Auto Wah sound. This unit really does nail it!
The settings allow for a wide array of tone and textures.

I run a clean boost in front of it so you can get that wah sound even at relatively low volume

Perfect for funky rhythms as well
Very Solid, well built,
A bit pricey but well worth it when compared to cheaper units

Best Envelope Filter, Warm and Funky

By funkadelicker

from Plymouth, MA

I love this thing, it doesn't suck all the tone out of your sound like others that I've used. It's really funkadelic. I use it with my 12 string electric and it handles the high output fine, even with chords. My only complaint is it didn't ship with a power supply, at this cost it really should.

1978 in a box

By smo

jerry garcia is not dead... he's inside this box.. this is the closest sounding envelope filter to jerry's classic mutron iii shakedown st. sound and other grateful dead funkified tunes.. strange that this comes from the danish.. i've tried literally every envelope filter available on the market today and have owned many of them.. this is by far the most warm, analog, natural pick attack sensitivity that you could get.. ehx q-trons, guyatone ultron, they're great pedals but the discumbobulator nails it.. by the way i've played a bass through this also and i wouldn't recommend it for that.. i've had the best results with bass through the guyatone ultron (w/ internal dip switch adjustments) with my strat though the ultron sounded too digital.. go emma.. go denmark... can't wait to try their new od pedal. oh.. and by the way, in case you thought this was an "auto-wah" pedal, it is not despite what even emma's box label says. this is a straight up envelope filter there is no way to "automatically open and close the envelope like a wah wah pedal." if you want that go with the ultron which you can set the autowah by bpm's. anyway back to my point, emma discumbobulator, get it if you're cool.

Funk Bassist Dream Come True

I hate 10 star reviews, but this one deserves it. I had been looking for an envelope filter for awhile and after searching for a while, and only finding filters I didn't like, I decided to drop the big bucks...and I am very glad I did. I see why a pedal can cost so much now. Buy it and see for yourself.

A Must Have

This is the best envelope filter i have ever heard. I've had a mini qtron and it doesnt even compare to this pedal. Sounds great for guitar and just as great for bass. Also the small size of the pedal is ideal for the board. This pedal is really a must have for any player and for any style. A must have.

EMMA DB-1 DiscumBOBulator Envelope Filter

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

This is a great filter, for a decent price. To put it bluntly, this is the best you can get for the price, without having to pay over $300 for the line 6 modeler. By the way, this is 100% analog and I have noticed no degradation of my signal when it is present in my effects chain. It has some very cool sounds, and importantly, they are all usable. With the toggle switch in the "Up" mode, you get a traditional envelope filter sound. When you flip it to the "Down" mode, you get more of synth type of sound.
