Plentiful power, near endless sound shaping options, and cool stage looks.

The Engl Special Edition amp head has the same features as the 6L6 power amp version, but produces 100W with EL34 power amp tubes cutting through any music style. More punch and dynamics in the upper midrange. Shimmering blue lights inside give it a great look on darkened stages. This amp head is the perfect choice for the demanding guitarist.

Features
  • Tube Driver circuit for effect devices, also serves as a separate fifth channel that can be selected directly (with or without EQ) in reciprocation with the four channels
  • Modern and Classic sound-shaping buttons determine the basic voicing of all four channels, giving you a broader, deeper tonal spectrum to work with
  • Two Gain variants for each of the basic channels: Gain Boost and Hi Gain let you have two different gain settings for every channel

Comments about Engl Special Edition E 670 EL34 100W Guitar Amp Head:

I am a pro player and need great tone. This is the best amp I have ever played, bar none (I own two Mesa rigs as well .. Mark V and Road King II). I own two E670 EL34 rigs, one rig for studio and one rig for live. It's very consistent and built solid as a rock ... and the tone is just amazing. I have them both married with the 4X12 pro slant cabs and keep 2X12 pro cabs as backup. Glassy clean, warn clean, the best crunch Marshall never made, and two lead channels that will soar and growl at the same time. It will do anything you want it to do. All MIDI controllable! It is very easy to program. I can't recommend this head enough.

    The BEST Tone Ever

Comments about Engl Special Edition E 670 EL34 100W Guitar Amp Head:

I own a lot of amps and have my choice as to what to play through. This head is, by far, the best sounding, most versatile amp ever. Crystalline cleans, awesome crunch, and two lead channels that will melt your musical soul. Then, top that off with MIDI programmability on thing s like channel changes, output assignments, FX loops, boost, etc. It truly will do anything you ask it to. I already own two and am looking for a third. It IS the definitive Pro Musicians Amp, bar none.

Comments about Engl Special Edition E 670 EL34 100W Guitar Amp Head:

This amp is AMAZING.. from pristine glassy cleans, fat bluesy dirty cleans, light crunch to heavy crunch, slightly loose rock rhythm tones, super TIGHT fast brutal metal rhythm tone, Silky liquid leads, blah blah blah! Anything you want, this amp can deliver!! There's a reason why bands so different like Deep Purple, Nevermore and Necrophagist all use this amp.
