I made what for me was a big move -- sold my Ampeg SVT-3 and HLF-410 cab. I just wasn't *feeling* the Ampeg tone anymore. I wanted clean/more transparent but of course power too. I and my back also were craving lighter gear. I rolled the dice (because when you buy things based on reputation and stuff you read, you really are rolling the dice) and bought , and bought Epifani PS1000 and the UL-410 cab. Right move. I have gigged four times with the new rig and am very pleased. My bandmates and friends also have noticed the gorgeous, clean tone. I expect this will be my rig for a long, long time to come. I do have to agree with the previous reviewer, though, about the Speakon inputs. I thought it was just me!

the highlight of this unit is simply the amount of power for the price. it's a transparent amp with very few features (but who needs special features anyway). so don't be discouraged by the 3.5 rating for features. it doesn't bother me. i love that this can be run as 2 separate channels into 4 ohms each (at 500w each). i have 2 4ohm cabs so this works perfectly. alternatively, if you have one 8ohm cab, you can run it bridged at 1000 watts. i was tapping out my old 800 watt head (at 2ohms with 2 4ohm cabs). now this one is set half way and i have all i need. my one beef with this unit is that the neutrik connectors are way too tight. it's a struggle to put my cables on/off (which is why i gave them 4 for quality). i called and asked the company about this and was told it would rectify itself - well it has not. bottom line - i would buy this unit again if it were stolen.
