OVERVIEW

A dynamic hybrid volume and overdrive expression pedal to control your gain and volume simultaneously.

You asked, and Ernie Ball listened! Finally, an expression pedal that truly allows you to control your tonal voice with both gain and volume control knobs. The Ernie Ball MVP Pedal gives you complete freedom to set and control your desired volume and gain levels simultaneously. Minimum volume control allows for the heel position to be set at zero up to 50% for any rhythm level. Gain control allows for the toe position to be set at 100% up to a boosted 20+ decibels of gain for powerful lead levels. Tuner output can be used at any volume, with any tuner, without any effect on audio signal. No high frequency loss at any volume. Works with active and passive audio signals. Can be placed anywhere in the signal chain. Improved sweep for ideal volume control, 9v batttery or AC adapter powered. (adapter not included)

Good Build Quality & Very Useful

Comments about MVP Volume/Gain Expression Pedal:

so far I'm enjoying this pedal. I'm utilizing it as a volume controller
and it works perfectly for that. since it's place is the last position of
my pedals, I can control the effects that I use and I don't have to
bend down to tweak my pedals to get the right sound.
the build quality seems to be very rugged and I wouldn't hesitate
taking it along if I was gigging. so far no complaints and yes, I
would recommend it to others looking for a pedal that's very useful
for volume or gain control.

Comments about Ernie Ball MVP Volume/Gain Expression Pedal:

It's just what you expect. Solid build, smooth operation. The minimum control seems to range from zero to unity, while the maximum control goes from unity to +20db. So you can use it as a traditional volume pedal, a variable clean boost, or for smith transitions between two set volume levels. Very Nice.

Love it for volume swells and I also take advantage of the min volume so I can have a rhythm volume along with a max lead.

      Great Volume Pedal

Comments about Ernie Ball MVP Volume/Gain Expression Pedal:

This volume pedal has a great, even volume swell. The addition of gain controls makes the volume pedal even more useful, however. When I'm playing bass, I sometimes want to increase volume for certain passages, but without the sudden change in tone that comes from an overdrive or boost pedal. This does that (I use a few different class D amps). Additionally, this allows me to have greater flexibility with my volume without needing to fiddle with my amp or bass' volume knobs while playing. On guitar, this can act as a nice, subtle boost that can push gain-ier amps (I use an Orange) into some sweet saturation. Great pedal.

Comments about Ernie Ball MVP Volume/Gain Expression Pedal:

I absolutely love this Pedal! This works with both active and passive audio signals without tone or volume suck. The minimum and maximum control allows you to adjust the range of your pedal, and will even add a boosted 20+ decibels of gain beyond 100%.

I personally use this at the beginning of my pedal chain for swells since it has a buffered preamp, and will be using an A/B pedal swapper to switch its position between first and last in the chain.

Im in love with this pedal. Check it out, see if it's the right fit for you!

Comments about Ernie Ball MVP Volume/Gain Expression Pedal:

The DC power jack could be located in a better position. The setup on my board had the input/output jack crossed. This interfered with the power jack. I made it work, but it was not ideal. Overall the design is great. It definitely sucks less tone than other Ernie Ball volume pedals.

Comments about Ernie Ball MVP Volume/Gain Expression Pedal:

I have tried several other brands of volume pedals. Either the passive ones sucked the high frequencies out or the active ones had the wrong sweep taper, were noisy or occupied too much space on a pedalboard. This unit with its minimum volume setting, up to 20dB of clean boost and low current requirement really works for me.
