I have been playing guitar for a little over 7 years now, and this is the best amp I've ever owned. It's a loud, proud, overdriving Fender amp. It's pretty much a small Supersonic. I play mostly Metal and Punk, but i didn't always need my amp & cab i was using, so I asked my mom and dad for this amp this Christmas. I was not disappointed. It's now my main amp for just playing, and I'm using it as a pre-amp to my PA system. It does the job. The clean sounds like a high price Bassman or Twin Reverb. It's got that great Fender sound. Lest you think it's just for clean tones, the overdrive kicks out a great punch. It's cut down my Distortion pedal usage a lot, and is very versatile. It's tough as a tank too, I dropped it out of the back of my car today. The amp is fine, my foot is busted. For the price, It's just as good as anything you'll find today. It's a great little amp that's versatile and tough, and it won't break the bank.

I've been a player for going on 45 years now and still active in a classic rock&roll band. I haven't had a non-tube amp for at least 25 years. Currently playing through a 66' Super-Reverb or a 73' Bandmaster-Reverb. I am also a stomp box junkie. I know it's a sickness so don't judge me. I researched a little to find a respectable practice amp that I can fire up and play something at a moments notice. I decided on trying out this Frontman 25r. It got good reviews, so for the money, why not. I even picked up a replacement speaker to drop in it as soon as it arrived. I bought the Eminence Redcoat Ramrod. I know everybody recommends the Rajun Cajun. But I knew what the Redcoat can do. This amp is better than expected. Way better. For the extra 75.00 bucks to upgrade the speaker. Was a gamble that was worth it too. For a total of $160.00, the purchase was all well worth it. I think this amp will hold it's own with a full band rehearsal and even small venue gigs. Also note that the fender amp cover made for the Fender Champion 110 fits this amp perfect.

Comments about Fender 25R Frontman Series II 25W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:
I currently own a 1988 Peavey VTX Classic and a 1974 Fender Dual Showman Reverb with 2-15 bottom. I wanted a small portable amp with reverb for not much money. This amp fits the bill 100%. It sounds like a good Fender amp should. I play clean and I rarely have to turn it up above 3 for living room settings. I don't use the overdrive channel but I have tried it out of curiosity and it can be over the top (in a good way). I wholeheartedly recommend this amp with no reservations whatsoever.

Comments about Fender 25R Frontman Series II 25W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:
Got this jewel 2 weeks ago and couldn't be more pleased! I own several vintage, original Fender tube amps that are just too loud for my neighbors when I want to practice or "jam" so I read about this one and thought I'd give it a try. I've read that some replace the speaker right away, but this one seems to be just fine. The clean and the drive channels are very true for a solid state and I experience no static or break up at the higher volumes. This 'lil sucker can go loud too! I was really impressed with the reverb on this amp. It's rich, full and thick, and quite sensitive to the control knob. It performs better than I expected. The "Blackface" look is a nice touch as well. It's lite enough to carry in my pocket yet produces a big sound...and I don't have to disturb my neighbors! I dig that I can plug in earbuds and play silently too. All in all, great little amp. Well done Fender! Well done Musicians Friend! Can't beat the price either. *in my best "Cartman" voice*, "I love you'guys"...

Comments about Fender 25R Frontman Series II 25W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:
Classic Fender good looks and massive sound from this compact amp.
I use the clean channel with pedals to get a distorted grunge/post-punk type sound out of this amp.
The power from this amp has got to be heard to believe. I typically don't turn it up past 2 or 3 -- and when I do, I need earplugs to protect my hearing.
It is easily loud enough to play with a drummer and not be lost.
The RC jacks are useful to play a drum track via my smart-phone, though the single speaker does tend to get a bit muddy with my distorted signal and the drum track pushing through simultaneously. Still, having that extra input option is a great perk for practicing.

Comments about Fender 25R Frontman Series II 25W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:
Got this amp and right out of the box it sounded great. IT'S LOUD and Fender clean. I can't believe this amp cost this cheap. The stock speaker is not bad at all. I wanted to mod the amp so bought a Celestion G10 Vintage speaker and replaced the stock speaker. Less than 10 minutes job. Now this amp sounds killer and LOUDER than it was before (G10 made the sound a little darker and I'm loving it). I can do gig with this amp now. A great buy. If you want a best amp in the market with very little money, go for this one...Thanks MF!

Comments about Fender 25R Frontman Series II 25W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:
I fell in love with the cobalt blue color and had to have one. I wanted a lightweight practice amp that wouldn't break my back for around the house. I was disappointed as soon as I plugged in my guitar. The cheap 10" speaker can't handle any volume past 5 without overdriving and distorting. This may actually be desirable for the Thrashers, Shredders, and Metal Heads, but I prefer a cleaner sound. My original Fender GDEC actually sounds better with it's little 8" speaker. Another reviewer said he replaced the speaker with an Eminence Red Coat. I'm definitely going to replace the speaker, but I haven't decided on which one to buy. DO NOT BUY THIS AMP unless you're prepared to spend more money on a decent speaker or you like inferior sound. The speaker it comes with is JUNK! The amp has plenty of power and it's more power than the speaker can handle. There is not room in the case for a larger speaker. This is just a practice amp so don't buy it with thoughts of gigging with it. I stuck it back in the box and it will stay there until I can replace the speaker.

Comments about Fender 25R Frontman Series II 25W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:
I love this amp! Period! I have had a few of them over the years and they have always been around The same price. For that kind of money you get extreme Fender quality, packaged up in the little puppy. Let me put it this way, "I have a Bluesman all tube amp, and I play my frontman more often. It just sizzles and screams. No need for any effects, the gain and the reverb are awesome! The only problem that I have had on my latest model, is that power cord broke away from it's seating on the back of the amp. That bothered me as I do not move mine around much. Too bad for me it was out of warranty. I fixed it with some black electrical tape and was back in the saddle within minutes. I have a lot of fun with my Fender Frontman. I might be getting a red one soon.
100% Excellent!

Comments about Fender 25R Frontman Series II 25W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:
I needed an amp for my son who's starting to dabble in guitar. The simplicty of a clean or overdrive channel keeps his focus on playing, instead of tweeking controls. It has enough power and has great sound through the headphone jack. A bargin and something I'll be using too.

Bang for buck the 25R knocks it out of the park. I couldn't believe how much warm sound was coming out of it. The fit and finish was awesome. I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever.
