Comments about Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb 22W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

Been playing for 35 years, I've had many amps including vintage Deluxe Reverbs. I have had $3000 amps and many boutique amps in the past many years. It seems like I came back to the basics, the fender Black Face tone is the best for my styles. Rocking Blues, Jazz and Funk. When I saw a Deluxe Reverb in head form, I had to buy it. I plug this amp into a couple of solid pine 1x12 cabinets loaded with Vintage 30's. I play clubs about two times a week. I also record with this amp. This amp has the tone and touch sensitivity of a true vintage BF amp. The vibrato and reverb it great. The only problem I had was it did not come with a footswitch, I needed to spend another thirty five on a footswitch so I could use the vibrato.

Comments about Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb 22W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

This is a very good amplifier like having 1/2 half of a Twin Reverb. I like mine a bunch. I removed the Grove Tube tubes and replaced them with Tung-Sol and like it even more. This amp serves best with those who can do their own BIAS adjustments. Mine is very loud and can easily stand up for any venue. I have used several cabs with this amp and they all sounded good. A 2x12 cab yields a twin sound, a 4x10 cab gives you more of a super reverb sound. I have a 15" Emenence Legend 1518 home made cab that this amp just screams with and sounds like the old TR 15" combo amps. I like this amp best for C/W, Jazz, Blues and 50's-60's rock. While I'm very happy with this amp, If I only had one amp I would have a 2 channel head with an FX loop that you can also select output impedance. This amp is perfect for pure clean amplified sound. I think the head is the most versatile as you're not limited to speaker selection.
