Comments about Fender Champion 40 Guitar Combo Amp:

Nice practice amp featuring headphone jack. The on-board effects simulate tones achieved with my effect boxes and tube amp, so practice with these tones is easy and doesn't involve hooking up effects array. Loud enough for casual jamming and light enough to take anywhere. It's just what I needed for home use.

Comments about Fender Champion 40 Guitar Combo Amp:

The champion 40 is a great little Combo amp versatile and loud for its size. I play in a Ska roots rock band with seven members and a full horn section. Skeptical and a little concerned that I would not be heard over such a large group thought I would bring it to rehearsal and try it out. Surprise, the amp is loud enough at about 12 o'clock or five on the dial slight break up at that volume but really fairly good, its a two channel amp first channel has a very nice fender classic clean sound with a little break up as you turn the volume up ware this amp really gets cool is the second channel where it has many cool old amplifier sounds and i like most.that being said it wouldn't be my go to amp in most live situations not warm enough or thick enough sound in my opinion if thick is a good description for the tube amp I usually use. However I'd say for rehearsal or use at home it's much better than what you normally get at this price.

Comments about Fender Champion 40 Guitar Combo Amp:

If your playing light to medium gigs this is the little amp you need, if your a Fender man (or gal).
We do a duo gig at a wine and beer cafe and this little amp is perfect. I've been a Fender man as long as I can remember, I played through a 66 vintage Bandmaster for close to 40 years and always sounded better than I actually was. But this little Champion is exactly what the name implies it's a champ. Buy one you won't be dissapointed.

Comments about Fender Champion 40 Guitar Combo Amp:

I consider myself a decent acoustic guitar player, but I love electric blues and wanted to take a shot at learning some licks. I didn't want to put much money into this endeavor and wanted to get an amp that would be fairly easy to dial in a decent tone. Armed with a Robert Cray Strat, I wanted to stay in the Fender family. I listened to some reviews, and the Champion got good grades for ease of use and blues tone so it seemed like a no-brainer. It sure fit into my budgetary requirements. I've owned several other Fender amps, both SS and tubed, and their tone varied a good bit. I wasn't really looking for a variety of tones but just one tone that would work for me. It was easy to dial in what I wanted, and the Champion 40 seems to have been a very good choice...

Comments about Fender Champion 40 Guitar Combo Amp:

I have been playing on an off for over 40 years. I have used mostly Fender Blackface amps over the years ranging from Bandmasters to Dual Showmans and my last amp was a Carvin Belair 2x12 and 50 wts of tube power. Much like a twin reverb. So when I decided to start playing at my later years, I could not afford a tube amp anymore. Back in the day you could buy a Blackface for about what this amp costs.
So I was spoiled by tubes and their sound. This little amp has really surprised me. On the clean side you get a real nice sound and can almost hear a Blackface trying to emerge. I say almost but it is acceptable for a solid state amp. They are what they are. It has plenty of power for me as a hobbist and my 335 sounds nice and fat through it. I have not had any real heating issues with it as others have mentioned. In fact I left it on for several hours playing, taking a long break and playing some more and it did not overheat. I am not into the Gain channel and since it did NOT come with a Footswitch, I brought my Vox Tonelab SE out of retirement. Got get my tube fix somehow. It accepts the Tonelab easily.
For the money this is one good little amp. I don't think there is any thing in its price range that can touch it if you are playing blues and Classic Rock. I'm happy with it.

Comments about Fender Champion 40 Guitar Combo Amp:

This 40 watt fender guitar amp has got all i need for practice and playing at gigs. Due to it's size, i have a amp stand so i can hear it better and the sound comes out when playing at places and on stage. I was not sure if it was going to be loud enough but it worked out better than i thought. This summer i hope it will be ok when i am playing live on stage when i use it. The effects are good and i do not use all of them, even if they are all there in the amp itself. Mainly i like using the reverb that makes the fender amp sound like a reverb amp should. I am happy with it and it suits my needs.

Comments about Fender Champion 40 Guitar Combo Amp:

Just got this today to use as a practice amp for lap and pedal steel, small jams with friends and maybe occasional use with my old stratocaster. Very nice sound once you get everything dialed in, and plenty of punch for 40 watts. Has some nice effects and voices. One thing I particularly like is the reverb/delay combo effect. There is a tap button to adjust the delay, and an effect level control making it very customizable. It is less than twenty pounds, and the controls are very intuative and simple. A very nice little amp for the money.
