I purchased this through Musicians Friend once I seen the price. It's a no brainer! At the list price there was alot to choose from but at these savings you can't find another amp out there to touch it. They call this the little brother to the Cyber-Deluxe , but once you look close there is very little difference at all. The sounds are amazing coming out of the 12 inch celestion or the line out/Headphone jack. You have alot of control of the onboard effects to dial in the sound you like, using the presets as a starting point. The Spring Reverb had me looking for the real thing! Four Type's of Dial in Reverb Plus Chorus, Vibratone, Flanger, Phaser, Delay's from digital to tape to ducking all included! To dig deeper you will need a Midi Port and computer, which will open up the whole system to you. All the sounds from the Deluxe are here waiting to bust out. It's size and weight make it perfect for home or small gigs and the 65 watts are loud! The look and feel of Fender is all there! Sounds from the old 49 Champ, 55 Dekuxe, 65 Deluxe Reverb, Princeton 65 Reverb all the way up to the modern Princeton, with some brit AC30 and marshal combo's included. The only fault I have with it is I only own one! With two you can daisy chain the Midi ports and have stereo Vibratone etc...Seven Presets can be saved to your liking however you will be hard pressed on giving up the already Usable sounds that come with this Amp. From Jazz, blues, Classic Rock to 80's hair sound...it's all there. A No Brainer for a house amp, small to medium gigging amp or Mic'ed for the stadiums! Don't waste your time looking around.. get it today!

this amp is not what it is cracked up to be

I bought this amp hoping that it would be the amp, a great a great one but its not. I can't figure all of it out, I'm ever so dis-satafied with it.

Darn Near Perfect

This baby just came this morning and I gotta tell ya, this is the shortest time it ever took for me to find my sound! 30 minutes! I don't know what is wrong with that blues dude or the guy from Canada, they must not know what they want. I pulled it outta the box, set it on top of my Boogie, plugged it in, and started jammin'. After 15 minutes, I figered I ought to have a look at the manual. After a 10 minute read, I was back at it, found my sound, tweaked a couple knobs and stored it. I am a 52 year old Bluesman with a bad back, so now I no longer have to tote a heavy tube amp and a case full of effects. I would have given all 10's, but it is kinda pricey and Fender could've at least included an up/down footswitch. It's perfect for clubs, and if you need more, mic it, run it thru the system and monitors and you will realize just how loud you're playin', before you all go deaf.

Best Gear Decision in a While ...

Ask me a question

The effects are quite excellent. Bonus points for seperate reverb, modulation, and delay settings. I would really love an effects loop and a jacked speaker. Also a decay control (in addition to the depth and rate already there) for delay would be tops. But I must say I am really blown away by the tone of this amp! So dynamic and good compression.Sounds excellent on its own, but with an excellent overdrive pedal such as a tonebone - opens up even more variations and flavors.Fender sounds are by far the best of any "modeler" and the Vox sound is very good. The Marshall is usable esp with a good overdrive added. The amp types in the "amp collection" section are excellent, but experiment with guitars an pickups. The '55 sounds unbelieveable with a humbucker at the neck. For the price this is a "no brainer".

Greatest amp with a big sound but a small body

By NOmersn

from Nome Al

I have just got this amp and it plays great. The sound quality is wonderful and there are lots of pre sets. 21 sounds are on the amp with 7 that you can ajust or change completely. You save it and then move on. If you want youve got the choice on the midi controller. ( i thinks this one great. This amp is perfect for around your house. it is only 30 pounds and can fit in small places. unlike all the big huge amps. Like where are you going to fit a marshall mode four with a half stack. it like 4 feet tall. Overall i would go with this amp over any thing. My only problem with it thogh would be that it is not big enough for any of my band work. So i keep it at home in my room.

Better Than You Think

You're getting the same basic brain of the more expensive Cyber Twin and Cyber Deluxe for a steal. It routes the signal the same way the amp that you selected does.. not just models it. Top notch effects round it out. Quit banging your head trying to decide which amp and grab it before they're gone. Great warranty and suppport in every city with size. Even you tube snobs will be impressed for three bills.

A Great little Fender

By Telemaster-JYp3a

The Cyber-champ has 21 presets and 7 of them are rewritable. Pretty much all of the presets sound good. I don't like that it doesn't come with a foot switch though and there is nothing to plug a foot switch into. What I recomend doing is if you need two different sounds you should buy a distortion pedal. The effects sound great on it and there a really sweet tap button to control the timing of the effects and Reverb. Overall this is a great little amp.

Nice Amp

By RC from Toledo

I purchased this amp about a month ago, so I've had time to play with it a bit and get it dialed into the sound I was looking for. For the "hobbyist" player that I am, it's all the amp I'll ever need. It seems to be built "Fender" tough, and can be very load when you want it to be. The effects aray is awesome. If I have any complaints about this amp, it would be that I wish Fender would have added a by-pass switch so one could by-pass all the effects and play "clean" when they wanted to. Also, a foot-switch would have been nice. Other than those two over-sights, I'm happy with it.

Many great tones. However, because of the variety, it is a lot of work searching out a particular sound.

Fender cyber champ

By DJ Salcido

from Mesa, AZ

Bought this amp in June '05 and have been playing nothing but this amp since! this digital amp reacts and sounds very similar to tube amps. The fender presets are Awesome as well as the british combo. Very simple to use and VERY LOUD if you need it to be. It was loud enough to be heard over my drummer at "5"! it doesn't come with a foot controller, which speaks volumes of fender's poor customer service, and which is why I didn't give it all "10's". Otherwise this amp totally rocks!

This is one fantastic piece of equipment. I do not consider myself a musician, but I like to play to entertain myself. This amp provides so many effects and flexibility I have a renewed interest in my guitar.

learn how to use this ultimate amp

By Studiotemp

from Chicago

OK forget all the presets on the first 2 banks THEY SUCK ! But go to the 3rd user section and this amp will make your jeans sticky I start out with the A letter and turn the knobs all the way right with the master down , play with the knobs till they all light green then you can deign 7 of your own sounds by setting the amp the way you want to save press the button till the entire row flashes and that will save that setting forever if you want It has the most incredable sounding effects and that's a fact JACK!

You can't have more fun for the money!

By 90403man

from SoCaBe

An amazing selection of amps and effects for all styles of music. Very versatile; lots of fun; price is right.Including the Celestion speaker is a great premium choice.65 watts makes it giggable in some situations; but this amp is also at home in the living room or bedroom and has great tone at any volume. It's easy to dial in the amps and effects on the front panel.Learning how to become a power user will take me a little longer. I know there's much more to it than I've found. Extra documentation or a faq answering service would be helpful.

Pretty nice amp

By djork

from Cinti, OH

The amp sounds good. I have a 67 Princeton and it's pretty close. It is loud too. I play an American Strat-Standard and an Epi-Dot through it, both sound pretty solid. I love the tuner features, the effects and the ability to write my own presets, though I'd prefer to have more writable ones. It seems about half of the presets have sounds I like. Other than that, the hum reduction is good because 1-2 the presets have so much gain they suck. I also wish it had a pedal. All that being said, it was $300. I'm not sure I've heard or played a better amp for that price.

Faultless, Great Clean & Models

By Tube Snob

At the blow-out price it's a steal. Maybe a little too loud for what it is, but a great practice amp. Nice clean highs, good bottom, and very tweakable. At this price it's the total package assuming you'll use the clean side. If not, check out the Roland Cube-30,

Great Amp

The Cyber-Champ absolutely NAILS the various Fender amps. It does a pretty good job on the Marshall and Vox models as well. Easy to operate. 7 modifiable presets are plenty for me. This amp can be very loud - and also sounds freat at very low volumes. The Deluxe Tweed sound alone is worth the price.

A great amp - I just got

Ask me a question

I bought mine last Dec. I love the effects, the sound and also that it is not a heavy amp to carry around. The problem with my unit: after a month, everytime I play for a very short period of time (less than 5 minutes), the sound gets cut down to about 50%. After I silence all the strings for about 3 seconds, strike a chord again - full sound, next note/chord, about 50% of the volume is lost again. The first time I took it to be repaired they replaced the headphones board. It did not fix the problem. I just left it again today.I really like the amp. I may have to ask for a new one if they cannot fix it.

stringmusic acquires fender amps

Just bought 2 new fender amps this cyber champ and an acoustasonic jr. What great amps. For being solid state they are quite musical. relatively light and so much stuff on them that I have replace my pedal steel amp with the cyber and may have to buy another for guitar. You should try em out at rehearsal and small gigs. For pro touring I might go to a cyber deluxe but by then I won't have to move that amp up and down stairs or schlep it around town.
