Great effects, powerful sound. Tuner is not so great, though, but still convenient. Can be used for any style of music. Timbre button provides great variety of sounds.
I,ve had my new amp for about a month now and I love it. I purchased it from this web site and as always every thing came on time and was in great shape. I'm using this amp as my show case amp. This 900 Deluxe has such a sweet sound clean channel is just that clean. As for the features you can only use one at a time anyway, with the foot switch you have memory for all of the fuctions nice amp. The speeker is also sweet, great for one 12".This amp is also good for recording because of crispness and clean sound plenty of power you woun't get blown away by drums or an organ. I also have a 65 watt twin 10"speekers that I use along with my deluxe 900 I don't play them togather I play them sepretly. Save your bucks and check it out.
While a bit pricey for a soid state, 90 watt 1-12" amp, the Deluxe 900 is a competent performer. If you love that clean Fender sound, this amp will give it to you. The clean channel does that clean Fender magic, including the ability to tweak the highs, mids, and lows. The Drive 1 and Drive 2 channels let you dial in nice amounts of distortion for nearly all styles of music. The timber tone filters let you instantly change the amp's character at the press of a button, and may be a superior approach to attempting to model different amps. Another nice feature is that the amp remembers which timbre you selected for each channel, so at the press of the included foot switch, you can instantly change between 3 very different sounds. The effects aren't bad, and provide the ability to vary their intensity and speed. The absence of a separate reverb control (which is included on the Stage 1000) is somewhat limiting. Reverb is considered an effect on this amp, and with a few exceptions, the other effects do not include reverb - effects such as tremolo and flanger could certainly benefit from having some reverb.Other nice features include the built-in tuner and a line out jack for recording. This is a very powerful, nice looking amp in a light weight, compact package. The Celestion speaker holds up well under high volume.I can recommend this for jamming and small gigs. The reason I gave Value an '8' was because I believe there are other amps on the market with comparable features at lower prices - in a sense, we may be paying for the Fender name here.
I just got this amp today at the local music store. This thing sounds absolutely amazing. The clean is crystal clear and the drive channel is wicked. All though as far as I know u can only use one effect at a time which is kinda disappointing but as soon as u plug into it you'll love it.
i bought the marshall mg100 at first. 3 days later the top of it was rumbling and making all this noise so i returned it and i wasnt going to let that happen again so i exchanged it for this. This has these awesome timbre filter presets, has 16 DSP effects, a built in tuner, 3 channels, a goood footswitch. the marshall had this terrible footswitch, closed back so you couldnt store anything back in the amp, had 6 effects, no tuner, no timbre filters. This amp sounds just great for a small cost. It has this conviennent velcro strap in the back of the amp to carry your footswitch easily. PLENTY LOUD too. I put it to 1 and a half and it fills my whole town house. GREAT AMP, cant wait to gig with it.
I was planning to inicially buy a CRATE XT120R since I prefered to invest the money in a good axe, overall I was really pleased with the sound when I tried it thru a Gibson Les Paul Studio. Man, after I plugged into this Fender, forget the damn CRATE! this thing blew me away, the 12 Celestion Speaker is aawesome, the construction and the finish are professional. The amp is really versatile as you can carry it with one hand (for not to long) and it has this good tuner. It has a clean channel and then you can swap between two overdriven channels adjusting different parameters like volume, drive and 7 differents timbres independently and controled by the foot switchIt has a knob where you can selec beetwen differents effects like delay, chorus, reverb, vibrato, flanger and combinations between these. The only bad this is that as far as I know you cannot preset this effects to be used for each channel. Overall is agood amp to gig with.
All of the features on this amp fit my style almost perfectly. I can get a perfect rock distortion out of the drive 2 channel. And I can get alot of cool overdrive tones out of the drive 1 channel. The timbre filters on this amp just makes it even better. You can get so many tones with the timbre filters. and most of the effects are really nice as well.
Its a great amp to step up to from a smaller amp. Its has many effects on it so you don't have to buy all of the seperate pedals.
My friends dad has this amp and i have played it and am soooo in love with it! it isnt as big a a marshall 1/2 stack r nuthin so you can take it places. plus it ha a 3way footswitch and tons of effex ( not to mention the built in tuner that mutes the speaker when you turn it on) overall this is a great amp and reccomend it for gig players who want an amp to play at home and transport easily.
Im getting a new amp in the next month or so and i did a lot of research at guitar center and online. I narrowed my searches down to Marshall and Fender amps. I played the marshall mg100dfx and the sound blew me away. It was smooth and crisp but then this fender 900 caught my eye and i decided to try it. after playing this amp i decided to get the money for this instead of the marshall. This amp is much more versatile than the MG100DFX and it has a tuner built in it and the value for it is much better than the Marshall.
