I use this cab under a Peavey ValveKing VK100 head, and I like the sound that is produced. The clean sounds great, but my favorite is when the distortion comes through. It's not muddy at all and handles anything from Drop C power chords to pinch harmonics. I would recommend this cab to anyone.
This cabinet is totally awsome. Unlike other cabinets this one pours out a very sweet tone and a clear one at that. This cabinet can also keep up with the heaviest of distortion without a nasty sound. This is the perfect cabinet if you are looking for one that will not give you crap when you plug it in.
I bought this cab for the Musicians Friend price through a local guitar store using rpice match. The speakers are custom made and they can handle my Fender FM-100H with amazing tone. It's over all very great, and it has an awesome price to boot. The only flaw with the cab really, is that it is only a mono. But its a steal. I would recommend it to anyone.
This cabinet is listed as a 412 having Fender Special Design speakers. This is a bit of a misnomer. Fender SD speakers are actually made by Eminence. You couldn't buy a used cabinet & 4 12" Eminences and build this yourself for that cheap. This is the best deal going for cabs right now.
Right now I?m using it with a Dean Evo Dragster or a Fender Standard Telecaster, and a Boss Fender 65 Deluxe Reverb Amp Pedal. It sounds great, it?s the best think you can get for the money I use it with the Fender FM100. It sounds great at a soft volume, and if you?re in a big room, the sound just fills up, and sounds just as good even at higher volume.
Honestly I have played on hundreds of cabs and this one is up there with the best. For the price you can't beat it.
i use this cabinet with the Fender FM 100H head. its very loud and had clear tone. great cabinet for the price. its durable and sounds great!
I bought the Fender FM412 cabinet about a year ago. It hasn't failed me and always delivers. The wheels sometimes come out, but other than that, it's still in the same condition and holds strong through any gig. I use a Marshall 100HDFX head. The only problem i come across is that the sound quality turns to mud after you put it past 6-7, which I'm pretty sure is just the Marshall. This cabinet is great if you got a budget because it's incredibly cheap and is very durable.
I use this great amp Bottom along with the matching fm100 head to MIKE a 122 Leslie with Shure SM57's. It has all the features and power I need to Make my Hammond Porta B and Yamaha Keyboard Scream. Such a great value, I may get another. I am very happy with this Fender product!!!
I found my Fender FM412 at a local music store and I am very satisfied with my purchase. Although it weighs more than a Marshall 1960 cab I can still tote it around in my little VW Golf with no help from others. The removable speaker screen allows more choices when miking and the cabniet itself is built very well. Great functional cab for the price.
