I've had this amp about a month now. I purchased it from this web site. I've played the guitar for 45 years now and I think Fender hit the nail with these FM solid state amps. After all, I'm an old tube guy, but if a good solid state could be made it's Fender. I've only had one other amp that wasn't a Fender and I gave it away to Goodwill! Fender is quality. There are guys that think if it won't blow the paint off the walls it's no good. This amp is plenty loud. It kicks for 65 watts. The reverb isn't as strong as the old tubes but over all it's a damb good amp for the money. My first amp cost my parents $300.00 back in 1961 or so. What a deal this amp is in 2006. My first amp was a twin twelve one hundred watts, and was purchased at a large department store at that time it was the most popular among amps, Fender was way out of everyone's price range. If you are hell bent on tubes save your cash and hope for the best. Some progress isn't bad.

I own this amp and I play a Les Paul Standard through it. The amp is nice and loud and sounds great on the clean channel, however, it has no mids only bass and treble, which I find limiting. And the distortion channel I find to be absolute garbage, I avoid using it and borrow someone's tube amp if I must play dirty!! I play blues and it is not ideal for me. Maybe a Strat would sound better through it as opposed to the LP.I am looking to sell this amp as I am not loving it!!

This is an Amazing Amp!

By NathanG906

from Tuscaloosa, Alabama

This is amp is great. The tone is great. I use it every sunday in my church. It is really load and I have to turn it towards the wall and mic it. The only thing that is missing from this amp that would make it amazing is a mid control on the clean channel. Other than that this amp is great. I recommend it to beginners and pro's alike. I've been playin for seven years and I don't consider it a beginners amp.

great deal, especially for a fender amp..

By Anonymous

This amp is great! I have owned it for a week and I love it. My friend got a fender 30 watt for 200, and I got this one for 260, and it has more than double the power. It sounds great. I dont know what else to say.

Great little gigging amp!

This amp screams with power. The clean side is great, but the dirty side needs help. I don't use the dirty side. I bought the Danelectro Daddy O. Overdrive tube pedal and this amp really came alive! Now, a great clean and dirty amp for playing out live without the heavy amp weight! I Love It!!!

Decent amp for starters.

By git-fiddler

This amp is really a good amp for starters that are getting their feet wet playing live. When I got mine I really liked it, but later on I began to realize that it couldn't do some of the things that I was needing. The church I attend meets in a movie theater (acoustics are AMAZING!), only problem here is that our band creates a lot of sound for the small area in which we meet. Without a way to hook it up without a mic it makes things rather difficult.

Great amp for the money

By Derek-Soydf

from Wilson, New York

Great starter amp all in all. Has a great clean tone and pretty good distortion. Great amp for classic to hard rock but not enough high end for hardcore and death metal. Low end is great and can really shake your house. One of the loudest amps that I have ever heard. Great amp for the money but I would save up for a Line 6.

Great amp!!!

Ok I actually own the fm 65 with one twelve inch speaker but they're basically the same. Like everyone else says the reverb is pretty weak but thats why pedals were invented. The distortion is great and this amp is definitelly big enough for most gigs. I played at my middle school rex awards a while ago and I couldn't turn it up past three without drowning out the PA system. Buy it up!

This fender amp is just plain wow. Even though you cant choose a certain effect, you still get a smooth tone out of it. There is one problem though. When your using overdrive, there's alot of fedback. Overall I say it's a very good amp. Also a great practice amp.

Great Simple Full 65 Watt Amp

By workknot

Just got my Fender FM210R amp and put it through some motions. Great sounding and simple to operate. Good value for an amp with 2- 10 inch Fender speakers and the reverb is very adequate. I would not hesitate to purchase this one again.
