My expensive guitars are in the case. My 50W and 15W amps have a cover. My pedalboard has 13 pedals and is also covered. As you can see, it takes me some time to set everything up before start playing. I decided to buy a cheap guitar and a mini amp that I can leave on the floor or couch, already plugged in, so I can just grab the guitar, turn the amp on and practice for a few minutes everyday.
I ended up buying the Fender package that includes a Squier strat, the Frontman 10G, a clip-on tuner, etc., for only Cdn199. I don't care if they get dust, snow, rain, hurricane..... I now practice everyday.
This amp has a nice clean sound and it is quite loud for its size. It can fit under the bed! The overdrive is ok for a practice amp. It has a 6" speaker in a small enclosure, so do not expect big sounds, obviously. Recommended for bedroom or small studio. Once again, this is a practice amp with a nice Fender sound. Good tool if you play on the streets (I don't). Actually, with the package, it costs less than a mini amp and sounds ten times better.
I've been playing guitar for almost 40 years, so I do appreciate good equipment. You have to be realistic. If you want pro sound, get pro equipment and be prepared to pay for it. This is a good amp for the size and price.

I bought this to replace a Vox AC30 headphone amp that broke the 1st time I dropped the little blighter.. I just cannot get over the noise from my Frontman 10G which I use in my NYC apartment... the problem may be all the transient noise from other electronics but the only way I get a semi usable sound is on clean with my Boss DS-1 in front

The overdrive is woeful but I suppose for the low price paid and its real use this is more than adequate to practice with... I'll be bringing my Mustang II back to use in my apartment and get a Mustang V for the country and this thing will be banished to my closet..

The Mustang II is brilliant BTW

Comments about Fender Frontman 10G 10W Guitar Combo Amp:

this is the smallest fender amp, that's why I bought it. super light. sounds fine if you realize what it is. buy it because its reliable ,cheap and, portable. Not some sixty pound tuber. of course its no super cranker but it is durable. I have other, bigger, equipment so this is just what I needed. crank it to ten, youre not gonna hurt this thing. they build these for a living you know.

    good product for the money

Comments about Fender Frontman 10G 10W Guitar Combo Amp:

As far as small cheap amps are concerned, this is the best I have seen. The clean channel is great, and the distortion is acceptable. As with any amp this size it's limited on volume, but in the 3-7 range it isn't bad at all. The amp looks great, and seems to be of decent quality. Nothing jumps out at me as being particularly cheap and flimsy, and believe me, I would absolutely tell you if it did. The only real flaw I see is that the speaker performs poorly if you turn the volume way up. It seems to me that they should know the limitations of the small speaker and adjust the output accordingly. The 7-10 range on the volume is useless, and if somebody insists playing on 10, the speaker is going to endure un-necessary punishment that it probably can't withstand over time. This would especially be a problem in the hands of a child, and I purchased 2 of these for use by children. Overall, I think this amp is a fine choice as far as this price range goes. If you are looking for something small, buy one. They're not bad! You're not gonna get the tone of a fender hotrod deluxe, or the face melting distortion of a marshall, but for the money it's a good buy.

Comments about Fender Frontman 10G 10W Guitar Combo Amp:

I use this amp for practicing in small spaces where I can't be too loud. I have almost never turned it up past 3 or 4 because it quickly gets louder than would be polite to my neigbors. One thing that is really nice about this small amp is that it distorts even at the low volumes which I find to be a lot more fun than only having the option of clean tones.

It's small so doesn't take up much room and easy to travel with. Sound is just good enough to hear your electric guitar but I would not use it to play live or record with. Clean is just okay and drive is not that great. Should be cheaper than the price sold for.
