Packing 30 watts means you can create, connect, and configure your ultimate sound while jamming with your band.

The Fender G-DEC 3 Thirty packs 30W of power into a 1x10 combo amp in Fender's Guitar Digital Entertainment Center series. The G-DEC 3 Thirty takes an exciting leap forward in technology and content with easy computer connectivity. An additional bonus is that many of the Fender G-DEC 3 amp's 100 presets and audio performance loops are created by the world's top artists and session aces.

The G-DEC 3's wealth of backing tracks consists not of generic presets and loops, but rather a stylistically diverse sonic smorgasbord of tracks created specially for Fender by top rock, blues, metal, and country artists and session players.

Consequently, the Fender G-DEC 3 can easily be configured as an "all rock," "all metal," "all blues," or "all country" amp personally tailored to your own musical tastes.

The G-DEC 3 also includes the exclusive Fender FUSE software interface, which connects the amp to a computer as easily as connecting your digital camera, without need for any special adapters or hardware. With Fender FUSE you can download and upload backing tracks, edit performance parameters, and swap files with a worldwide community of fellow guitar players.

Great amp with tons of bang for your buck!

Features:

This amp alone is amazing with all the different settings for amps and effects, but then thrown in Fender Fuse, and this is a ton of fun to practice and jam with. I have it connected to my sound system with stereo connections and with the stereo effects built in, it sounds great! I The dubbing feature is great to compose a melody and then be able to lay down additional licks on top to complete a nice track. Endless possibilities with this amp. Highly recommend getting the footswitch option for this amp. I did and I love it!

Quality:

It's a Fender. What else can you say, but top quality from the Fender company as I would expect!

Value:

I paid more for my Digitech pedal board than I did for this amp and I still use my Digitech on some occations but the G-Dec3 amps and effects are great through the amp and sound even greater through my sound system. Could definiely use this amp to play gigs in small settings with PA system.

Overall:

If I could only have one amp and I couldn't afford to shell out several hundred or even a thousand or two, this amp is the one I would buy! I've only had it for a couple weeks and I haven't even scratched the surface of what this baby can do. With the software and USB connections and SD card slot, it is really great to have with a multi-media pc and sound system to compose and record. The Fender Fuse Online Community is a great resource to get downloads for other presets and mp3 to jam with. You won't be disappointed with the Fender Dec3!!!

A 5 star Amp and then some,

Features:

This is a great amp, and I do agree with the lack of manual information. I have had my G 3 about two months, and I have just started to learn small part of all this amp can do. There are so many different features on the G 3 it well take some time to learn them.  There is a great software disk that comes with the amp, and that is were you start to learn how to use the great features. If you have a laptop our PC just start the disk and be amazed,
Quality:
Its a Fender amp, there's not much more to say.
Value:
Great value for so little, this amp could sale for much more.
Overall:

I'm so happy with this amp, the learning curve of this amp well keep me learning things I don't know. As well as making me a better guitarist, if you learning to play this amp is a great pick. And if you are a guitarist of many years under you belt, you well only benefit from this amp.  Its a great practice amp and could easily be lined into a PA for live  performances.  Yes  I recommend this amp highly.

G-DEC 3 review

Features:

My only complaint about this amp is, a more detailed instruction manual is needed! This amp can do so many functions, but due to it's limited use of simple to understand instructions, a beginner will only be able to use a fraction of this amp's ability. This is my second amp of this improved model (I purchased the G-DEC 30 in Dec.2008)...I would highly recommend this amp, as I feel this is great value for the money spent!

Love it!

Features:

I am loving my new "toy"!

My only complaint would be the lack of documentation that came with it. After downloading and reading the owners manual, it's apparent that this little wonder is capable of many things I hadn't even thought of. Unfortunately, I had to burn many sheets of paper and a cartriage of ink to find that out.

Other than that, my little "band in a box" is awesome!

Quality:

Typical Fender quality. Looks like it will last for a long time. Wondering why no vent in the back but I assume the sound engineers figured it out.

Value:

Good for the money. It's exactly what I wanted since I generally play for my own enjoyment.

Overall:

Where are the free backing tracks on the website? I've received e-mails before but now can't find what they were pointing to. Specifically Jeff Beck, Clapton, Dave Matthews, et al.

Great little amp

Features:

I really like the fact that I can use the Fuse software to configure the amp.

Quality:

I've had the amp for a couple of weeks now and I have no issues or concerns.  The quality seems to be fine so far.

Value:

good value for what I was looking for in an amp.

Overall:

Playing guitar is a hobby for me and I've been looking for a way to get access to various effects pedals without breaking the bank.  I've looked at various options and keep coming back to a software based solution that allows me the flexibility to add/remove and tweek all the pedals that I want to try.  I looked pretty seriously at Line 6, but in the end I decided on the Fender primarily because of the Fuse software.  I recently bought a Bronco Bass amp, which also uses the FUSE software and I really like it's flexibility.   I also have a friend that is a very good musician who was raving about the G-DEC.   It's a great practice amp, which is all that I was looking for.  It sounds great and meets my expectations.
