This is the amp I've needed at home for the longest time. It plays great with all my guitars, Fender or Gibson. Not each amp model is made for every guitar I own, but I found the right amp models for each guitar easily in a matter of minutes. This amp is loud for 40 watts, not noisy, but pretty powerful for at home play. I could probably play a small gig with it. The effects are nice, but if you want to run your pedal board through it, that works too. Really nice for the price. I had a Line 6 Flextone modeling amp 10 years ago, and this sounds so much better -- the tech has gotten so good for these Fender Mustang V.2 amps. For a small bedroom I never roll the master volume past 4, and that's too loud on my Les Pauls for my ears. I haven't connected it to my computer or used the recording and amp tweaking software you download when you get it, that's how good it is out of the box. I'm really happy with this amp. For the money it's great fun.

It is truly worthwhile to play through this amp before you buy it. Some may like the sound others will not. This amp has been recommended in its class for providing a wide range of tones and the Fender Fuse technology increases those greatly. For me, I was looking for a practice amp that could model a wide variety of sounds from clean to blues to hard rock. I found the Roland Cube 40xl to be a better choice. It did a better job in each of these areas than the Mustang.

Comments about Fender Mustang II V.2 40W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

The amp is great, when I purchased I was supposed to get 16% in rewards points, I only received 8%, when I called in and pointed out the error they said they would look into it, a week later they took more than half of my previously earned rewards points, I'm still waiting for them to reinstate my correct awards points but it's been several weeks and numerous e-mails, I've never had a problem like this before with Musician's Friend!

Awesome Amp! It is a great 2nd amp to upgrade to after you have some chops. I really like all of the different modulations that you can try out before beginning to buy pedals. It is loud enough to keep up with a drum set when practicing.

i bought this amp as a temporary substitute for my tube amp which is in the shop. i use the fender deluxe model on the amber color, master volume pegged and i adjust the volume with the gain and non master volume knobs on the far left of panel..i get a very clean fendery type sound and use an mxr classic distortion pedalfor soloing. couldn't be happier and it weighs 21 lbs!!! my tube amp weighs in at 61 lbs. and i don't hear a substantial difference in tone...good job fender, you finally did it...j

Set up the Twin Reverb as your Clean Preset, and any one of the other amp models you like, for High Gain/Overdrive. Choose your Effects, You're "Good To Go"! Use the Fender 1 Button foot-switch {buy one} to toggle between! The effects are Good! Too!

This amp is awesome for the price. There are a ton of features And when you plug it in to your computer you can create your own amp settings for tons of amps Orr download presets other people made. You also get some free recording software I havnt tried that yet. I havnt had a chance to use it to jam with a band so I'm not sure if the voulume will hold up there but it sounds pretty loud alone in my room. I ordered the foot switch to switch between 2 presets which is pretty cool. I almost bought the line 6 spider for the same price I'm happy I went with this it does everything the line 6 does with way way more features

I needed to replace an old practice amp that was acting up. I found replacing it with this amp cheaper than repairing the old one. I really like the modern features of this amplifier and the easy portability as well. Plenty of power for me.

The amp models that this guy has are pretty nice. Although, they lack some of the warmth of a tube amp, they are awesome for the price. My biggest complaint is the millisecond that it cuts out when you use a foot switch to jump between sounds. This makes switching between sounds during a live performance almost completely out of the question. It's a fun little practice and/or recording amp tho.
