This is the amp I've needed at home for the longest time. It plays great with all my guitars, Fender or Gibson. Not each amp model is made for every guitar I own, but I found the right amp models for each guitar easily in a matter of minutes. This amp is loud for 40 watts, not noisy, but pretty powerful for at home play. I could probably play a small gig with it. The effects are nice, but if you want to run your pedal board through it, that works too. Really nice for the price. I had a Line 6 Flextone modeling amp 10 years ago, and this sounds so much better -- the tech has gotten so good for these Fender Mustang V.2 amps. For a small bedroom I never roll the master volume past 4, and that's too loud on my Les Pauls for my ears. I haven't connected it to my computer or used the recording and amp tweaking software you download when you get it, that's how good it is out of the box. I'm really happy with this amp. For the money it's great fun.

It is truly worthwhile to play through this amp before you buy it. Some may like the sound others will not. This amp has been recommended in its class for providing a wide range of tones and the Fender Fuse technology increases those greatly. For me, I was looking for a practice amp that could model a wide variety of sounds from clean to blues to hard rock. I found the Roland Cube 40xl to be a better choice. It did a better job in each of these areas than the Mustang.

Comments about Fender Mustang II V.2 40W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I needed to replace an old practice amp that was acting up. I found replacing it with this amp cheaper than repairing the old one. I really like the modern features of this amplifier and the easy portability as well. Plenty of power for me.

Comments about Fender Mustang II V.2 40W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

The amp models that this guy has are pretty nice. Although, they lack some of the warmth of a tube amp, they are awesome for the price. My biggest complaint is the millisecond that it cuts out when you use a foot switch to jump between sounds. This makes switching between sounds during a live performance almost completely out of the question. It's a fun little practice and/or recording amp tho.

Comments about Fender Mustang II V.2 40W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

So many sounds available. I haven't even scratched the surface. I do know that it's pretty easy to get a good sound off the top of my head. It doesn't act like a normal amplifier, so it takes a bit to get used to the fact that you're using a computer basically. After a bit, you get the hang of it. I just started using the software, and it's a bit over my head right now. I will get it together eventually. Right now I just love having all of these high quality sounds right there when I want them.

Comments about Fender Mustang II V.2 40W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

This is a great little amp. It's not a high-end amp, butI can get classic Fender tones from years gone by with it's on-board effects selections. It's a good value and perfect for small venue playing. I'm pretty much retired, but I play or sit in at the occasional gig. It's really lightweight and so portable. If I'm feeling a little frisky, I can use the software interface to download all sorts of things from Fender or the web. Very happy with the purchase. Thanks Musician's Friend!

Amp has multiple pre-sets for effects but not one for a simple, no effect amp. At least I can't find it.

Comments about Fender Mustang II V.2 40W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

Just received the mustang today. It will grow on you the more you fiddle around with it. Play my les paul through it sounds good, clean, and loud enough... BUT... I bought an orange crush LDX20 a month or so ago and to me it has superior sound in a much more compact package, but lacks USB and a couple of bells and whistles the mustang offers. Waiting on my squire modified custom that's on backorder, I think the mustang will be just fine for it. Overall, a good, quality amp.

I bought this amp for my husband who is an aspiring metal band member! He is just learning how to play and was frustrated with the old amp he had. This new amp has made the sound sharper and cleaned up each movement he makes. He is doing much better since we got this. He loves it.

Comments about Fender Mustang II V.2 40W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

This amp is a lot of fun to play around with and will do anything I need it for. It seems pretty complicated at first and will do a lot of stuff with the Fuse Software that I have not mastered yet. It has enough preset selections to copy a lot of amp models right up front. I own 5 amps and this has been about the only one I've played since I got it over a year ago. I have never found an amp that will do so much for the price. If I play acoustic, I stick with my acoustic amp. This thing is great for any electric sound I want.

Comments about Fender Mustang II V.2 40W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I bought the 20 watt Mustang for my son and was amazed at the quality and variety of tones available using the Fuse software. The Mustang II takes it up a notch with 40 watts and a 12 in speaker. This is loud enough for small venues and practices. The only real drawback is the lack of a display showin gthe preset name- have to go to the Mustang III or up for that but shouldnt have to. Most amps are a one tone pony - the Mustang can do anything from clean, jazz, blues , punk or metal

This a great amp for it's low price. It's easy to use and the Fuse software is awesome. It sounds great and it packs a punch. Nice amp modeling and effects. Besides a few small software glitches especially with the tuner response being too slow. This could be my computer causing this. The tuner on the amp works fine. All in all a great amp.
